The second paragraph was my initial thoughts, where's all the money coming from for these coaches who don't come cheap, have we got a new investor, if not we should be trimming the coaching staff to make sure the budget is available for player retention and recruitment. Theres no question these jobs are a nice to have but can we really afford extra coaches, it's like we are trying to achieve a Premiership set up without the money. |

I was getting the same, thanks for fixing, the upside was that it prompted me to load Norton on my new tablet..... |

We don't that's the problem as you will gather from Clive's previews and reports, the OP has posted stuff that is apparently fact but after repeated requests can't substantiate where the information originated. I posed the question earlier that somebody with dyslexia would be unlikely to construct the original OP, we were then told it was written with AI which is possible, personally I know nothing about AI and Chatgpt but i guess you need a reasonable amount of literacy in the first place to create an informative piece of writing. As you rightly say for anybody to know this information it has to come from a source at the club. |
 | Forum Reply | Season perspectives at 08:52 5 May 2025
Exactly you posed the question on page 8 and it was conveniently avoided, the OP has stated he has nothing to do with the club on page 1 , so bearing in mind the total blackout of news coming from the club obviously at CNs directive how can he know this information. We all have to make guesses about what's going on all the time but my guess is Nourry does read this site, is perturbed by the overwhelming negativity towards him and obviously wants to change that perception. He was too frightened to let Clive have his regular interview with Marti, he knows the sort of questions that would have been posed and was afraid of the potential answers. So now we have a campaign to try and change the views of the regular contributors to LFW, not sure why but probably the insecurity that comes with being such an inexperienced CEO, therein lies most of the problem. This screams of the Paladini years which were horrendous for his total mismanagement, getting stooges like Qblockpete and Scott Jones to continually post contrary views to try and generate some positivity. I am genuinely wishing for the day that Marti gets another job and can then do an interview giving his side of the story, I'm sure he can't say a word if he still wants to get paid, bit like a gagging order. As for the OP saying he has Dyslexia how the hell did he manage to post such a precise post in the first place, we've seen before genuine people with dyslexia on this board..... The biggest worry is who is exactly making the decisions as we no longer have a Manager/Head Coach, oh let me guess that will be the very experienced Director of Football, what could possibly go wrong. |
 | Forum Reply | The QPR summer transfer rumours thread at 09:10 4 May 2025
Not a transfer rumour but Luton are down and some of their players may be up for grabs, not sure of Carlton Morris's contract length but it may be up this Summer, if so I think he's a good shout for the type of player we need up front, or we could just get some completely unknown player from Europe whose never played in the Championship. |
 | Forum Reply | Steve Cook at 08:26 4 May 2025
Agreed the communication lines are poor but that post for me is the best bit of news for the whole week after a serious amount of turmoil. If we can keep Steve Cook for another season that will help big time with the squad being rebuilt, we just need Jimmy to post the same news, fingers and toes crossed.... |
 | Forum Reply | Jimmy Dunne at 17:08 3 May 2025
Absolutely have loved Jimmy's commitment and desire to win, he is exactly the type of player you need in the Championship, I desperately hope we have the budget to offer him a contract but I can't help feeling he's off to pastures new, thanks so much......Jimmy |

I can't help but think Lee Hoos was heavily involved in the final decision, I'm guessing that Ruben puts a lot of trust in Lee and he would want Lees input before making a final decision. (Nourry is Lees man ) I'm still hugely sceptical about Twitter, anybody can create an account for their own agenda...... [Post edited 2 May 15:36]

Obviously guessing but it's a lot easier for somebody at the club to manipulate Twitter to impact supposed public opinion for their agenda....... |

I know it makes me laugh, he's very well educated and likes to show it off with every press release, he disappears up his own backside trying to be smart and clever, there's no need for the Nourry speak but sadly it's impressed Lee Hoos big time. I agree it does appear he's the boards man but I'm thinking he's more Lee Hoos man than he is Amit and Rubens, it's all about what the owners think at the end of the day. Nourry is just a club employee to be given such a level of power at his age is dangerous, I'm not being ageist, he has obviously done some good work in certain areas but there are lots of soft skills you need to develop in a work environment and managing people is tough, something that invariably takes years to develop. |

