An apology for the devil: it must be remembered that we have heard one side of the case. God has written all the books. Samuel Butler (not the ex Huddersfield player) |

Totally this. I seriously don't understand the negativity around Kone. his all round play is very strong, he's young and learning his trade and inexperienced - especially at this level, and always puts a shift in. If we can hold onto him for a couple of seasons, he will be worth a fortune. |

His face when the camera panned over to him when Cucaracha got sent off was priceless. Completely out of his depth, taking over from the work placement kid... |

Interesting appointment and very cynical in many ways. I actually think that it demonstrates the end of the all powering managers like Pep and ferguson (who utd have never successfully replaced) I think the scum are looking at the three B's brentfor/brighton/bournemouth and attempting to replicate the systems they have successfully created - their managers are effectively coaches who have very little or no say in the transfers, they are there to coach the players that are brought in on analytics and to fit a system. Coupled with the multi club ownership, its effectively using lesser european sides to blood and breed your coaches with little or no real risk. They are also farming the players too - The scum have already agreed that Strasbourg's top scorer joins them in the summer. It's a cynical 'wooden dollar's ' exercise that massages account sheets and I think we will be seeing much more of this in the coming years... Gary O'neil taking over at Strasbourg probably also means he's being primed to take over at the scum after they have exhausted Rosenior's capabilities... |

It’s the same old formula every time from him and sadly we lap it up and respond accordingly to his narcissistic pleasure. I posted something on one of his threads a while back, which I’ve regurgitated as its just as relevant now as it was back then - He loves to engage in his self-promotion, validation-seeking, curated online persona. Narcissistic traits, such as grandiosity and a need for admiration, are amplified by the constant feedback and attention available on platforms such as this with high engagement. The responses that he desires and often posts purely for provocation and engagement, often include self-presentation and validation seeking. His type of narcissism tends to use social media to craft an idealised online self - posting multiple threads and updates to gain admiration and validation from others – often enjoying the attention being gathered and garnered regardless of being construed either positively or negatively. Individuals displaying narcissism tend to post more frequently, posting contrary thoughts and attention seeking engagement, rewarded with comments, shares and divisive content. Anything that provokes attention or validation of their insecurity and sensitivity to criticism tends to be a coping mechanism for negative emotions and external validation. This excessive use for self enhancement leads to problematic behaviour – which in itself reinforces narcissistic traits – especially if it becomes the primary way of replicating emotions and self-esteem. It manifests as a method of maintaining a positive self view and any feedback – particularly engagement – further solidifies his narcissistic tendencies. This in turn provides constant stimulation and validation, which is very appealing to narcissistic individuals and is potentially addictive. He just wants the attention – which is hilarious and truly very sad in equal measures. |

I have my moments, but I still feel incredibly excited about going to Loftus Rd, taking my seat (same one for 30 years or more) and watching us play - win lose or draw. Also for me its not just the game - its pie and mash on Portobello before, Coffee at the Oporto on Golborne, the sheer awe of Trellick Tower, leisurely stroll on Portobello. It's engaging with my sons - less frequent visitors now as they have young children, walking up South Africa rd and standing outside the shops saying hello to faces old and new. I took a new flame Saturday who has never been to a game before and she was absolutely smitten - sometimes I really think we take for granted this amazing atmosphere and community we have at Loftus Rd... I understand the apathy that comes with the premier league, international football and the general cynicism that is now inherent in the game, but our little bit of west london pride and those butterflies in the stomach every game keep me going.... |

Nice piece this - good to keep him up in the public eye. Slight concern now that he is a full international - with AFCON around the corner we could be losing him and a few others in January. I thought he had a good game Saturday, good link up and made himself a nuisance. As mentioned by other posters - once he scores again I think he will click back into place. Nice cameo from Kolli too, he gets my vote above Frey at present. |

Last Christmas I sat my three 30-40 year old kids down to watch Young Frankenstein with Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder - the most seminal comedy film ever released... After 20 mins, they all decided they couldn't understand what was funny about it.... Needless to say, they are all banned this Christmas this year.... |

went to see Bugonia last night... Purposely kept away from the reviews as it obviously has a lot to live up to after the amazing 'Poor thing' by director Yorgos Lanthimos and main protagonist, Emma Stone. It's a fantastic, surreal plotline that toys with the recent covid type conspiracies with Jesse Plemmons playing a you tube educated theorist ably assisted by his impressionable autistic cousin, who believes the world is being run by aliens. It goes down some very dark holes and demonstrates the underbelly of america's detached outsiders, whilst questioning the motives of big pharma. The repartee between Stone and Plemmons is superb and almost effortless, as they take turns to switch the power base of their situation. Thoroughly enjoyable, if a little predictable towards the end - a strong 8/10 for me. |

Ironically, you are talking about two lagers that are in the best selling top three in the UK. Fosters, which is distributed by Heineken, sells a LOT of volume, particularly in the north of England. I'm operating a big immersive event in the Waterloo area over eight weeks this Christmas and we have chosen to rename the Fosters with the event name. There's definitely an argument to say that the niche, independent beers and lagers are better tasting, but you will pay a premium for that quality. With the top selling lagers in the UK, controversially I would say they are much of a muchness - Carling's perception within the market is that it is a 'sports' lager, where as Carlsberg is perceived as the 'music' lager. Both are awful session lagers IMHO. Fosters has a perception of cheap, session lager in the market - hence renaming it to give it some appeal. We've chosen to have two lagers on sale at the event - Moretti, as the premium product and Fosters as the pour. Pricepoint is a 50p between the two products. |
