Thanks Clive.

Try to have a good rest & let Queens Park Rangers take care of themselves, while you do the same for yourself!

Congratulations to Wealdstone on avoiding relegation today after beating Halifax 3-1 & sending Dagenham down.

By not questioning where the information has come from as you normally do, indicates to me that you've accepted it as fact. By not challenging Isn't that hypocrisy on your part?

Of course, perception is often very different to the receiver than was intended by the originator & I do accept that it might not have been your intention.

But isn't that what Charlie's is? But you apperar to have accepted his statement as fact rather than asking for his evidence.

At least, that is the perception that I'm getting.

Come on Ned. You have consistently asked posters to prove that their information is correct.

Would it not be consistent for you to have asked Charlie to do the same & name his sources?

Thanks Clive.

I read in amazement how the shirt sponsors were treated. And I expect the club will be shocked if they don't renew their sponsorship next season!

Could anyone who was present post an account of the day?

Sorry, I didn't mean if the Burnley result led to the change as I'm firmly in the camp that it was inevitable. Just to whether it affected the timing?

Thanks Clive.

I'm halfway through listening & would like to ask for your view on a question that is nagging at me:-

Do you think that Cifuentes would have been placed on "Garden Leave" this week IF we had performed against Burnley? Or would the 5-0 defeat have hastened the thought that this would be the best time to announce parting company?

I said in the pub post match on Saturday that I thought he'd be gone before this weekend as they had been given the green light.

Possible next managers...
at 16:41 1 May 2025

"I just can't imagine it's going to be anyone we've heard of but this is not out of the blue, they must already have an idea who they want otherwise this week is an even bigger shitshow than it already looks"

I would be staggered if they hadn't drawn up a short list prior to the past fortnight & determined if those named were interested . Given the fallout between the two parties, it would be dereliction of duty by Nourry if this was not the case.

I'm still annoyed that the Defectors stopped selling Proper Job after their refurbishment.

Big Job looks to be a little potent for me these days!

It's basically the same as it has been for most of my near 60 years oF support!

I did think yesterday if I'd renew my ST, but then I thought that I did with Ainsworth as manager (and went to Watford first game). I'm not saying that now is any better, but it ain't no worse!

This is the first time that you've seemed to accept that their posts were based on information that had been passed to them!

I know that you don't think the information was accurate, but is'nt it possibly the same way that Dave Mc has contacts? Every disagreement has alternative views & this is no different.

I, for one, doubt that either party is innocent or free from blame!

National League Conundrum ?
at 13:03 29 Apr 2025

The distance south for Meryth is only marginal. As it is for Chesham!

Meryth Tydfil is in South Wales & has access to the M5 & closer to the Midland clubs in the north. Yes, Hemel has even easier access to the M1!

The Welsh League tried very hard this season to get Meryth to transfer to their Premier League, but the clubs supporters refused to let it happen. Meryth Town FC are the reincarnation of Meryth Tydfil FC (ex FL club) who went out of existence a few years back.

National League Conundrum ?
at 12:05 29 Apr 2025

It doesn't have to be two relegated sides in the North & two in the South.

Three of the relegated teams will be playing in National league South, with Meryth (Southern League South champions) likely to be placed in the North. The other options for transfer are the two clubs that are north of Meryth - Hemel Hempstead & Chelmsford, but moving one of these is unlikely.

Gloucester could win the SLS playoffs & that would cause some debate. Would they go North with Meryth (Oxford City moving south), or instead of the Welsh club?

Dagenham could replace Wealdstone or Maidenhead as one of the relegated teams.

At the time many Rangers supporters thought that it was time for Warnock to go & I don't recall many being upset with Hughes being appointed at the time, or when we won the five home games in a row to avoid relegation.

In my view, the biggest mistakes they have made were:-
1) Appointing Harrold instead of accepting relegation & building for the following year.

2) The money they chucked about/away for the seasons he was manager.

3) The appointment of managers because x "had an itch to scratch"

4) Putting FFP in doubt for following years by breaking all of their own rules regarding wages. Every time there looks to be a remote chance of being near the top they revert to "spend, spend, spend".

5) Possibly their biggest mistake - Upsetting Car Giant (previous club sponsors when we needed them to be) over Old Oak Common. A partnership that may have had a chance of being accepted by the powers that be.

I'm sure that there are many others that can be added to the list.

QPR trounced in final home game as Burnley run riot - Report
at 10:15 28 Apr 2025

I thought we looked good for the opening three minutes! That changed after Madsen finds himself free in the penalty area & instead of shooting, attempts a cut back to nobody!

I was relieved that Burnley had decided that they didn't need Edwards for this match. They really missed him though! And the celebrations for Trafford's save were more than we would have managed if we had scored. Near the end of the match it looked as if we might have a goal scoring opportunity, but SIX of their players sprinted back to snuff out any danger. I realised at that moment why Parker is the man to employ at this level!

Thankfully, Ashley Barnes didn't score & it was good having an after match drink with friends.

One last question. Why would anybody at West Bromich want to cause issues at Queens Park Rangers?

Do you think they hate us for 1967?
