I have got to the ripe old age of 53 and completely gone off lager. Now, I am not looking to join CAMRHA and grow a beard but as a late adopter I struggle when looking at the beers and invariably go for the highest percentage. Old habits and all that. I quite like Fullers ESB what others should I be trying? Few Fullers and Young's pubs in my work and home vicinity. Richmond and Hampton respectively. |

I am basing this on the fact that I have seen you Hunter and Jim in the flesh and you are younger. Not very scientific I will agree!!I have never knowingly seen anyone else. Whatever. The youngsters can have their twitter as long as we can come on here and pontificate in peace. Well, relative peace |

That made me smile. Good on the youngsters for making an effort. It also made me wonder about the age demographic of this forum. I'm 53 and imagining this may be about the average. |

I think Varane will become this type player. Not sure he knows how good he is yet. Has all the attributes. |

Great news. Good player with a lot of potential Seems to like it here Loved his response at full time whistle against Oxford Will score more goals next season Will play in the premiership at some point. Saleable asset At times reminds me of peak Diakite What's not to like? |

I also listen to podcasts and can highly recommend Fotun Adebeyo and Tim Vickery world football show on BBC sounds. About three hours of chat. Often sounds like Dotun had been partaking in the wine but Tim is always superb. If I really can't sleep I listen to that most boring gold podcast regarding technique and mentality. On that note I highly recommend the chipping forecast on Spotify. Andrew Cotteral and Eddie Pepperel. Ostensibly about golf but many interesting and humorous musings. Apologise to all involved in the spelling of these names. |

Absolutely this. Mentality monsters are what we need and these two would be a very good base from which our monsters could operate. |

I saw him play against Hampton and Richmond a couple of weeks ago. He was excellent. Played full back rather than DCM. Set up one of the goals with a lovely pass. |

I regularly attend Hampton and Richmond matches in the national south and they have done extremely well to do this. There are a surprising number of strong teams in the division. As ever nearly always related to finance. I am loving that Dorking with their pantomime manager are having to go through the play offs after earlier in the season saying they would be the best team in the division. What is interesting is that ownership is even more questionable in these reaches if the structure. We had two brothers who took over the club, completely alienated fans, effectively got rid of volunteers and embarked on an unsustainable spending spree that ultimately (last year) didn't even get us to play offs. They spent on things like a head of mindset or something similar. Apparently an ex SAS man that I never saw. They have now departed and as usual there will be a big overhaul of playing staff. It is not unusual at this level to only recognise one or two players from the season before as the majority are part timers. I love it as it is effectively home from home for a QPR fan. We lost 8-2 at home a couple of weeks ago!!! |

I find this bots ghost poster issue interesting. Would Nourry really do this? Seems a bit extreme and ultimately what would be the point. I suppose offering another narrative and challenging the predominant viewpoint. But what does this achieve. Just tends to lead to further polarisation. Honest question. Does fans network have the biggest readership? I reckon so. It is the only one I have used for years but are these ghost posters also appearing on the other forums Before you ask I am mainly a lurker but have occasionally posted for a number of years. |
 | Forum Reply | Colback has shown the grit we have needed at 11:25 11 Apr 2025
I would keep them both for this very reason. They set the example with their commitment. Colback would be useful next year. Varane, Field and Morgan (earlier season version) are athletic and mobile and Colback could fit well into the midfield jigsaw. Bit of grit, good positionally and underrated distribution. Varane is different gravy and I would build the team around him Morrison and hopefully a rejuvenated Charlie K. He has the potential to be a premiership midfielder. I absolutely loved watching him against Oxford. |

His positioning is superb. Always in the right place to intercept. A natural defender. |

Would agree with this. Also thought we looked a lot poorer when Alfie came off. Bennie up front is not something many would have had on their bingo cards at the start of the season. |

Brackenbury Primary School and then Holland Park Comprehensive. That was an experience! Became a primary teacher and worked at Lena Gardens and Queens Manor. QM too close to Fulham for my liking. Now a Headteacher in an adjoining borough. No QPR fans in the school population despite my hard work. |

How are we here? Rock bottom what feels like yesterday and now lauded as the next best thing. We are confused utsiders more so. Not even in the top twenty best championship podcasts devoting time to us. Marti, flavour if the month. My question is where does this upturn in form come from? My answer is that it must be multi faceted. Marti is tremendous but the players must be driving this. A disapproving look from Dunne, Field fronting you up, Cook demanding more. I think we have a spine of sensible, committed professionals who are driving this team forward. I would add Fox and Frey to this list. I know this is conjecture but I think it is the collective spirit promoted by a number of key individuals that is improving results. Long may irl continue. |
 | Forum Reply | Ashby injured or hooked? at 07:13 22 Jan 2025
I think this is a good attitude and would normally support it. However, I would happily never see him in a Rangers shirt again. It is ok to try your best be humble and be a bit shit. But, I simply cannot forgive ridiculous decision making and he was gone for me when he tried a trick to take in a Leicester player as practically the last man. Totally changed the shape of the game. |
 | Forum Reply | Ashby. at 09:06 12 Jan 2025
To me it was not just the initial mistake it was the brain dead timing of the mistake. We were actually on top and passing it around nicely having settled into a pattern of plat after equalising. He tried something you should try in the last or possibly middle third not as last line if defence. As a teammate I would have been livid. As a freezing cold fan I was livid. A mist opportunity for sure. |
