QPR thrashed, Boro run riot, night follows day, bear seen heading for wood
at 16:02 10 Mar 2026

I liked Marti and I don’t dislike Stephan. Part of me would like one of them, post QPR employment to call it as it is, because I’m so totally dejected about it all that I’m having to feign disinterest…

Thoroughly ticked off, MartGolblin posted in a longer post pretty everything that I feel

Didn’t know that about Nardi. He’s another one who has been totally bombed out unfairly. Sure, he’s not Manuel Neuer but the way the club have treated him is very poor.

And as you say it is speculation but based on the X profile updates - a picture (or an updated profile photo) speaks a thousand words.

Why are they keeping us so in the dark. Do they just think we’re all stupid

Arrogance of the highest level if so.

I’d also sign Cook for another year now, but that’s clearly not going to happen.

And I too think he’s been benched because otherwise he’d trigger a new contract.

Been a really good servant for QPR and has been really underrated but let’s all sing a song about Jon Varane.

I’ve got to the point where I don’t want to go and watch us at the moment so I swerved yesterday as the KO time was shit but also feared we’d lose comfortably

Don’t regret the decision to stay at home.

Let Nourry cook….

No thanks, whatever he’s serving up it’s just another version of the same old slop we’ve had for years…

Another nothing season.

We’ll somehow get 3/4 points more to steer us clear of trouble but what’s going to be different next year, Christian?

I hope St Etienne aren’t scouting Varane today.

He’s been very poor. Even his backward passes have been wayward.

But to be fair to Varane the whole team have been shocking.

Very very comfortable for Boro. We’re not laying a glove on them.

Feeling a bit under par so watching from home instead of F block. Gary Weaver - is he always this annoying?

Although it really does feel like our spiritual home, the last time we actually finished 16th was the 17/18 season which surprised me!

Alex Neil, manager of the season?

Getting Millwall to 3rd, and fighting for the automatics.
No one likes em but hard to disagree with how well they’re doing this season.

I doubt he’ll be a QPR player come September, really feels like the club trying to raise his profile and get him sold. We probably need to sell him, be interesting to see if both him and Field are moved on in the summer.

Me too, and it feels harsh to say it, but we change managers, co-owners, CEOs, DOFs, fitness regimes, data driven, not data driven... nothing is really working. For balance, the training ground is a good thing but even that moved at a glacial pace.

And remember that idea of a new ground... and now Oxford have one approved. There has been so much development around W12 in the past 20 years that its frankly typical bloody QPR that we've missed out on every opportunity.

We've had 12 years in the Champ now and bar a brief period of time with Warburton the idea of us being in the play-offs has turned into a myth like a cup run.

I'm fed up of us following what other clubs are doing and I think a fully focused owner might get us started on our own path.

We desperately need a new owner in charge who has the club as their sole focus otherwise, I fear we will tread water and just continue to fall backwards.

Great post, and although there are a ton of reasons as you've listed... I really think the key one is the owner and how much time and energy they can give the club.

Hard to grumble (at all) at someone who gives in a week what would take me the best part of a decade to earn to just keep the lights on, but we really need a fully engaged owner.

Who is the richest QPR fan then - come on fess up!

Yeah I’ve enjoyed watching them play. It looks like they’ve got a spare man at times. Personally hope they top the table. Nice to see them stop Tom Brady’s Bluenoses

Boro can certainly knock it about. Despite losing to Coventry the other week, I thought they played the better football and just got hit on the break.

Clutching at straws but maybe we could do similar… I doubt it, but you never know!

Brilliant, Clive. All the elements that focused on our ever-dwindling status, and the Groundhog Day feeling of our seasons really got to me. I’ve actively avoided football content this week as I’m sick to the teeth of seeing us simply tread water, which in reality means we falling behind.

Forget Brentford and Millwall, it’s the likes of Leyton Orient and AFC Wimbledon we’ve got to watch out for next…

This club needs sorting out from top to bottom, and although we have a wealthy benefactor, I fail to see how even the player trading model is going to work for us either. It would be very QPR to cock it up by crocking our best assets or allowing a 27 year old CEO to hire every possible football manager vacancy that the game has available.

We either need a miracle year (à la Warnock) or major investment.

Apologies, your great report has clearly triggered some brooding thoughts!!
