Really off topic now but... you're skeptical which you're entitled to be, my question however then is... is there anything they can do to change that perception for you? I was generally much happier with the change to a more active communication strategy, however you then had someone in a Facebook group complaining at Nourry for attending the open training session and "making it all about himself". Just seems like an impossible tight rope to cross where if you're looking for something, you're going to find it. Tough one and I'm not sure |

Fair enough. Regarding competition there was also Vale available at the time. When Kolli was in the squad he never replaced Frey (don't agree with this) which leaves 5 attacking midfielder / winger positions to 7 possible players using this JS formula (Chair, Saito, Dembele, Smyth, Poku, Vale, Kolli). It's stacked and incidentally haven't had a number of injuries to create opportunities until right this moment |

The problem here is that no one can argue against this canteen incident as it could be true or complete rubbish - no one knows. You've been saying Kolli will be gone in January for a while now so we'll see With the "inconsistent" statements, we're comparing interviews from the 7th November to the 8th December. Sure a month ago he could be kept out of the team because of competition, perhaps a month later JS wants to use him but now he's having injury problems. Both could be true, I don't see why they couldn't [Post edited 8 Dec 15:20]

That's brilliant. It's a great story so far, going from Coventry to Scunthorpe to Grimsby academies, uneventful loans getting 0 goals in 8 games for Bradford and Kilmarnock before Boro then releasing him. Overcoming all of that takes some doing |

That was 6 weeks ago so it could fit, we all know Kolli's history and that is being plagued by injuries in his short career so far, any more isn't exactly a surprise unfortunately |

In agreement with this... "I’d like to use him more but with the injuries it’s difficult" This suggests to me that there has been multiple injuries / knocks. It's clear that the club has been very careful with integrating players too quickly or overworking players this season as we've seen with RND, JCS, Chair and Poku. Can see why people would be frustrated with this but personally prefer this over the likes of Beale running Willock's hamstrings into mince meat |

The squad list is confirmed tomorrow and then they will hold training camp from 10th-20th December according to below. If called up seemingly Saturday was the last time we'll see him for a couple months. He only played 28 minutes over 2 games in the last international break so he might be an outside look - we'll find out soon. https://onefootball.com/en/news/can-2025-ivory-coast-reveals-training-camp-locat I imagine we'd just go one up top with Burrell if this was the case. Otherwise would really hope Bennie would be given a shot, I think it's 7 goals in 8 DS games this season, thought he was good in pre-season also |

Just shows you can't judge numbers because if you're comparing Kelman's 23 goals to Burrell's 11 goals last season you'd guess Kelman would have a better chance at adapting to this level. Burrell's pace, tenacity and seemingly endless stamina already made him a handful, the goals are the cherry on top and I think he's a perfect foil to Kone's power. If Burrell's goals dry up I have no doubt Kone will start firing again Credit to the club for pulling this signing out of nowhere, as I understand he was on the verge of a move to Plymouth before we stepped in? Steal of the summer potentially |

I agree. Would also like to see Kolli - Burrell over an extended period of time, perhaps giving Kone a rest. Thought that looked promising for the short time we saw it vs Hull |

I agree with the rest, if it turns out he's been fired and we all have found out from a WLS article with this timing during the season it's a very sad state of affairs. If that's what has actually happened you're justified I'm just interested to hear more the club and would be shocked at the swiftness if the above is correct. Just 2 months ago he was trusted to basically be our manager for the Plymouth game, what's happened between now and then? Well, let's hopefully find out... |

I'm happy to have a chat, it's just my opinion which is pretty similar to your words at the bottom. Having the news break in this vague way and leaving the rest up to fans' guesswork never ends well. In your post you say "there's a misunderstanding" - no, there's straight up no understanding, whoever you want to blame. I do feel for the club to a certain extent that this has leaked out before a settlement has been agreed, which means legally they feel obligated to stay silent while people who have been upset by this decision leak out their side and the message boards and rumour mill go into overdrive. |

Pretty much my point earlier which I understand is an unpopular take as there's a 23x upvoted post 2 hours after the article asking why the club haven't already released a full statement, tribute, biographical piece. I think blame lies with whoever was involved in leaking the story to WLS with this |

It's like you just said with Field though and it's the first time me hearing that he was told to leave. He signed a new long term contract in June, played every pre season game then full 90s in the first 3 league games of this season. The last game being the 7-1 loss on the 23rd August and the obvious large amount of changes made to a team that got pummeled. Was it after this game he was told to leave, or the entire summer after the contract and being involved in every game? Some of these narratives that appear don't feel right either |

Apologies as meant to upvote. Horrible experience especially when describing his mother being hit and in a scary and vulnerable position. Hopefully that's all behind him now and he can continue performing like we know he can |

I'll tag this along with a response to DaveB as of course there's valid criticism in the treatment of Nardi, Paal... the Cook contract announcement was bizarre to say the least. However along with that I don't see an issue with changing captaincy to a player who will play all 46 games, 90 mins. I don't think Field has been mistreated considering he's been handed long term contracts TWICE in the last 12 months. I don't have sympathy for Kelman who clearly never wanted to be here. The Marti situation while strange we ended up winning by receiving compensation. I'm not blindly one way or the other like it feels you're trying to imply. If it turns out that management has just given Furlong the boot and don't provide a statement or reasoning that would be awful treatment for a club legend and rightly condemned. I know it's dissenting to not contribute into an immediate pile on but all my opinion is, I want to know what's actually happened rather than base everything off a vague leak and ITK's on an internet forum. Let's hope we get that in the next few days |

Thank you I'm not saying it's fake news but it's obvious that WLS are prone to employing clickbait and dramatised headlines for clicks just like they did when they completely mischaracterised Julien Stephan's comments after the Southampton game I'd hope the club would clarify what has happened in an official statement but expecting that inside 24 hours of a published leak I think is a bit ridiculous and an extreme oversimplifying of the situation. This isn't a Sunday league team dropping someone, there's legal obstacles, contracts Also not sure what you want the club to do about Kolli's fathers' instagram posts or a salty ex players' comments in a program I think there's more pressing issues at a football club than this |

I do unfortunately and haven't seen anything of the like so I am interested about what he's talking about here. Have barely heard anything about Nourry on other platforms since the season has started and we can actually talk about football. Sad news about Furs who has done amazing things for the club since returning behind the scenes and for the youth teams, true legend of the club Hesitant to read too much into the increasingly inflammatory WLS to understand the full situation with this one. He has been here 13 years and perhaps had a say himself in moving on? Let's wait and see |
