When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was about Warnock warning his wife about a new job again!!

How else do you turn a corner if you're improving game by game?

Jimmy Dunne Will he stay or will he go
at 23:31 19 Apr 2025

Exactly. More of a sell on value than Colback or Cook but we signed them in the 30's! Well as it goes he'd have no reslae value at all as he'd be at the end of his contract.

So if we signed him on a four year deal, it's because of the value he brings in both on AND off the pitch in so many different ways. And you've got a guarenteed versatile, consistant player on your books.

Also, if someone wanted him next summer with 2-3 years still go on his contract, then we could command a decent fee.

I really ike him. Quick, clever first time passes putting us in great attacking positions.

He made have had an iffy start in fans eyes, and all he can do is try and improve, and he has done. He's been very effective in the last 3 games. There's not much more he can do than what he's doing at the moment.

Well done Nico.

It's rare to get someone as versatile and valuable as Dunne has been for us these last 18 months. Brilliant defender and a huge threat up front as well now. If we're keeping Cook and even Colback who are already well into there 30's, then I fail to see the caution in giving Dunne a 4 year contract that would keep him at the club until he's only 31!!! Both Cook (I think) and Colback were older than this when we signed them.

Also, it means we can demand a decent fee if anyone comes after him in the next couple of years or so. It's no brainer for me.

Eh? That makes no sense whatsoever.

He's on 2k per week under contract at his parent club, and we've got him on loan and have TRIPLED his wages?? How does that work?!

Am I missing something here?

At last! A sensible post that clearly show/proves that he's not had sufficient time to prove himself. Especially at such a young age.

Fans making out hes literally had a whole half a season of football with us and failed to score really grips my sh!t!

I don't get why fans are so dead against giving a chance to a player that is already ours and has banged in 20 goals in just the division below us?! Like we've got other options lined up from Champ or Prem with our "War Chest" !!!

Paul Morrissey asked him was it was like to play with and behind Alan Mcdonald.

Jurgen was obviously very complimentary about him as a player and a person. Then went on to say that he lent Alan some cowboy boots and never got them back. And said he'll get them back next time he sees him!

Unless I misheard him, but I'm certain that's what he said.
