 | Forum Reply | Marti to Leicester…maybe at 15:47 17 Jul 2025
'little overall progression'....that is amazing, not sure if you remember the last month or so under Ainsworth, but whatever you think of the style, of how he handled himself etc, to suggest anything other than he did a very good job for us in his period in charge seems bizarre to me. Also, we didn't get any compensation, we just got some of the money back, that we paid him to leave...big difference. Nourry financially screwed this up, however you cut it. The fact is, if you don't get on with your boss, and he's not going anywhere, either you need to move on or he'll move you on, so he's gone, and we all move on. |

My understanding is its only the top managers who get contracts paid out in full, all others, e.g. Marti, would be paid until they get another job. If that new job pays them less, the sacking club subsidise it to the same level they were at, until the cancelled contract would have expired. If the new club pay the same or more, the pay out ends when they begin new employment. I still think the gardening leave idea will have jeopardised more compensation than anything we did get. |

Not a fan of the halves, but if they'd used the same colours in hoops and it would have been good. As it is just needs a hat to match and it would be a jockey outfit |

Maybe....but given the room will be full of Season Ticket Holders and Members who plough £'000's into the club every year, I believe they have a right to a fairly detailed insight into the club strategy and business priorities in the short and long term. Its not a lot to ask, businesses around the world share this with their customers every year, and I believe we deserve to be treated in the same way. |

I agree with your points, but the key word you have to use is 'seems', as we all continue to speculate on the plan based on the actions we're seeing the club take. This forum is another positive step to opening the communication with fans, but I'd love to see them open it with a 20min presentation, sharing the vision, plan and priorities for the club, both short and long term. What is the 10 year goal, and will the current owners be here to deliver it or are they looking for new investment/buyers. What is the plan for key areas such as the ground, financial stability, young player development, player recruitment, ambitions for category 1 status, fan engagement, amongst any others, and what are the key priorities over the short term that will put the foundations in place to deliver them and make this a better club in the future. Some details they clearly won't be able to share, but they can definitely give everyone a clear idea of what they want to achieve and also what isn't a priority. If they really are serious about opening up and making all the positive steps they're suggesting, share it. They do this and they have my full respect, if they can't and this ends up being a Q&A on toilets and price of burgers, then don't waste our time. |

100% agree he deserves a chance in pre-season, but I can't understand the need to sign him up to a long term deal on the back of a positive season at Dundee, his situation is very different to Kelman. He seems like a good lad, a willing runner, but committing to him long term based on very little seems odd to me, I'll be happy but honestly shocked if 10 games in to the season he's proven to be the left back we need. |

About 9 months ago I commented that I'd love to know what the boy wonders strategy for the club is, it appears players who have been in the door 5mins know what the project is, so perhaps he'd be good enough to grace lifelong fans with the same detail at a fans forum. Some positive news in the last week , so maybe he's building up to the big reveal |

With our communication strategy it’s always going to cause suspicion [Post edited 25 Jun 23:31]

Looks like that article is from March? The club flogged the point that ‘he’s back full time’ in the announcement so will look very silly if he’s still doing this, but doubt he is? |

Got a nasty feeling King Julien will be a sweater over the shoulders type....we'll lose him if we get Fulham away in the cup |

Appears to be a very good appointment, 7 years as Wenger's assistant and other experience since all bodes well. Could be great for Dunne and Morrison in particular |
 | Forum Reply | Marti Officially Gone at 20:22 24 Jun 2025
So disappointing, Marti was great for us when we needed it most. I really hope the new guy does really well, but as CEO of the club, this is entirely on Nourry, he's had to pay off a sellable asset due to his ego, Reuben and the Board will have agreed it, but will have heard Nourry explain why his masterplan is the right one, as their CEO, they had to back him....lets see if it is [Post edited 24 Jun 20:23]

I'm not sure how some feel we'll still get any compensation for MC, he was a sellable asset until we put him on gardening leave without a confirmed club, he immediately flipped from financial asset to liability, or at best neutral if they agree to tear up the contract. Its a mess, and we have a data led player recruitment model that appears to include discussing a new contract with Fox, Anderson & Colback. A long way to go until the season starts, but Nourry needs to start pulling a few rabbits out of a few hats. [Post edited 17 Jun 14:18]

He's a narcissist, 100%, so many signs of it....and personal views of him aside, that is a major concern in any organisation. |

For what its worth, I don't think Beans is a Nourry PR mole (I think CharlieB was), but the way Beans writes tries to imply they're very smart, however the grammar they use suggests otherwise. I think its someone already on this forum creating a new profile to throw a grenade and enjoy some limelight, which if so is embarrassing and sad in equal measure. Also an interesting flow of posts along the 12 pages, to suggest both profiles could be involved in it. I might be totally wrong, just an opinion. |

Apparently the owners had already mapped out a 5-10 year performance and revenue plan when they bought them, all linked in with Disney and other major US sponsors, they can spend like drunken welsh sailors and will be covered, their only issue will be if the team aren’t successful and the documentary starts to lose interest. But they won’t have any financial issues. |

I was thinking the same, perfect for 3 of the 4, but not good enough for the 1 that goes up. |
