I can't speak for the Corner Club, but i was in the W12 club for the West Brom game the other week, and the dress code was smart casual, which basically meant no football kits / shirts, and smart jeans / tops / trainers were ok, but not sportswear if that's enough of a steer for you... |

There's a real sliding doors moment with Shaun Wright-Philips - when we signed him he started off like an absolute train and looked very much like the SWP of Chelsea, as opposed to the shadow that played at Man City.
I think it was his third or fourth game he had a goal wrongly disallowed against i think West Brom, and from there the lack of a goal sort of became this weird millstone around his neck for the next 50 odd games until he scored and didn't celebrate against Chelsea... |

Yeah, they fed JT consistently, and in the end Rivers just stewarded the offence instead of leading it, which is probably what they wanted from him in this situation - don't turn over the ball, don't do anything stupid, and they executed that really well. |

I had the same bet with Betfair, who didn't pay out for me either.
spoke to their customer service who said that the bet is only valid for players on the pitch at the time - subs, managers and after FT whistle (as examples) are exempt.
told them that this was stupid, Bet365, PaddyPower and SkyBet all paid out (a lot of us had this bet  ) but they said tough luck.
I've immediately closed my account with them. i doubt they'll reach out to me again. |

I was there on behalf of Clive last week - We / Clive likes to have a written transcript available for reading as opposed to just the audio, and with the meeting late on Thursday and then with the game on Saturday and associated preview/reports / etc. around that it's taken a while to get the transcript properly transcribed / proof read /etc.

The video is lovely, and any excuse to see it it obviously worthwhile, but the original Arsenal tweet is a clickbait tweet designed to farm outrage and engagement - if you scroll back not 5 or so tweets the account was a rabid Nott's Forest account.
That's the problem for the terminally online world these days, everything is performative, everything is about engagement and everything is content. |

Yeah, i live in Carshalton.
I don't venture into Sutton very often, so i can't help you much there, but Carshalton Village / Ponds has quite a few pubs with Sky.
The GreyHound and The Sun are great Sunday lunch type gastro pubs, and The Hope wins CAMRA real ale pub of the year awards on the regular so they're all worth a visit... |

like absolutely every club in the country at the moment, we have a song based on 'Sway' by Much Mambo / Dean Martin / other various people before that, and Saito is our recipient of it.
i was at Tooting and Mitcham on Saturday in the international break and we had a version of that going there amongst the 50 odd fans

for the avoidance of doubt, if you do Auschwitz (and you really, really should...) do not plan anything big or happy or 'fun' for afterwards.
unless you're a complete sociopath, the Auschwitz experience will leave you so emotionally drained that there's zero prospect of going clubbing or a slap up meal afterwards... |

Well done Jamie for an excellent match report. You probably had to sit through the highlights of the match to write that at least once, and you have my sympathies.
For the eagle eyed amongst us, Jamie’s two match reports are 3-0 loss away to Swansea on Boxing Day and now a 7-1 loss at Coventry here. I’m ITK here  and he’s next up for Wrexham away next month if you all want to ensure you’re somewhere else for that inevitable shellacking… |
