Well three of them at least, Glenn Matlock, Paul Cook and Steve Jones, plus their mate Frank Carter at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust were absolutely fantastic. A great night and a worthy night. Didn’t get a chance to see them at the Bush Hall last summer as was on holiday, but glad I managed to get to see them live.
I always thought he was Rangers and recall he was big mates with Ian Stewart (our former winger, that is, not Suggs’ dead Nazi mate).
It’s bad enough that Jonesy is. 🤬
He is Chelsea. I interviewed him last year, and asked about that famous photo that seems to show him at a Chelsea v QPR game. It was him, and he always supported Chelsea.

Thought you meant Steve Cook for a second!
Although to be honest, it kind of wouldn't surprise me if he did.
Cook... born in Shepherds Bush, lives in Hammersmith but supports 'them'
I know not everyone supports the club local to them but Shepherds Bush/Acton etc born & bred people supporting Chelsea is really the lowest of the low.

I have been told that Paul Cook's dad was a Ranger - he must have been mortified when his son went over to the dark side 😲

Johnny Rotten, unsurprisingly, pouring scorn over it all.
The thing is, I've never understood why John Lydon seems to think the Sex Pistols are his band, at least it feels to me he does.
The Pistols were essentially formed in the early 70's by Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Wally Nightingale. Jones hated singing and had anxiety about it. Matlock joined later on then the band came under the wing of McLaren who started to mould them. John joined a year or so later still as the band very much needed a front man/singer so Jones could focus on guitar and to be fair, John was perfect. "a real arsehole, but smart" said Jones.
But it's not his band however much he was an integral part of it.

Ah I need to watch The Filth and The Fury documentary again, really enjoyed that.
Was very clear how much they hated McLaren as they included audio of his interviews but placed that alongside video of a bloke in an armchair wearing an inflatable gimp mask

I blame FA Cup Final Day being broadcast on TV,
If you're old fella did'nt take you to football, back in the 70's etc there was only 6 hours of live football on TV,
The FAC Cup Final + the £ Home Internationals,
Hence why so many Chelsea, United and even Leeds fans in West London from that age-group like Cook.
