A real refreshing change watching them compared to the absolute dirge that the seniors served up. Maybe the FA should have taken a chance on Carsley. |

Went to Norwich which was a week before my tenth birthday, along with my parents, brother and a friend. Remember the amount of QPR cars heading up the A11, scarves out the window. Stood on the open Carrow Road end halfway up the terrace and pretty much behind the goal. Last home game of the season for Norwich and they were presenting Martin Peters as their player of the season. Went behind quite early but when Dave Thomas equalised before half time we felt that we would go into win. Didn’t bank on their full back hitting a worldy or Phil Boyer being allowed to head in when miles offside. We pulled one back with a few minutes to go but it was too late. Can still remember some Norwich supporter shouting out the scoring from Anfield where Liverpool stuffed Stoke 5-2. Since then I have hated Norwich with a passion. Almost as much as North Battersea. We beat Arsenal on the Easter Monday, I was right at the front of the school end terrace and Gerry Francis held his nerve to score a last minute penalty to win the game. And then onto Leeds, last game of the season. Again I was in the School End perched on the concrete base of the floodlight on the corner of the School End and the SAR. Always remember Phil Parkes being presented with the POTY award and the whole of the Loft being a sea of blue and white scarves and banners. The atmosphere was electric and at full time a mass pitch invasion and eventually the team coming up to the directors box to take their bow. What a team and what a season. Total football QPR style. Seven England internationals including the England captain, one Irish and two Scots and dear old David Webb who scored some very important goal during the campaign. That season was the season that we first started singing ‘The Greatest football team the World has ever seen’, and for that one memorable season, we were very much that. Phil, Dave (RIP), Ian, Johnny (RIP), Frank, Dave, Dave, Gerry, Don, Stanley (RIP), Don and Mick (RIP), thanks for the memories that have lasted my lifetime. |

Reece James is such an average footballer. Only in this team because of the Ex North Battersea manager. Bored shitlèss by this lot |

Given that Nourry convinced the owners that he was the best man as CEO and director of football then it’s only logical that………. |

Looking at the list I would say that keeping Colback is a must. I’ve always liked him as a player, good passer, good shot, gets in the face of the opposition, very much like Shaun Derry who let’s face it didn’t let himself down at all in the Prem with us when well into his 30’s. Only thing that Colback needs to do is not to be a complete arsé at times. Andersen was a big surprise for me last season. Looked totally unfit for the majority and therefore I’d say goodbye. Fox. Don’t like, slow, poor decision maker (Portsmouth at home), teams target playing behind him every time. Get rid. And now to Dunne. My feeling is that if he was leaving, especially if it was to Sheff Utd then there surely would have been by now an announcement from his new club of an agreement to sign from 1/7. There hasn’t been at all. And given it has been announced that Paal is offski I very much suspect that Dunne wants to stay at the club and given the right deal will sign. Saying that watch an announcement happen by late today!!!😂 |

Doesn’t Uncs retire at the end of this season? If so would make a great addition to the QPR Community Trust. Very likeable guy and an honest pro. |

A Spurs win would create a huge dilemma for Levy. Ange is clearly out of his depth but do they get rid of a manager who has just led steam to their first trophy in 17 years? As for United, their support are just as an entitled bunch of filth as the scousers and losing will certainly hurt the club more financially as they are desperately trying to balance the books whilst trying to play catch up with 70% of the rest of the premier league. So a Spuds win for me as I see it the most harmful to both clubs. |

The two players I would happily boo in recent times after leaving Rangers was Jack Robinson who we looked after for a whole season whilst he was crocked and then fûcked off to SheffU and Grant Hall who also spent a lot of the time on the physios bench but then during the end of the covid season refused to play as he had lined up a move to Boro. |

Each got three years which were suspended for five years, so not only were they able to return from Belgium they didn’t either spend a day in the clink. |

Poor facilities are no excuse for a crowd of drunken scum to cause that amount of mayhem that resulted in 40 odd deaths. In fact there is never any excuse to behave like that. Was anyone ever charged and prosecuted for those deaths, other than from the authorities? |

And these are the supporters who expect away supporters to be quiet when they sing that dirge YNWA, continually boo the national anthem, showed total disrespect during a minutes silence for the late Queen but then again expect total silence for the Hillsborough dead. It’s the 40th anniversary of Heysel this month. Will any of them remember and mourn the 40 odd Juve supporters that got crushed by that drunken scouse mob that night? Total scum support. Love to see TAA come back and score the winning goal for Madrid against them. |
 | Forum Reply | Season ticket sales. at 13:35 8 May 2025
When it was announced last year that season ticket sales were at record levels I started to check numbers on the seat map. All available seats such as restricted views were still available to begin with and as time went by over the summer these reduced and reduced until a couple of days before the start of the season it gave the impression that all but a few tickets in the upper SAR were still available, the paddocks had sold out. A few hundred remained in the upper Loft with the Lower Loft sold out and only a few tickets remained in the ER stand. And when I say a few I mean a handful. The lower SE had its release of tickets late but certainly a couple of sections were pretty much sold out giving the impression that sales had been easily hit exceeded 15,000. Yet in reality when you saw the empty spaces at some games and the attendances this was much much greater than the reality. So I’d take it all with a pinch of salt. |

He single handedly lost us the home game against Portsmouth a result which I feel had a massive negative impact on the team at that point. Never warmed to him. Not oven close to being bang average. Get rid. |

Stan. Absolutely devastated. Think he played his last game against Wrexham in a 2-2 draw in. Early December 1979. Kept him and with the likes of TC, Allen, Goddard, Roeder, Hazell, Gillard, McCreery and Woods we would have got promoted right back. |

Five of us went up there including my Mum who only ever went to special matches. Lovely spring day, loads of QPR cars with scarves hanging out the windows on the A11. Six days before my tenth birthday. Was absolutely gutted afterwards. Very quiet drive back. Must have been 15,000 Rangers supporters in Carrow Road that day. I’m not one to hold a grudge but from that day onwards I have hated Norwich and everything to do with them and the colour yellow since. Even that shît song by that shît group Coldplay. That was our one and only chance to be champions and I also believe that we would have had more chance winning the European Cup that than the UEFA Cup the following season. |

Been there a few times including the ‘Trevor Kettle’ draw which gratefully brings out Clive’s report on that game each time and is worth another read! Best thing about Preston is the pub on the station platform. Other than that…….. |

Ask the PL. and to value the women’s team at £192million is incredible. They own no infrastructure whatsoever, unless they bought the old Kingstonian ground from AFC Wimbledon, but that isn’t worth that kind of wedge. Added to this was the sale of two hotels on the Bridge site. All sold to another company within the North Battersea Holdings Group. I just hope that the financial fiddling under the war criminal doesn’t go unpunished and a sumptuous points deduction for the start of next season totally screws them over for another year. Their support are very unhappy with Mascaras style of play, sounds very much like the Leicester support last season, and it seems there is plenty of player discontentment with the lack of playing time. Qualification for the CL is starting to look iffy and it’s lovely to see their £88million Ukrainian unable to play with a drugs charge hanging over his head. Finally Tom Bola has talked about relocating the club as he has sussed that he cannot redevelop the ground to compete with other 60,000 grounds. He obviously hasn’t met with the C****** Pitch Owners yet! All starting to bubble up nicely for Tom Bola and his mates. |