The start of the season was very poor I spoke with a friend of mine yesterday who supports Fulham, he reminded me that we were destined for relegation until the middle of November, the away win at Cardiff seemed to be the turn around in results. I personally think the Summer recruitment had a lot to do with the poor start to the season, nearly all the players were from European leagues and had not played any Championship football before. It was apparent very quickly that the new players were finding it hard to adjust and it was going to take time, in the case of Madsen I don't think it will ever happen and I can't believe I'm saying this but we would have been better off keeping Dozzell. That start to the season was because we had a purely analytical approach to recruitment, agreed it's something we've been asking for but it doesn't have to be all or nothing and we needed some Championship experience among the recruits. The players have developed as the season has progressed, some have shown they are good enough to at least be competitive, sadly the ones we spent the majority of our transfer budget on are either struggling big time or injured and the jury is still out. This whole saga with Marti is grinding us all down, something needs to be resolved quickly for the good of the club, I want Marti to stay but if he's going then it can't drag on over the Summer, like most I'm not happy with Nourry, I think he's far too inexperienced to have the combined CEO/DOF role and his communication skills are poor to say the least. Edit - It's unfair to say his communication skills are poor we've all read the Nourry speak which I personally find tedious, it's the blocking of communications to the media and it appears he only relents when under pressure, I'm still baffled why Clive never got his interview with Marti, that's a man running scared. Well you really are starting from scratch, it's going to be plenty of graft, a good idea to get you started is to hire a rotavator, or even buy a small one £99 from Amazon, £69 from Screwfix, you don't need a big one and the bigger one is really hard to handle. Failing that it's a spade to create some beds, get rid of the grass, build a compost and that can be the home for the grass. You can use some sticks, attach some string to create some straight lines which can create the shape of the bed you are trying to create, lots more once you get started. |

Interesting you obviously know far more than most but is it really untenable, how about Amit and Ruben get involved they sack off the Performance guy on his holidays in Dubai and get in a set piece coach. Nourry has to suck it up and get on with it because there's plenty more people out there more than capable of doing the job as CEO/DOF ie somebody with actual experience would be a good start. |

Martis pre match interview on the official, very diplomatic, he has a certain class act about him. |
 | Forum Reply | Marti, stick or twist? at 11:50 25 Apr 2025
Were about to hit 20 pages on a topic where the initial post was presumably to find out how people felt about Marti as a Manager, well I think the results are in and virtually everybody wants him to stay. Then we had Ian Mculloughs article in the Sun which prompted everybody to think there's substance to the fact Marti is unhappy, well that was no surprise after listening to his responses in the press conference. The article which presumably you receive remuneration for was always going to be punchy otherwise what's the point of publishing in a National newspaper. Does Ian have any genuine insight other than what was said in the press conference or is he just reporting the details verbatim. The club is not going to sack Marti because it costs money and Nourry would need the owners approval, will Marti walk away without another job highly unlikely. So it's all about another club coming in for him and paying the compensation in his contract, this could run for a few weeks until a decent offer is on the table. The one thing that may stop this happening is if Amit and Ruben get Marti and Nourry in a room together and see if they can sort out the differences, I'm hoping and praying that is a possibility, I get the argument Marti never stays anywhere for very long but that cycle can be broken. Let's not be naive , pound to a penny Nourry looks at this message board, he's 27 so I'm guessing uses social media extensively. |

Seconded I desperately want Marti to stay and the owners need to get Marti and Nourry in a room and sort this out. |

Must admit I've been pi**ed off seeing this thread title from day one as if we are in a position to say he's not good enough for us, sorry I find that laughable. I've given all my reasonings in a previous post as to why I think Marti has done a good job through adversity, none of us know the full limitations of his relationship with Nourry but it appears to have finally surfaced that it's not good. There is a huge danger that he will be poached by another Championship club I've mentioned Leicester already and there will be competition. As you say it's probably a salvageable situation if they can get together and Nourry accepts he is inexperienced particularly as a Director Of Football, listens and accept Martis opinion. What really needs to happen is Amit and Ruben get involved call a board meeting and try and thrash out a way forward because this all appears to be happening with the owners not involved. There's hardly a dissenting voice on this thread, everybody wants Marti to stay it just needs people to communicate better, be a bit flexible in their attitude and opinion, if it's not done then Marti will accept the first offer on the table. Well your comment slow as treacle made me smile, he was at left back I think it was against Portsmouth and he was at fault for both the goals where a reasonable amount of pace would have given him a chance but his legs have gone. If I'm not mistaken he was released by Stoke, make of that what you will, he's been a model professional but that's not enough, we have to make some strong decisions going forward. Where possible keep the best experienced players if it's deemed by Marti and the coaching team that they are worthy of another year and Nourry can do the sums and do the tricky negotiations with the agent to not pay silly money for a years contract extension. Fox for me falls into the twist category because next season he would at best be a squad/bench player and we should look to get somebody younger and quicker to do that job. [Post edited 22 Apr 11:04]
