 | Forum Reply | Top 3 Saints players who fans wrote off but ended up being half-decent elsewhere at 09:47 2 Jul 2025
1. Dusan Tadic - show pony, rarely delivers 2. Sadio Mane - always offside, falls over all the time 3. Oriol Romeu - little quality, too weak All 3 regularly slagged off early in their Saints careers by some of our mongy fans , including a few regulars on here. Tadic especially got caned by loads during most of his time with us, then shortly after he left the same divs were saying he's exactly the type of player we needed. |

What is pathetic is this level of bed wetting. ..and wtf has "played for us" and "lives locally" got to do with whether our new manager and SD want to sign a player? |

There's ridiculous opinions, then there's this. This is up there with the biggest load of bollox I've ever read on here. |

True to a degree, but our away numbers have been massively bolstered in recent years, so I think for anything south of Birmingham you'll need at least a season ticket, especially now quite a few clubs only give you a 2000 allocation. |

I’ve been to loads of games as a neutral both in this country and abroad so see nothing wrong with that at all. I do however have a problem with clubs taking advantage by selling tickets at massively inflated prices to tourist fans who want to support the opposition, which is happening more and more at most Premier League grounds. I also have a problem with away fans buying tickets in home parts of a ground and not knowing/understanding the etiquette. Even worse and I’ve seen it twice this season at Liverpool and Spurs is having fans of those clubs in our end when we’re away. If you keep quiet and don’t show who you are then no-one’s the wiser. Be a dick, wear your teams colours or cheer when they score, you’re fair game to get a smack imo. |

 | Forum Reply | 5 Things About Everton at 08:50 20 May 2025
1. Going via London is a much more pleasurable route than Cross Country via Brum. The Avanti West Coast trains are far superior to the usual crap we travel on. 2. Liverpool is so lively and there was some serious fanny out and about in the city on the Saturday day/night. 3. Got off bus to ground at Everton Valley and underestimated the chaos and how long it'd take to get through the crowds to the away end. Felt a bit weird gate crashing someone else's big day. 4. Plenty of Everton fans in our end, but they kept a low profile, didn't celebrate their goals and only made themselves known when most Saints had gone. Didn't have a problem with that at all. 5. I stayed for the majority of the after-match stuff but felt a bit guilty that there were so many empty seats that Everton fans could have had. Just the way it had to be I suppose. 6. Kopites are gobshites |
 | Forum Reply | Why do the club lie to us fans. at 08:27 19 May 2025
This really isn't that deep and clubs have been doing this for as long as I can remember. Of all the things to moan about, this really shouldn't be one. |

It did make me chuckle. I wonder if they're still planning on doing their "lap of appreciation". No doubt they'll still be plenty of gimps wanting to clap their brave heroes. |

I’m pretty sure we never gave the Skates just the 2000 they were entitled to in the 2-2 game though. I don’t have a problem with reciprocal arrangements, but anyone that gives us just 2000 should get the same back. This is the kind of thing that really hacks me off. |
 | Forum Reply | Season Ticket renewal details at 16:49 12 May 2025
Yeah, I know but last season we gave 3000 to all away clubs that wanted it until around January time when we seemed to reduce the every allocation to 2000. It seemed to me like the club didn't know what the rules were to start with. As the new layout of St Mary's caters for the 3000 you have to give in the Premier League, I wasn't sure what our intentions would be for next season as the new barriers segregating the away section look pretty permanent. If we start giving visiting teams 3000 again, that'd be ridiculous. |

We'll be giving the Chapel a go next season too I think Do you know if the segregation is being kept the same as this season and therefore giving 3000 to away fans? I can't tell if we've reclaimed a block back in the Kingsland or not... |

The football message board concept is a thing of the past and I'd be amazed if there was more than a handful of regular contributors on here under the age of 30, probably even 40. There's not a chance in hell my lad would post on a platform like this. I have to say, I do really miss the good old days of TUI. Unfortunately a lot of the humour and piss taking of the past has been replaced with boring currant affairs discussions, which I suppose backs up what old codgers we are. It used to be both hilarious and brutal on here, but it was a lot more light hearted and would proper make me belly laugh sometimes. Unfortunately, some people couldn't take it for what it was and from what Nick said at the time, it got close to getting shut down for good. |

Pretty sure that would have been my first visit too, although I didn't go with Denis on that occasion, I stayed overnight at one of JC's relatives so got a lift up with his mum. It was near Xmas, really cold and incredibly foggy on the morning of the game....typically we lost 1-0. We must have had about 300-400 there in those seats behind the goal. I used to really hate Everton, but changed my opinion on them a few years ago when doing some pre-match boozing on County Road. It was shortly after Liverpool had just signed half our team and I got speaking to several of their fans that day and thought they were a proper decent lot; bonded over our mutual hatred of LFC I must have been at least 8 times to Goodison and have seen us draw once and lose the rest. It's a great ground, but one of those I never look forward to going to. [Post edited 9 May 8:58]
