My gut tells me that Ronnie Edwards is like your first girlfriend that you remember from years ago. Much better as a memory and should probably stay that way rather than be QPR’d. You split up a for a reason and it probably still exists - money/ambition/contractual terms etc in this case.
Why not go and find the next one instead. He can’t be the only one and you can probably afford 2-3 goes at it if you do the right research. There may even be a continental or South American version out there - ok, the fam won’t be QPR fans and he won’t be that good looking but I’m sure there’s someone else similar listed on footballs version of GRINDR somewhere.
That gantry must have been moving and shaking all over the place on Tuesday…
They have created a great team, very noticeable when they are absent and the videos are on the regular follow up watch list for YouTube after the games.
Wouldn’t mind a couple of videos from the training ground at some point. Some interviews and being the scenes on the handheld device would be good.
A tour of the physio room would be hilarious….so we can see some of our favourite players every week.
I’d settle for a decent left back that’s actually on our books and a first choice keeper at this stage.
RND has been great so far but he’s probably quite expensive to maintain, so having one of our own might offset the cost of a better keeper and also add to the asset base. RND may also be recalled if such a clause exists, so it would be good to plan ahead.
I can live with Nardi’s issues as he keeps us in games at times, but if you want to push on then you need more consistency all round. I don’t think we can go back to Walsh and Hamer is OK as a reserve - for now - but I wouldn’t want him starting many more games.
It’s interesting to watch and I agree, risky. I have different levels of anxiety that are dependent on who receives it on the D.
Maybe it does invite the press and avoid Nardi going long but once the ball goes out to the FB, it mostly goes long at that point anyway because they are also being pressed.
I do wonder if we could avoid the risky business in the middle and just send it directly to the FB. Hopefully someone smarter than me can help with an answer to this because there must be be a reason for it that I can’t work out.
Does it create a better angle or suck more players in to release more space maybe ? Confused.com
The biggest take away for me was that we played much more as a team that performed together much better than the individual parts. It’s been a while since I’ve seen that and that is a very good sign if it continues.
Also some good individual performances, which you expect game to game, but the bigger picture is improving too IMO.
Big test of this continuing as a trend at the weekend. Kone and Burrell both looked tired in the second half and Burrell short of a little pace a times. Hope the longer period of recovery helps because we don’t have much back up for them and they play well together.
Word of warning / beware of too much possession…..exorcists are in short supply this season.
