I use the BBC website a lot for news and sport and appreciate it. I haven't noticed it, but if its spelling has drifted in quality, I believe it's no different from any other outlets, possibly yes, using predictive text or other AI tools. I also read The Times and Private Eye, so I believe I get some balance and depth in reporting and often feel that the Beeb is bending over backwards to be impartial. I find it a pity that other media, are waging such a political campaign on the institution. It's always amusing to look at the front pages of other newspapers to see that some (Mail, Express, Mirror for a start), are not much better than comics and definitely not impartial. |

Saw Sirat last night. An engaging film set in Morocco desert with a man (and his son) looking for his daughter, who may have joined a desert rave. Described as walking a tightrope between heaven and Hell. |

Now JCS is putting in an appearance, alongside Jimmy, how about handsome Ron in the midfield and Mbengue at right back? Still trying to decide whether to make the long journey at a daft time ...? Edit: decided to go! [Post edited 8 Mar 12:36]

In The Times, apart from the excellent obit, the TMS section noted that Sedaka used the same studio in Stockport as Joy Division, meaning that the same room saw recordings of 'Love will keep us together' and 'Love will tear us apart'. RIP Neil |

6 of us enjoyed a very nice pre-game lunch at a local restaurant - being advised it was one grandson's birthday, they laid on a small ice-cream cake for him and sang Happy Birthday. I agree with OP re some positive individual performances. |

QPR got a mention in the closing ceremony by way of Damiano Tomassi, who played for us 7 or 8 times? [Post edited 22 Feb 19:50]

I'll be there, only 7 miles or so for me. Must remember not to secrete any food about my person; on my last visit, they took a packet of crisps away from my 9yr old grandson. I'm looking forward to the game more than I was pre- Hull! |

Going back in time, in our fabulous game v FC Koln, someone shouted to Dave Clement, "try not to mention the war Dave!" A German friend jcame with me to that game, and even she laughed, as she had done at the Fawlty Towers episode, not long before that. |

At times I wasn't sure whether he was biting his nails, picking his teeth or adjusting the position of his chewing gum? One thing's for sure, I don't want to spend minutes looking at him when there's a game going on. |

I made a late decision not to go, (traffic disruptions, weather, mood after last week...) and decided to watch from Belgium. Fab report that helps me get something near the collective joy and Silver Lining experience that I missed out on. Many thanks Clive (like I said to you in the C&S pre Wrexham game) |

Friend of mine visiting me in Kenya described driving through a village he said was called 'Pole Pole' according to a road sign. |
