This is one of the most confusing things for me - Hoos when he got here basically hung his hat on "Ask me & I'll give you an answer - it might not be an answer you like or agree with but it's an answer", increased fan engagement all round, hot on the details/no problem too small to raise, etc How has he gone from that - to advocating for this? Before you even get into the past week so far this season at Nourry's Q&A there was talk of a supporters consultation committee &, separately, inviting 100 random season ticket holders to discuss any issues directly with Nourry - have those been happening? Look down the school end - second season in a row away fans have suddenly begun appearing in the lower tier again, last season was a ticketing fck up apparently, same again this time? |

Did anyone else notice midway through the second half Saturday Dunne handed over the captain's armband to Chair - bizarre as he'd been on the pitch for about 20 mins at this point & Jimmy wasn't then subbed |

Wasn't that more to do with it being during covid and it technically counted as breaching whatever the rules were at the time - don't think they were too fussed about him coming to see us more that he hadn't followed correct protocols at the time to do so |

Do ref's still watch teams previous few games prior to referreeing them? I believe guidance changed a couple of years ago so that was encouraged. Feels like that might have come into play here - last couple of games Saito been on end of some thrown elbows & roughing up tactics, ref sees something happen here and makes a judgement both on this & what's come before. |
 | Forum Reply | Dunne off? at 11:39 3 Feb 2025
Earlier in the window I found WLS tone on articles about Dunne a little off - "Rangers were able to keep him last summer by taking up an option to extend his contract by a year." Doesn't make it sound like there was much desire his side to renew then, at least on the terms we'd have valued him at after the latter half of last season. |
 | Forum Reply | Marti's remarks on the ref at 21:24 26 Jan 2025
Was really noticeable how little we engaged with the ref yesterday - all through our good run the senior players (Field, Frey, Dunne especially) have been noticeably more vocal and forceful when we felt a decision hadn't gone our way, not letting the other team take the piss, etc. For whatever reason yesterday was the first time in a good while that wasn't happening - and we suffered as a result. On the FK/GK moment - I think he mistakenly thought that Chair had taken our free kick rather than Paal - so when it bounced off the post and straight to Chair he then awarded a free kick as taker can't touch it twice, and carried on with that till someone pointed it out. Bizarre sequence all round really. |

"The outlet understands that Vignal has been seen at Loftus Road – during QPR’s goalless home draw against Sunderland – exchanging with members of the board." Clearly Vignal's not done his research if he thinks he'll meet any of our board members at a game |

Athletic now reporting that Grealish & Maguire out of squad - along with Maddison, Jones, Trafford & Quansah. Still one to be cut but looks like he's in! |

Finished the season with a 5 all draw today (were 4-1 & then 5-2 down) - excellent spirit to fight back with a couple of cracking strikes from range & a last minute equaliser. End it 5th in the league by the looks of things. At the women's last game at Loftus Road Nourry met the players & spoke about the women's team being a really important priority for him and the club to take forward going forward so might be there's already plans in place to improve - be interesting to see what happens there. |
 | Forum Reply | FA Cup Replays Scrapped at 22:23 18 Apr 2024
Give both cup competitions a Champions League place rather than to the 3rd/4th/5th place in Premier League - for either the winner or, if the winner qualifies through the league, the other finalist - and you'd see every club properly go for it. Every team entering the third round would know they're only a few favourable draws from reaching the final - Coventry have beat Oxford, Shef Wed, Maidstone & Wolves to get to the semi finals, under McClaren we'd have had games with Palace & Wolves if we'd managed to get past Watford. In the same way we talk about replays financially benefitting lower league clubs, the financial rewards of even just one season in the Champions League would have similar effects for any clubs below the top 5-6 in the Premier League. You want 95% of clubs to stop seeing the cups as an inconvenience you need to make it more rewarding (from the owners/clubs perspective rather than the fans) than dipping out to ensure your players are available for those money making friendlies. |
 | Forum Reply | Begovic at 17:21 16 Apr 2024
Andre Dozzell's social media accounts looked very different before & after he joined us - someone went through it stringently and scrubbed all references to him supporting Chelsea before he was announced. Might be that Andre or his agent just knew themselves that this was a smart thing to do PR wise themselves, but you'd also hope & expect that they were advised by the club to do so. It doesn't matter - but it does matter when things are going badly. Might be that's just the difference between a player seeing you as a step up rather than a step down - but given Begovic was happy to not only sign for us, but to accept the role of captain with presumably the additional benefits that brings, there's responsibilities too in how you represent this club & what you present. As above in isolation it doesn't matter but given the context of how he's performed, how the season has gone and the previous criticism of his Chelsea pod appearance putting it out there was always going to lead to a reaction, and from a QPR perspective there's no good one - some people are ambivalent, some people don't like it. Whether you personally care about it or not some people do - he isn't a thick bloke and for him to either not think about it or have thought about it and not care about the reaction doesn't sit well. |
