Millwall 2 v 1 Portsmouth EFL Championship Saturday, 5th April 2025 Kick-off 15:00 | ![]() |
Fans will remember only one thing about Pompey v Blackburn, so let's have a repeat at Millwall Thursday, 3rd Apr 2025 20:52 by Pompey-fans.com staff Pompey's clash with Blackburn was no classic - far from it in fact. But Connor Ogilvie won't mind if this weekend's clash at Millwall is similarly poor fare to watch - as long as the result is the same. The 1-0 win over Blackburn took Pompey seven points clear of the Championship relegation zone, though that gap has since been cut to five by Derby's win over Preston in midweek. It means Pompey still have work to do to make sure they survive, as Ogilvie ackowledged when speaking to the club website. 'It’s in our hands and up to us get the results that are needed to keep our Championship status,' he told the site. 'We’ve put ourselves in a good place and have to make sure that we keep working hard to get the job done. 'Millwall will always be a tough game and we’re looking for a similar outcome to what happened last Saturday. Performances can go up and down, although the most important thing at this stage of the season is results. 'It wasn’t a great match against Blackburn, but people won’t remember that – they’ll just see that we won 1-0. I played in the centre and we got a clean sheet, so that provides confidence. It’s not a foreign position for me and I enjoy I there. 'Hopefully that will continue if I stay there and I can keep playing on the front foot and with plenty of aggression.'
