Kelly knows how to make runs and cross a ball. James is a world-class player despite the penalty miss. The whole team knows how to head a ball in attack, but not so sure about defending a cross. Carter is a good, solid CD, but she is not up to the pace of these world-class class super-fast forwards. This is where Englands weakness is. Sweden exploited her lack of pace again, first goal was due to the press being too fast for her and the second she was unable to get back into position. Not entirely her fault but she is just not fast enough compared to all these speedsters every team seems to have. We need someone in the back who can handle pacy forwards, otherwise we shall get undone again. Kelly needs to start and Agy brought on much earlier, if not a starter. |

Yeah, but one thing they did was not waste it all on Prem wages, when they went up, they invested it. However, since then, it has been wasted on players who were not good enough, so they can still invest and be clever, but time is running out. They are heading in our direction rather than out of it. We run our club like PNE, Millwall now, but if we had been run that way in the Prem, more likly we would Burnley yo-yoing rather than Norwich slipping down the table. |

Let's run the scenario: - Massive points deduction - Barred from transfer dealing - Fire sale of key players - Lots of injuries - Yo-yo all over the top 6 and then finish 7th Marti will claim he was robbed by the points and fire sale, fans will be on his side, and he will get another year. In that year, they will receive yet another set of parachute payments, and it's game on; he can now really press on. I suspect he will be fine there and will be in the Prem with them. At which point, he will move on to Valencia as he hunts the next big ambition. And you know what, if you can deliver, which he does, then fair enough. If he keeps going on this trend in 4 years, he will be the Real Madrid Manager. Which will be very QPR! I am not sure its that a big risk for him really, even if it does go pear, he can always claim it was clusterfeck before he arrived and everyone will nod heads. Win-win for Marti me thinks. Better than the WBA jobbie so, he's laughing all the way to the Leicester! |

He can do it all but ... that only works in the Champ if you run run run. He can tackle but only whens he's close enough to the play (which he often isn't as he does not keep running to keep up with it), he can do a defence splitting pass from the middle (which he infrequently does as he's often not in the right place at the right time as he did not run back or run forward enough so, he's oeftn 2 yards away from where he needs to be). Played into feet he rarely gives the ball away and also shields it from the oppo who seem unable to tackle him easily, but that's not often as of course he's not in the correct position quick enough because he did not run run run. A major flaw also is that he does not use his height which is criminal, we could really use another Dunnesk for corners as its too obvious to launch it Dunnaway all the time. Hes in trouble this season, Poku could push Demeble into the middle behind Frey, which meanshes on the subs bench again. Not to mention Dale and Morgan can also play there. |

Didn't Norwich have parachute payments for 3 years? Then they bought a lot of young players with that (rather than paying off excessive prem wages, which is the mistake we made going up and down); they have now sold these off. This is the last pay-off season for them; if they don't go up, then they will be heading in our direction, which will be very painful for them. Burnley were stupid paying for Sargent, I don't think he's very good (despite his stats). I think Burnley has made a mistake there. Parker will be sacked by November, me thinks. |

Yeah, but he would want a sign-on fee and will rake it in on large wages as they still have parachute payments. We should not do that, which is why we did not spunk £5m on him when Brizzle signed him. In addition, not that far away, and they have Isaiah Jones, who will supply him all the chances. Not to mention whoever else they sign. It will be similar to Brum's performance last season in L1. Makes it more challenging for Cardiff and Reading to return :) |

Which shows why Coback should not be renewed if we can get just as good but younger and possibly for less. Especially as Colback, while skilful and tactically aware, is too slow getting up and down the pitch now, and that's when he's fit, which is only for half a season. Remember the Champ is run run run. Everyone runs, Chair runs, Frey runs, Smyth runs, Dunne runs, everyone runs, no matter the skill. Which is why Madsen has so far failed as he does not run enough. |

If he goes to Munich, then Kane can get him in the England team and that's a big draw. Kane, after all, got Dier a new contract at Munich, which was nice of him. |
 | Forum Reply | Kolli at 14:23 14 Jul 2025
Kolli is a quality player, with skills and a youth product as well. If we get good money for him, then we should sell him as he's injured way too much. But remember, Armstrong, who is nowhere near as skilful, went to Bristol to be the next big thing. They gave him a great run in the team, making him their starting forward, and the crowd went wild at his direct running. He looked like the next Collymore or Ferdinand. However, they soon found out that the results weren't happening, and he was dropped. What about Dykes, a seasoned performer in the Champ, who drops a division and gets to play in the best team in that division? Yet he cannot make the team, as Alfie May, an L1 forward, is ahead of him. Dykes scored two goals in the league all season, one of which came for us against SU before his move! Now on social media they are saying he's not good enough for the Champ, and they need to move him on! I doubt anyone will buy Dykes in the Champ, maybe Millwall or Charlton, but that's a stretch. We should sell Kolli if we get good money, and the same for Nardi and Chair, who are now in their prime and will only decrease in value. |

Walsh is almost good enough to be a #1, also, young keepers who play in the first team tend to get sold for silly money. Nardi is way better but older, if you can get £2m for 31 a 31-year-old, then we should take it and try Walsh. We are a selling club and need to sell, best to sell someone we can replace. Worst case Walsh ain't up to it and we get in some golden olide back up keeper on the cheap until we replace with another Nardi again. |

