You say possibly nothing to lose to throw Ballard in, but 2 of those games are against Arsenal and Man C where the chances are we will get trounced
That could have a reverse effect and smash any confidence he may have.
As you say, he hasn't set the lower leagues alight, so leave him til next season, or maybe give him 20-30 mins as a sub at maximum
