Would love Luton to go. I think if they survived today, being that they would still have parachute payments they would likely do very well next season.

That's probably them just putting two and two together though with him just recently leaving Lyon.

Wouldn't be averse to him though, his overall record at Lyon on paper looks pretty impressive. 56 games, 57% win %age, 100 goals scored in those games.

Not going to happen though sadly. A few weeks back he accepted a position as Sporting Director and Head of Soccer at a second tier expansion franchise in Jacksonville. He's basically got a blank sheet of paper to create something there from the ground up.

I'd be very happy if Darnell came back. Very solid, experienced Championship defender (roughly 300 games for us and West Brom at this level) and still not yet 30. He would very easily slot into the captaincy when Cook eventually leaves.

£15m potentially rising to £20m with add ons. Fulham must have been laughing for someone who'd played ten times (four starts) for them and who they probably nabbed for f*ck all from Exeter's academy.

Sky Sports Wrexham definitely incoming next season.

It probably will for Birmingham having gone down from the Champ and come straight back up.

Them and Birmingham will be under different rules though next season. It's a bit easier under the Salary Cost Management Protocol in L1 and L2 to spend your way to promotion with wealthy owners.

Birmingham for example having come down from the Championship were allowed an extra 10% on their turnover spend on wages (70% when it's normally 60% of turnover). Transfer fee spending also isn't counted in the SCMP so you can do what they did with Stansfield spending £15m.

Next year they're going to be like the rest of us allowing only a rolling £39m loss over three seasons.

Preston in real danger I think. Play Bristol City away next week who will probably still need something to make the play offs. Can see Derby at home beating Stoke, Luton will get something at West Brom.

Liam Rosenior is currently seventh in French Ligue 1 with Strasbourg, with a great chance of European football next season, so I think that one is a complete non-starter.

Have a day off. We all want to see us win and get to as many points as we can, it's a poor performance in a dead rubber match. I'd be miles more pissed off if it was a game we still needed something from.

Cardiff manager sacked
at 00:40 20 Apr 2025

Absolutely disgraceful mismanagement by boil face. He needed to be carefully managed coming back from injury but he knew he was one of his few trump cards who was scoring goals and winning games for him.

Wilfully ignored the medical staff's advice and totally flogged him into the ground until his hamstring went again.