That's why these people who pilot, drive or navigate us around need to be looked after and paid properly (that means high wages) as we want them to be smart, well-trained professionals who value the work they do. You have to worry that in the USA, some pilots are on food stamps and just getting by. Not to mention working long, hard hours where there is no minimum holiday entitlement in the USA. But that's all politics, right? And we don't want to read about all that again, let's put our heads in the sand, as it's all too noisy so we can go back to being docile sheep and pretend it's all okay .... until it isn't. |
 | Forum Reply | Cannon appeal - We won! at 23:05 8 Jul 2025
Always looked more of a DMC to me than a RB. Also, Marti was not impressed and dropped him when he failed to clear a Norwich goal. Glad he won, it was a disgrace that they denied his wages. We also backed him even though we did not get that mutch, which means players will want to come here as they know they will be defended. So, good PR those for us. [Post edited 8 Jul 23:06]

Club is using them as backups in case they don't get adequate replacements. Andersen got the heave-ho when they knew Poku was on the cards. It will be the same for these two. We know we need a LB, CF and DMC in that order. I think we short again with JCS still being out (if was not for Richards, the Matty Rose award would be going to him), I would renew Foxy on the lowest of the low anyway, as he can also play CB as well as LB, which gives us decent cover. Remember, there is no Edwards to bail us out this time. |
 | Forum Reply | Taylor Richards finally going? at 15:52 5 Jul 2025
No, we should play him, but only in friendlies and DS. Not only to shop him around, but also to show youngsters and others that there is always a way forward. This means, hopefully, they will stay. "Look, we support young players, look how we even supported Richards?". When young players like Poku come here, this is what they say, and we can see that our club can evidence it. As, stated before, play him in the DS, shop him and then if no one comes in by Feb, see if we can bargain him out. |

I read somewhere it was £200m they bank all in if they win, you know, sponsors and so on. And then with this, they can go out and spend even more money this season! |
 | Forum Reply | Stéphan Era vs Stevenage at 15:47 5 Jul 2025
I only saw the 2nd half 60 mins in, but from this I can deduce that with the skill of Sutton (who looks the real deal) and with Smyth this now means we have backup on the left for Chair. Adamson looks more like a midfielder than a RB. He got beat a bit too easily for me at RB, and a faster winger would have skinned him a lot. Stevenage couldn't handle him roaming around and moving into the middle though, which is interesting as it shows that Stevenage don't have the in-game tactical nous as a team when things change in front of them. Shows the difference between our level and theirs. As our pros would adapt in such a situation. Celar looked lost again and was unable to hold up the ball properly. Poku looked decent. Bennie looked DS again. Vale looked out of position for me and was trying too hard. Mbengue looked decent, not sure he's good enough in the air though. Morrison was commanding. Field looked like he was strolling it, and still dominated the middle for us. Salmon is not up to this level; he should be loaned out. Where is Tuck? This must be the year he goes up a level? |

This is all guessing but ... Stansfield cost em £15m last season, any addons on that would have been triggered with promo. And then Dykes was bought for £1m just before that from us. Alfie May must have cost £1m as well. Add in all the other transfers; let's say they spent £20m last season. Assuming no other losses from the previous season, £16m puts them at £36m in losses over the last two seasons. Lets say they spend another £10m this season but the new monies keep costs down so, still £35m losses (and that's being generous). So, this season they need to go for broke, otherwise they will be broken by FFP in the season after. And have to sell to get out of it, which could be a plan. They do have Stansfield they can always flog for £10m and take a £5m loss (but he got them into the Champ again). Unless .... they get relegated back to L1 again :P I am so glad we sold Dykes, it was the right decision with Armstrong being sold as well. People will be shocked as we need to sell Chair now for £10m at least, as he's getting on, he will be 28 in October, and now he's at his prime. Time to cash in. Sad to see Chair go, but it's time. |
 | Forum Reply | Taylor Richards finally going? at 01:04 4 Jul 2025
We have already sent the message. Get your head down, work hard, if you get injured, recover and then work hard again. You will be rewarded with a new contract, evidence of a point in case, Larkeche. I am just totally guessing here but ... Richards' return will be faked into the DS so QPR do not get sued. Then he may play well all he likes, but he will never make it into the first team. Then in Jan we shall try and give him away, failing that at the start of Feb we shall offer mutual consent buy out, trying to save what little we can, but he will probably reject that and then we shall move him out of the DS totally as even if he sued then it would be only for the remaining wages we are paying anyway so, it would end up costing him more in lawyer fees. And also, no club would touch him if he did that. The only way we could move him on in February is if his agent fools him into thinking he can get another long-term deal somewhere else with a small end-of-season stint at, say, Doncaster, for example. The agent receives a signing-on fee from Doncaster. Richards thinks he will secure a new contract, but he does not. However, his agent has fooled him and secured one last payday for him, and then it is Hong Kong that beckons! So, if he moves in Feb, it will be if the agent can get another payday. If not, then we know not even a dodgy agent can shift him. It could be fun watching the lesser-spotted Richards turn out for the DS, though. You know, like watching out for a rare bird that only appears once every four years or so. |

Vale can be seen letting Varanes' diagonal go over his head as Poku receives and knocks it past him, as if he's not there. More evidence that we need another LB :P Good to see the new Aussie kid training with the 1st team and playing at RB! |

Hoo's has been saying for years that some other clubs will get found out as they are not sustainable. Maybe Hull needs to sell Liam Millar on the cheap now, after all, when it comes to wingers we can never have enough, it seems ;p |
