Fair. On your last point though I think there's an element of personal perspective on what's important. He's combined two roles in CEO and DOF, so he has a wide remit and for some people it will be his signings that are most important and other people the communication etc. Personally there seems to be a lot of stuff that doesn't sit right, especially the Ben Williams situation last season and how that was handled in contrast to Marti. Suggests a workplace where if you're mates with the boss you can do what you like but if not you're going regardless. In my experience they're not the best environment for retaining talent. The Paladini style communication is a worrying trend as well, we've been there before and it's not good. The jobs for the boys stuff, not great, are we still using Retexo as a consultant and hiring their clients? We don't really know what's going on (seemingly by design which is a bit of a red flag) so we can't say for sure what's going on but I don't think we should turn a blind eye to it either. These things could be a massive issue down the road if even half of the above is going on. I hope he's successful because as a fanbase we deserve some good years. |

Wasn't that summer part of the first set of accounts in a rolling 3 year window without the Eze money? We drastically had to cut our costs to avoid a breach with Colback and Cooks contracts weighted towards the second year, yet you claim we had a bigger budget then that we do now? Not sure that's true. I'm not a fan of Nourry but it's not really the individual signings that I'm most concerned about, he's proven to have mixed results but no worse than LF or when we left it to managers (a couple of expensive flops in Celar and Madsen excluded), possibly due to the continuity of Belk across those periods. The weakness seems to be composition of the squad, lack of cover or quality in areas and lack of physicality and speed. The main concern is his control over everything, stopping interviews with the manager, bs forums that he uses to announce contracts rather than listen to fans, the hypocrisy around Ben Williams, potential conflict of interests with Retexo clients, the use of websites he's set up to release information. It's all concerning as it seems like un-necessary things that can and probably will cause the club headaches down the road and undo any of the good work he's doing. Anyway, this signing looks like a good prospect and a good value addition, so hopefully he can add something to the squad and develop into a good player for us. |

I wonder whether the fee coming in installments will be better for FFP than getting it all in one go. I think the reason we had the hard season financially was because we got a lump for Eze which we could use to justify spending in that season and the following 2 seasons within the 3 year window but spending after the initial income year then caused a squeeze when the Eze money dropped out of the window. So 4.5m a year extra turnover for 3 years might be better. |

Polestar 2 - cracking car, managed to do a 220 mile round trip on a single charge, which is as much as I need normally. Have the luxury of stealing the wifes car if the situation calls for a longer drive. Some other EV's I've test driven were too toy-like trying to re-invent the interiors etc. The Polestar is like a normal automatic car until you hit the accelerator. A friend has a Cupra Born, that looks pretty good too. |

If he went and we had a chunk of cash to spend in the January window then I suspect we could survive. As stated before I thought the idea of having a DoF was that these things don't effect the team as much and the succession planning would kick in and we'd have some candidates lined up to replace him. As it stands we're essentially saying we're better off losing money rather than losing a manager mid-season which suggests they're not confident that they could manage that transition. I think LBlock has nailed it with clown show tbh. |

They've extended his contract, they've added a paragraph about holiday entitlement. |

Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Even if you were focusing on one demographic of fan, you could and should also keep other fans happy, they're not mutually exclusive. You could have someone at the ground every day filming content for tiktok to keep the younger fans happy and then also provide news via the website for "legacy to" fans. The implication that because they're always going to turn up you can treat them like dirt is horrible and perplexing that someone claiming to be part of that group would accept it. At the end of the day, if a group is going to have the power to make his position untenable, it's the "legacy" fans who actually turn up and could easily protest. So perhaps their strategy should treat them with more respect. |

This is what I was thinking. Previous CEO's have been criticised for late kit launches across the summer and rightly apologising and acknowledged it shouldn't happen. Previous DOF's have been criticised for lack of experience despite a clear connection to the club and experience as a coach. But criticising Nourry a 27 year old recruitment consultant for these things is the straw that broke the back |

I think we should be clear though that the development squad is different from the academy, it's essentially the old reserves squad. It's a shame the academy isn't filling that up and we have to look externally to get players with potential in. So I agree with CN having a bit of a shake up of the academy and getting in players with potential. The second bit we've always done with players like Kelman, Chair, Eze, Bright, Dieng, Walsh etc all brought in at that age/level, I'm pretty sure even Willock started out in the reserves after he signed initially. So it's odd how it's seen as revolutionary now when it was something we did under LF as well to good effect. |

I'd suggest that there is a difference between a good academy and buying 18 year olds to fill out the development squad. I'd also remind you that for the first 3 years LF was DoF we were trying to cut our wage bill heavily year on year, so not an easy task or comparable to the situation CN has inherited. As for the academy, we have Kolli and Sutton coming through to the first team which is good compared to previous years but could still do with improvement. The ones we signed in the last year are the product of someone else's academy. |

I'm not so sure it ends there for me. How do you trust or respect the job someone is doing when they've shown such a catastrophic lack of judgement in letting this happen in the first place? Saying they've fixed something after 9 - 12 months of it being a problem and clearly not in the best interest of the club, isn't really good enough and below the standard I'd want for people running our club. |

I thought that the DoF arrangement was supposed to offer that continuity so that the head coach leaving wasn't a massive issue, are you saying our DoF isn't up to it or are you worried about our CEO's ability for continuity planning? |

It's not been fair since the refs have stopped giving them ferrgie time or dodgy penalties for players like Young diving. Maguire spent most of the second half on the floor and got nothing the poor baby. |

I think the attitude of the squad in the Home game was poor considering how little football they tried to play despite having greater resources than us. Also the way he dealt with the retrospective red card as if they were the victims. Doesn't fill me with much hope but that's just a small sample of him as a manager so hopefully Aston _hoops friend is correct if he does end up being the manager. |

Strictly speaking the Car Giant site is also within H&F albeit not in W12. Since Old Oak Common changed the plan to make that area not suitable for housing development I wonder if a mutually beneficial agreement could be reached with car giant. Whilst we've annoyed them previously they are a business so may be willing to listen to a good offer from our new representatives. |

It would be a poor option as they won't get much for the stadium due to the wording of the local plan requiring equivalent open space within the borough. So it would be a massive risk for the developers as it could be over half the site as open space, so that would be reflected in the price of the site. |
