David Webb last minute goal v Stoke in '75.... in those days I stood on the loft and it was unbelievable... It was nigh on impossible where we stood to see the ball go in the net... we had to rely on the net moving and the other parts of the ground erupting ..... |

I will take that after the week we have been through... which again I think highlights that the club is bigger than one individual be it a manager or a CEO/DoF. When push comes to shove it is the players that really matter Thought there was a lot of fight and spirit today. And some good performances. Frey though limited must be a nightmare to play against, and Madsen looked the best technical player on a pitch, which included a Bellingham Though MOTM for me was Varane.... but a real close call with Ashby who I thought looked really good Well can our summer of discontent be not as bad as it looks. |

Honestly... Bellingham was off side.... but what a challenge from Edwards... wish he was ours... |

Well the king is dead..... long live the king(s) .... be it ever so temporary That was a pretty decent 1st half by yet another cobbled team. OK Sunderland seem to be well out of confidence, but we have not looked in any real danger there. Looking well organised and certainly not looking like a team that is feeling sorry for itself. The CBs and Edwards, just tiring keep praising him, but he is class. Ashby also having a good game and Madsen seems to be, whisper it quietly, box to box. Varane though the best of that half. Sunderland surely though will try and up the tempo this 2nd half. For me like to see some of the youngsters get a run to warm up their final with Brentford Well done Rs... there is still life in us |

Nothing more to be said..... Until reading that... beautifully put Ted Also lost count of the weekends this team have spoilt for me, and the best summary for me was my brothers wife who once said to him "If it upsets you this much why don't you just support another team".... ........ the look he gave her said everything |

I was at the Watford game and that not only was the last game of the season, it was also the Fraulin episode where we thought we might have not gone up Burnley are at home this weekend... celebrate at your own home, not ours.. Completely different if they had won the title and didn't have another game .... but they haven't and they do. |

It's a game to far for me I'm afraid. The family are going up as we have relatives in Hartlepool, who are Mackams, and are going to the game together.. For me and my brother it was the end for us yesterday I'm afraid Not so much the match but the end, allowing Burnley to celebrate like that in front of our supporters was the final straw for me this season. Lucky this wasn't a game from the 70/80s as that could got very nasty very quickly. I'm over 70 but was fuming seeing that happen. Hope all that are going have a good game, you guys deserve something special |

We don't even own our own home... standing in the centre circle while they celebrate... shambles of a club.... |

You follow your team, sometimes to far flung corners and you know there are going to be days where you question your sanity..... I thought that Watford 1st half could not be eclipsed... well I was wrong.... we have managed it If this was supposed to be " let's do this for Marti and the fans" then I have a succinct feeling they are telling us that Marti is gone OK Burnley are a much better side than us... they have better players, more money etc etc .... but that was just unacceptable Not one QPR player laid a glove on them. The only player that looked @rsed was Edwards, and he is on bloody loan. I'm just so p!ssed here... and honestly have no idea what we are going to do this 2nd half. Hopefully Burnley will declare at half time... give as many subs as they can a run out and coast to 3 points... as for us, in the immortal words of Rhett Butler " Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" anymore |

So sad to sit here and see us taken apart by a far superior team... And having to hear these tvvats in the school end take the p!ss |

That smacks of 3-4-3.... Ashby and Paal in a 4 with Varane and Colback.... ohhhhh matron |

Is there a game going on today? Just surfaced here in deprived Thanet ready to get on the road to enjoy this sporting spectacular.... Will any of us actually be watching it in a sporting context? Might be a case of "did something just happen then. I was too busy trying to work out what that sub conscious tick that Nourry has means.... oh Burnly got their 4th..... what does that hand signal from Marti mean......." Oh hanker back to the salad days of running on the pitch at the last game, making a bee line to your favourite player and trying to rip his shirt off his back to keep and adore in the privacy of your bedroom.... So back to the game... who really cares... Will we even score, unlikely. Will Burnley try.... do they need to, this has the making of 0-0 written in stone.... knowing us it will be a 5-0 gobbling of them... 4 from Nardi and OG..... Where are my meds...... |

Well ... that was pretty grim..... we just have no answer to Swansea physicality....they are on us like rash. Stark to see our press consists of, well Kolli basically, and that is it. Whereas Swansea are all over us... Unfortunately this was not the game for Kolli the lad is not a Frey battering ram, and he just looks lost out there Strange to say I thought Ashby was our best player that half... he has his hands full over there, and apart from the booking as handle it well Really strange OG for Fox... buried it perfectly past Nardi Has to start Frey in the second half surely. We have to up the tempo as well, we are shockingly apathetic.... |

Just sat down here... Frey not starting that has surprised me...... There again would there be anyone to cross to him? .....party atmosphere here .... and I think that will stretch to the players.... Can see us coming out with water wings on, snorkel at the ready and the factor 50..... Oh go on 2-1 to the hoops why not... oh have to go my cocktail has just arrived ..... in a coconut no less |

Just back at the hotel in Blackpool and what an afternoon that was. Said yesterday I was pretty much not bothered about today... by that has changed!!! I thought we were really good today. Even in that first half we looked the better team. Yang had 3 good chances, and though he never put one away, he led that line really well. The defence also look really good, and been reading the thread who thought that Lindsay was left, I just felt it was a really good cross.... A real downer on Saito though... but the highlight of that half was Madesn, some of his passing and tou che's were poetry. Second half were move up a gear from decent to good. We fought for everything, and mostly won it... varane and Colback were immense, and in all honesty we could not follow what formation we were playing... Edwards I would donate my right knacker to keep that lad, he is absolute class Great to see Fray score, though I felt the keeper should have done better. But then the orgasm moment. What I really liked about today was, we could have sheathed swords and walked away 1-1, but we kept at them. When Andersen picked that ball up, my nephew was shouting, "don't shoot from there, lay it...... YYYYYEESSSSSS ....in my bloody ear as well The whole place exploded ... and what a great celebration by the team and Andersen with us the fans.... God I slate us sometimes out of frustration, but tonight I'm just in the oldest football cliche "over the moon" What a day.... what a performance... what a goal.... |
