Super Ray came along around the time my dad started taking me to Loftus Road. I just assumed every team must have a player that good in the heart of their midfield. An absolute legend and a gentleman. |

By a man physically stronger and taller than them. It happens. Not many strikers of that size in the league. Although we didn't win many headers we generally dealt with their threats pretty well. |

Leaburn had the better of them in the air because he's about 4 inches taller than Morrison and 6-8 inches taller than Mbengue. Not sure there was much chance of them winning many headers against him. More about how we defended the flick ons from him which we did well enough. I thought their big winger was decent and troubled Morrison once or twice like he struggled a bit with Watfords big physical players. |

He's had a few decent assists when he had that good little run towards the end of last season. When he's bad he's baggage but he's also one of the only players capable of stitching play together. Consistency is the key and rotating the squad. There'll be away games where it's just not the right environment for him like Millwall. If he can find consistency and the manager uses him correctly then he can be a useful player for us like he was today. |

On the bench again today. Ce on for the last two minutes. He can't be happy playing so little. |

Fantastic. I work in a school in central London and we have a lot of Japanese families. The kids are all so nice and well behaved. Something wonderful about the Japanese culture is that they value respect and hardwork so highly and if Koki is anything to go by, they also have a sense of humour. |

I think there's only been two or three posters digging him out today. I've seen more give a balanced view acknowledging that he had a decent game. It's always quiet on here after a win. Misery loves company. |

Yes. Nothing wrong at all with Madsen today. By all means criticise him when he's poor but that was a decent performance today. I had him just above Varane who was a little sloppy in possession but overall okay. Charlton didn't set the world alight but they were organised and are still carrying momentum from their incredible end of season form from last year. A win is a win. |

Unsurprisingly quiet on here after a good result. Really enjoyed today. We weren't great but we showed some bottle and it looks to me like the players care. Great timing to have a couple of weeks off now to get players a bit more fit. One thing that stood out today was how strong the bench was even though we still have two or three first choice players out injured. |

Madsen is going to take criticism every game. Sometimes he deserves it, sometimes he doesn't. He's been fine today, won a few tackles and played some decent passes. Shame people can't look past the bad performances and give credit when it's due. |

Not saying you might not have a point but there are plenty of existing threads this could have been posted on. Did it really need a new thread? |

That's a lovely interview. I really hope it works out for him. I took my kids to the player signing even at Westfield last season and Koki was so friendly. |

I think there was a piece in the Athletic or NYT where he spoke about keeping himself super fit so hopefully he'll be good to go on Saturday. |

This is great news. He strikes me as a player who sets himself high standards and will demand more from his team mates. Cook has done a similar job but his legs have gone so Hayden is much needed. Hopefully we can get the left back from Sheffield United too. Although he's not loved up in Sheffield, he's got a bit of experience and I'm sure will want to prove the doubters wrong. |

Only seen the goals so not seen the poor play in the build up but Cook gets done badly for at least two of them. He looks finished. I heard good things about Mbemgue in his first game at CB. Surely he has to start ahead of Cook now. Dembele has always been a defensive liability. Okay if you're Adel but he's not good enough to get away with doing no defensive work. Signing Saito and the LB from Sheffield United will hopefully toughen us up a bit and hopefully they'll bring Hayden back. Maybe give Field a rest as it sounds like he's having a mare at the moment. I've been away last two weeks. Back for the Charlton game. Will be fascinating to see what their response is. Hoping we start with Kone and get our noses in front and the crowd behind the team. Concede early and it could be another bad day. |
