I guess CharlieB would be able to clarify the contract details. Charlie? Charlie? Are you there?

Thank you. I wouldn't like to be the person who has to check all those criteria when the team sheets are handed in.

Excuse my ignorance but how does player selection work with this competition? Is it purely age related irrespective of whether they have played senior football or not?

Has he done his coaching badges? May be a job for him.

Cifuentes on gardening leave

Well at least that would solve the stadium issue. There are some lovely wide open spaces near Kilkerrin that we could build on. Great water pressure around there as well.

Interesting that Calm is taking the team on Saturday. I wonder what that's about as I thought they would come and go together.

Our away end
at 22:58 25 Apr 2025

That was around 1980-81. I think it was because the Loftus Road end had no roof at the time so they temporarily moved the home fans to the other end so more noise would be created. I might have totally remembered that incorrectly though!

Possible next managers (n/t)
at 10:07 25 Apr 2025

Really? While we're moaning about spending £1m on a player who took his time to settle in. Puts it in perspective a bit. Plus those £32million of players are now being looked after by Jack Wilshere and Tony Roberts. Good luck with that.

Playing the Yoof (and reserves)

I always think back to our last game in the season we went down to L1 under Holloway. He played a bunch of kids at home to Stockport, we lost 3-0 and had a young player sent off. Not sure it benefitted anybody tbh and that was a meaningless game.

Edwards just makes it look Eze

We aren't the only ones who know about him. IF Southampton decide to sell, it won't be to a mid-table Championship side and it wouldn't be anywhere near our price range either.

Have we ever had a better loan than Ronnie Edwards?

Takes me back to Glenn Roeder when he glides out of defence with the ball. Absolute class.

Midweek away games
at 14:17 10 Apr 2025

Loved every minute from 1 to 101. Atmosphere a lot better than other recent nearby away games even before taking the lead.

Soured a bit by the 45 minute stationary wait in the car park before being able to move. Plus the complete absence of anywhere to get something to eat other than inside the ground or bloody Frankie and Benny's. Is it really that difficult to plan for people actually attending games when you build a stadium? Or to build four stands?

Most unpleasant book you’ve ever read?
at 23:50 1 Apr 2025

The only book I've read that affected me in a really negative way was the Ian Curtis biography written by his wife. A thoroughly and deeply depressing read but a brilliant insight on the other hand.

"By far the most challenging season of my career!”
at 15:59 18 Mar 2025

Blimey, reading through this it seems like Marti leaving is becoming a self-fulfilling prophesy. I doubt he goes unless poached (not very likely) or his situation with Nourry becomes more than he can cope with but like everyone else on here, that's just my opinion.

I have to say though I can't remember a single manager we've had before who has had the fans singing his name at every single game, win, lose or draw. In fact. the loudest was when we were right in the sht earlier this season.
