That's a cracking summary Clive, thanks. The list of employees is frightening, particularly as we appear to be doing the exact opposite of what they're employed to do. Any normal organisation losing money would have a close look at value v cost and trim the numbers accordingly. Boro were very good but had another couple of gears if they'd needed them. QPR'd again. |

Blimey, what’s really going on behind the scenes….. |

A combination of absent owners and an inexperienced, unproven CEO / DOF is a huge problem. Everyone, including manager, players, fans, appear accepting of our position and are largely going through the motions, again. |

We'll be very lucky to finish 16th based on current performance |

Too many players not good enough for this level. Notwithstanding the injuries, I’d estimate almost half our squad is unproven in the Championship. That’s an unhealthy balance. |

The pre (Cock Tavern, St Pancras) and post (Stewart Arms) match drinks were good. Too many players not good enough for the level they’re playing at. Some might improve with more experience, but others aren’t going to make it. |

If he follows the trend of other players that have joined us, he’ll probably be a lot fitter than his team mates |

I noticed that too. Most away teams would have settled for a point at that stage, but they knew we were in big trouble. |

Thanks for posting this at a very difficult time for you and your family, Jonathan. Alan was one of the people you always saw at every game. It won’t be quite the same again. |

Thanks Clive, a very good report. I thought Walsh was very good, once he’d got past a couple of nervous early corners. We acquitted ourselves well, but didn’t defend either of their goals properly, which ultimately lead to our downfall. Enjoyed meeting up with friends, from West Ham as well as QPR. We had good seats, near the front of the top tier, but getting in and out of the stadium was beyond a joke. I suspect it won’t be quite as busy next season though! |

Yes, same with us. All tickets randomly sent to one of the travelling party, who didn’t actually book the tickets! |

This website is superb and the message board is the closest I get to social media. What sort of messed-up weirdo would you need to be, to even think about doing something like this, let alone taking the time and effort to actually do it. There must be a huge amount of personal or professional jealousy underpinning it. Very sad. |
 | Forum Reply | Where are the Coal Mines at 11:28 2 Jan 2026
Agree with this, but there were 7 changes from the previous game and the team never gelled. I accept we need to freshen things up, but it’s too many changes and straight down the spine of the team. Having said that, the players individually were poor. Maybe one or two getting more than a five? |
