First visit was in 1995, a 2-0 defeat. Didn’t see us get anything there, then 2 seasons ago with the thought it might be the last chance I had to go there and make sure my boys got to visit it, I was there (thanks to Salisbury Saint getting me an extra ticket) to see our 2-1 win. Not a happy hunting ground but I love how close to the pitch older stadiums are. Shame to lose it but like the dell, it’s probably time for them to move. |

My son is renewing, I’m undecided. Number of reasons. 12:30 kick off times Increased number of midweek home game The trains/bus replacement I’m primarily waiting to see who this daft lot identify as our next manager. Another spreadsheet metric appointment and I’m probably going to not bother. |

Agreed. But there seems to be no cohesive plan with this mob. And I’d suggest on the evidence seen so far, somewhat out of their depth at this level. But they have invested, it’s a shame it’s turned out how it has as I think there’s been damage done between the club and the fans after an even bigger cluster f*ck than our last relegation. What is most disappointing is the lack of any sort of comms from the people like Solak. I hope they finally start to get it right with us. I’m not hopeful though. [Post edited 6 May 23:19]

 | Forum Reply | Would you have Ralph back? at 23:07 6 May 2025
The trouble is Nick, managers (and teams) are often remembered for their legacies. Lawrie won us the cup and saw us finish runners up in the top flight. When I think of him, those are my default memories of the guy. When we talk about Ralph we don’t automatically think, he got a tune out of the squad and topped the table with us briefly, we nearly, to a person think 9-0, or crying against Liverpool. |
 | Forum Reply | Would you have Ralph back? at 11:06 6 May 2025
The United 9-0 is not indicative of him. I understand the circumstances behind that. That cock Mike Dean, the idiot junkewitz getting a deserved straight red in the opening minutes. The Leicester one he has to own I’m afraid. Other teams get players sent off and then keep it tight in the hope of still being in the game with 10 minutes left when you can have a go at trying to salvage something. That displayed a lack of tactical nous. Shortly after that United game we played Newcastle away. They had 2 players sent off and still managed to beat us. Ralph did ok but was a busted flush at the end of his time here. Don’t get me wrong, if I thought he could turn it round here I’d give him a chance. The fact he’s had a similar run in Germany to the ones he used to have here (feast or famine) results wise tells me he probably hasn’t evolved as a coach/manager |

I still enjoy the day out. Just not the football. I am 50/50 for the City game. |

Would I be the only one who wouldn't be sorry to see him gone? Regardless of whether HCDAJFU in the championship. I think cutting ties with players associated with perennial failures at the back, especially those who have been here for the length of time we've been weak there, is for the best moving forward. |

1, I stayed until the end in the hope we’d snatch a late equaliser. It’s the hope that kills 2, the group behind me weren’t there, they usually are no matter how bad it’s been this season. There’s always been a few of them regardless. Not Saturday. 3, subs once again not impacting positivity is something that needs addressing desperately 4, see point 2, I’d guess that in the old days of a terrace, people would ultimately bunch together. With designated standing places, people go where they are supposed to. With a half empty stand it’s no surprise. 5, there’s no connection with the club by the fans at present. Just frustration and despair at watching a car crash unfold in front of us since last May. |

Point 3, let’s hope if we are, this happens very quickly. Given the lack of engagement from the club with the fans, it smacks of the board not giving a toss anymore. If they want out that is probably why. |

The people this record reflects on, are Dragan and the other chancers at sports republic. This will be on their cvs for the rest of their time in football. This level of ineptness will be associated to them as current custodians of their positions within the club. We can’t control it. I almost feel this group of “professionals” bar a couple of them also deserve it. To avoid it would feel like they’ve all been let off the hook. Like it’s something to be celebrated. |

Seriously contemplating swapping my Saints ST for a Farnborough one next season. The guff about standard of football after this season doesn’t wash anymore. I’ll just pick the games I head down for when they are at 3pm on a Saturday and the trains are running. |
 | Forum Reply | Cameron Archer's inability to press at 07:33 27 Apr 2025
Once again it was our subs that changed the game for Fulham yesterday. Archer is no target man or hold up outlet, his speed is his best attribute so we need to be playing balls on the deck for him to run on to. Dibbling culpable for a part in their winner. That was the 12th point right there, coughed up. |

Yes. Don’t know why but I’m actually looking forward to it for the first time in as long as I can remember. |
 | Forum Reply | West Ham Game Matchday Thread at 10:04 19 Apr 2025
I went for the Boxing Day 3-2 win we had there in 2021 just to tick it off (remember winning games and what that felt like!) 1 visit there was enough. I feel sorry for West Ham fans losing the Boleyn ground for that. |
 | Forum Thread | A record breaking season of sh1tness at 20:51 16 Apr 2025
The great Arsenal team of 03/04 who went the season undefeated became known as the invincibles It is surely befitting that our record breakers should have the same sort of catchy name that when said in the pub pre game in years to come, instantly draws us back to the shi1ttest team ever in our history. We must be able to come up with something on here that is our own version of the invincibles. I’m going to offer the indefensibles. Purely given for our goals against tally. |

I was in west London (as opposed to east London) at Hayes v Bognor Regis listening to the football on a little hand held radio when the news started filtering through the airwaves that the stoppage wasn’t due to hooliganism but something very serious was amiss. Then that the match had been abandoned and there had been loss of life. Very saddening still to this day. |

I would love to believe we could move smallbone on and replace him with someone better who will improve the team, the reality is I have absolutely no confidence in this mob being capable of making that happen. Do you think otherwise then Dirk? Be honest. |
 | Forum Reply | Smallbone at 09:35 13 Apr 2025
Absolutely, he should be more than capable of doing a job for us next season. But there are levels in sport and perhaps the championship is where he belongs |
