286 all out. Poor, but credit to Stokes and Archer for playing proper test cricket and showing the grit and determination ALL our lot need to offer every game, not just now and again. |

Convicts 371 all out England 42-3. Two superb pieces of bowling, one gift. Almost 4. Root survives by DRS, but we're owed one. Bat all day and get 500 1st innings on a placid wicket? Hope progress towards that is what I wake up to, but this isn't good so far. G'night. |

Having attended the Shareholders AGM last evening, and heard about pitch developments from those who are organising it, on behalf of those who are funding it, and having shuffled through the mud to get to the meeting (eventually held in Ratcliffe's not the 1907 as the ground is a construction site!) I have no fears whatsoever. What happened in the past needs to stay there, as does the incompetent ***t who used it as an opportunity to self-aggrandise and on who's watch we are in the mess we are in. The here and now screams professionalism, proper contracts and guarantees in place for all stages of the work, daily or bi-daily updates from the contractors to the board, all weather scenarios catered for, and even the use of Accy's ground in the future should any of the planning fail at the COA. Our current drains work. Additional drainage is being added! The problem was the $h1te beneath the turf would not allow excessive rain to drain. Who put that $h1te there? Not commented on by our current directors but we know. There is so much work going on, later in the evening under floodlights. All paid for by the Ogden's We know charlatans when we see them. We've rooted them out and kicked their backsides out of the COA. The Ogden investment in the club is the real deal. UP THE DALE. |

Wasn't there a James (surname I forget) during the hostile takeover / tyre kickers period of 2021 who reckoned he'd got a degree in Physics from Manchester Uni aged 17? Not believed, and failed fact checks by supporters and shareholders. It sounded implausible. Some "degrees" are. I've also read two articles in Michael Jolley's name where he goes on about "returning the club (bury) to its rightful place in the EFL". This version of bury have NEVER played in the EFL so how can they return to it? One wonders how that fib impacted on the decision making of those easily weakened by delusion? Both bury's have form for it. |

Like what happened to bury. Paid the £12million you owe back yet? Little pub team follower in a village league. You know it. You've got the attention you so desperately crave. Happy to oblige. Merry Xmas, nob. |

Albeit 17:30 rather than the good old 19:00, but the board have timescales too. Might be difficult for shareholders with day jobs, but much better than a morning. The board accepted requests for a time change at the last AGM and have acted upon the promise they gave. |

Agreed - well worth a watch. https://rochdaleafc.co.uk/excl Shows the professionalism of the backroom staff (far and away better than some of the so called "physios" we've had over the years) and the dedication of the player. Also, credit to the media team who are putting great material out there promptly, unlike some others in the NFL. |

Like the old reserve games of yore. Gave a few of ours a run out in a meaningless competition that the club gets some financial benefit from. Very cold watching from the Main Stand, and the iciness transferred to the pitch causing a few slips on the surface. Hope the frost covers are on tonight. |
 | Forum Reply | Refwatch - Tamworth v Rochdale at 21:11 22 Nov 2025
I think his first name is really Tamworth. Shockingly inconsistent and favoured the home side massively. A hard fought for three points, but how many shooting opportunities were wasted that would have a least offered the possibility of a goal if taken up? Could have made the game much easier on the pitch, and to watch off the pitch. Was more a feeling of relief than joy when referee Tamworth blew the final whistle. That said, top of the league will do very very nicely. Well done Dale (The team, not the ref). |

Kudos to the Test Match Special commentators. They thought this pitch would suit Stokes' bowling. An hour later he's on and gets five wickets! |

As I type, there is significant rainfall within the Spotland & Falinge Ward. Tuesday isn't fab according to the BBC weather forecasters (who aren't perfect) A club statement of how RAFC are dealing with this dilemma would be useful for all concerned. [Post edited 3 Nov 1:07]

As of this minute, been speaking to a former Trust member who's resigned, and has just received minutes of the Trust AGM 2025. I don't know how the mailouts work, but as a current member, no AGM 2025 minutes have been received in my inbox or in junk mail. Edit: They've just landed, after the non-member received them. Brilliantly observed commentary as always. How good were Dale to watch? The tear-in at the end to Ferguson's snowflakery / $h1thousery mirrors how The Sandy saw his buffoonery last Saturday. A phrase not used much nowadays, but a prime example of "how to make a rod for your own back." He'll end up at bury. [Post edited 23 Oct 11:15]
