 | Forum Reply | who is picking the team? at 10:35 21 Nov 2025
I still think we have no one with a scooby what to do on the football side at the club. Gorringe has manufactured himself into a position he has no right to be in i.e CEO and now overseeing football matters. He is way out of his depth and this could end up being disastrous for the club. We need an experienced DOF at the club as soon as possible. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Hellberg was a montague pick and gorringe et all went straight for him this time around. I stand by my original post. I do not think there is anyone at the club incl the owners who have any experience of picking a manager and that is very worrying. |
 | Forum Thread | Who at the club at 19:44 11 Nov 2025
has the capability to choose the next manager.? The owners don't have the experience and Gorringe is a commercial guy chucked in as CEO. The football side is not for him. Whilst i felt it was time Sheehan went, i am very nervous about who will replace him |

Looking at the players they had last year they probably have the biggest budget so 5th is very poor. Britton Ferry and nunerous others are amateur . When they play at Llandarcy entry is free for the 50 or so that turn up. There is no sponsorship money. I would hazard a guess that the team and everything that goes with it costs the club over £200,000 a season. They need to get into the English system but they the costs will be higher. |

They went to champions league a lot more than just 2017. Liegh looked after the womens team from about 2015 as the club weren't interested at that time. It would have disbanded if he hadn't of taken it over. The team was ran by him and Ian Owen. Club had it back for the 23/24 season but Ian and liegh continued for that season overseeing things . Ian left beginning of the 24/25 season and liegh halfway through it. They finished outside the top four for the first time that i can remember. I heard that when the club took it back they also were given about £150,000 by liegh and Ian that was surplus funds in the bank account of the women. Women went to champions league in 2017/18 2020/21 Cyprus 2021/22 Cyprus 2022/23 North Macedonia They won or were second in the league from 2015 to 2023 winning it 4 times |

My gut feeling is that the new owners will spend in the summer providing they are in the championship and FFP allows. There is serious money about with them and they don't seem to be the type to want to fail. |

I am told he walked out a few weeks ago. He told the chairman he couldn't work under these conditions anymore and walked away. |

There is a solution but we know it won't be taken. Send Gude home. Save his wages, living allowance and kids schooling. Spend the savings on: A CEO, Director of football and a top commercial person. Let them run the club day to day including the removal of Williams. YOU need to act as a Chairman. In other words chair the board and be the conduit between board and CEO/ SMT. Importantly listen to them. This way you might, just might Save the club from relegation Save your investment Save what reputation you had. |

I had an interesting chat with someone yesterday who has had dealings with Coleman over the last year. What was said was pretty scathing . My thoughts before were that he was out of his depth and this was confirmed. In conversation he basically doesn't listen but is just waiting to cut in and ramble . The conversations generally get around to him and how good he is at everything !!. He is not assessable to the staff at all. If you want to talk to him it is done through Ken who is his private secretary so to speak. He has no realistic vision and this is felt throughout the club with most just drifting along. The biggest worry is no matter what you say he will just do what he thinks is best and this is never going to change. This club needs a football CEO very quickly . There is no one at the club at senior level who has the first idea about football and its workings. Worrying times |

With Williams there we are in real trouble. A proper manager wouldn't have Grimes sitting between centre halves , leaving the other 2 midfielders exposed to the extent that he pushes fullbacks inside to compensate. Fullbacks that give the ball away in dangerous positions from where the opposition invariably score. |

I don't think he will care what people think. Thick skin |

The guy has made money but not from building and running businesses that employ 100's of people. His family ran a small hotel in Washington from what i have found out and he then made his money from arranging finance etc for hotel acquisitions. He is absolutely out of his depth when it comes to running a business of our size especially in football. He brought in Kenny boy to try and deal with the every day stuff but the UK is a different animal to the US. For starters our employment laws will cause him problems. To think Coleman now is looking after player recruitment is frightening and fills me with utter dread. The club is rudderless yet these 2 think they the know what they are doing. They don't and we are in the cack big time |

So got some info. He wanted to stay this season as he suggested the manager and wanted to help the new head of womens football bed in. Unhappy with some signings that he felt no better and just wasting money. They should have been offered amateur contracts not semi pro. Unhappy with the line on ' identity ' when it is so different from what they were known for before and the football is unrecognisable from previous seasons. Taking 13 players to TNS just about finished him... the perception that a swansea side can't take 16 players to TNS he felt was embarrassing considering we have a 17's and 19's side . Basically left as no point being there as the manager doesn't want to listen to advice and the head of football is leaving. That has come from 2 sources. One close to him. |
 | Forum Reply | Cabango and Darling crunch time is here at 11:32 24 Dec 2024
Cabangos form has certainly dropped last few games. It could well be due to contract talks. The club need to tie both players down as it will cost a lot more to replace. |
 | Forum Reply | Leigh Dineen at 11:31 24 Dec 2024
I can probably find that out. They certainly seem to have lost their way since coming into the club compared to previous seasons where they were pretty much unbeatable. It could be that he just isn't happy with the ways things are going. |
