I bet against QPR all the time 🤣 Not sure if it’s some sort of cultural taboo that I shouldn’t be doing, but a little bit of emotional insurance goes a long way! I’ve got a tenner at 150/1 on us getting relegated at the moment. Earlier on in the season when Mbengue was a walking card you could get between 3 and 5 to 1 on him getting booked anytime - it paid for my match days! |

according to who scored ( https://www.whoscored.com/play he's played 28 times in total this season - 22 starts, 6 sub appearances. I wonder whether 30 appearances is the trigger for a new contract? |

91 of the 92 clubs in the football league are a Left Back, a ball playing Midfielder and a 20 goal a season striker away from 'Winning the Transfer Window' |

I went to EVERY Forest away game for 15 b*stard years because sooner or later we'd win one, and the *one* game I couldn't make during that 15 year spell Steve b*stard McLaren and Toni b*stard Leistner contrive to win 1-0 i'm sanguine about it, as you can tell... |

[emailed to Bondholders] Dear Bondholder, It gives me great pleasure to be writing at a time of significant excitement for everyone associated with our Academy as we plan the steps towards the next stage of our strategy. TSG Phase 2 → Category 1 Application For many seasons we have relied on training facilities that are split across multiple venues, with space and availability often restricted. Delivery of the phase 2 infrastructure developments at TSG Elite Training & Performance Centre will bring all our programmes onto the same site for the first time in our Club’s history. Our development plans include installing a flood-lit full-size artificial pitch, constructing an indoor artificial pitch, and creating a purpose-built spectator hub, all designed to complement our integrated training centre and Desso GrassMaster pitches. Together, these facilities will position the Academy to meet the infrastructure criteria for Category 1 status, with an application due for submission this year. To facilitate the funding of these development plans, the Club recently offered all Bondholders the option to roll over their 2021 bond investment. We are pleased that a significant number of bondholders rolled over approximately £4.2m, for which we are extremely grateful for. Securing Category 1 status will enable our players to participate in the top tier of national competitions - such as Premier League 2, Papa John’s Trophy, and the U15 Premier League Floodlit Cup - while significantly enhancing our ability to recruit and retain elite players and staff. These facilities will primarily be used by the Pre-Academy (U7-U8) and Schoolboys (U9-16) from the Boys' Academy, as well as our U10-U16 Girls' age groups. Having full control over these facilities i.e. not being dependent on third party owned facilities, will significantly enhance the delivery of our technical and on-pitch performance programmes across our pathways. Our players will be exposed to realistic training spaces to best prepare them for the demands of the senior game. We will be able to host training and games consistently without any unnecessary postponements, and we will maximise development time on the pitch by removing the time taken to travel to other sites. Loan Rangers During previous updates I have spoken about the importance of our loans programme to provide our senior Academy players with vital experience to support their potential transition to our First Team. This season we have continued to take positive strides forward with the number and quality of the loans being facilitated. Notably Emmerson Sutton has become our youngest player in over a decade to secure a loan to the EFL following his temporary move to Harrogate Town. We are delighted that he has become a regular starter and that his first goal for Harrogate Town against Cambridge United contributed to their first league victory in 21 games. Elsewhere Timmy Akindileni is gaining significant exposure at 18 years of age in the highly competitive National League with Morecambe FC. These experiences will undoubtedly support our players’ aspirations to return in contention for our First Team pre-season squad. Thank You On behalf of everyone at the Academy, I would like to thank you again for your continued support of our Club. We appreciate that these exciting developments wouldn’t be possible without your commitment and we remain extremely grateful. Best wishes, Alex Carroll |

It was a similar ball ache to getting there in the first place in terms of huge queues, but actually moved quite quickly if you stuck it out. We made the executive decision that ‘it’s a friday night, ive nowhere else to be…’ and doubled down on the trains. They closed the gates to the train station after the station filled up, for the 10:20ish train, but got on the 10:40 relatively comfortably. Suspect that anyone who wanted a train would have been able to get on the subsequent one at around 11:00ish |

there shouldn't need to be a workaround, but can Palace not just donate a suspiciously similar fee to the gate receipts to the Macclesfield equivalent of the Tiger Cubs? |

i think it was Holloway Ranger - the raving lunatic with the lesbians - who was absolutely positively convinced that Swansea would end up on 92 points and was all over the message board like Paul Revere ' SWANSEA ARE COMING!' |

Hawks are back in the SuperBowl Baby! the excitement will come, i'm sure of it, but right now (and running off of about 3 hours sleep...) the overwhelming feeling is relief. we had that game completely sewn up, and then the Woolen taunt penalty right into the Nacua touchdown was a real momentum changer, i thought we were done for. three games vs the Rams this season, absolute sloberknockers all of them. barely a fag paper between us across them all... |

Interest rate is exactly the same? there's a 3 year extension with 5% cash 3% club cash or a 5 year extension with 6% cash and 2% club cash - it's actually a better interest rate this time round on the 5 years? |

Almost, *almost* as good as the result itself are the salty tears of the 49ers fans 🤣 They genuinely thought they stood a chance, and it was all over in the first 15 seconds… |

not only is the report entirely devoid of data, it's also completely, totally, 100% written by AI. We ran it through an AI checker and it came out 100% AI, 0% human written |

He's been decent when on the pitch - nothing solid, nothing spectacular, a constant 6/10, which is absolutely fine by me. reminds me a lot of Lee Wallace when he trundles up and down the flank like a steam train. quite frankly we all though that going into the season with Larkeche and Esqua as our two left backs was a ridiculous idea at the time, so i'm grateful to have him here. BUT, and this is an enormous but, painted sky high, he's only 26 and we're having to carefully manage his minutes. Not in a Poku hamstring kind of way, but in a the guy cannot do three games in a week and struggles with back to back games kind of way. He's not some journeyman end of career footballer even if he may look like one. Whether you think that Paal had checked out, was treated poorly, didn't want to be here etc., he gave you 50 games a season, year in year out. I want (Need?) my Defenders to be able to do that for us. I want my LB to be 'Set and Forget' for the season, not worrying who from midfield we're going to have to crowbar in on any given Saturday. i'd have Norrington in the squad if he was cheap (he won't be, he'll be on a whack from Shef U...), but i have to think that there's better out there for us - and definitely if you're talking about anywhere near £2m(!)

I can't speak for the Corner Club, but i was in the W12 club for the West Brom game the other week, and the dress code was smart casual, which basically meant no football kits / shirts, and smart jeans / tops / trainers were ok, but not sportswear if that's enough of a steer for you... |

There's a real sliding doors moment with Shaun Wright-Philips - when we signed him he started off like an absolute train and looked very much like the SWP of Chelsea, as opposed to the shadow that played at Man City. I think it was his third or fourth game he had a goal wrongly disallowed against i think West Brom, and from there the lack of a goal sort of became this weird millstone around his neck for the next 50 odd games until he scored and didn't celebrate against Chelsea... |
