Which is what Kone does every time he gets it. He’s the absolute antithesis of a hold up striker. |

I would like to see him control a ball occasionally. Touch of a trampoline. If he was 18 he could be considered young, but he’s 23 on his next birthday. Hardly a kid anymore. What do you think Guerdiola would get out of him exactly? He works hard, but achieves very little. Needs to operate much closer to the opposition box to get anything remotely useful out of him. Not helped by our non existent midfield and man/child wingers. Personally I would bench him until the return of Burrell, Chair and Poku. Offers nothing without the right type of support. Not really suited to chasing (and failing to catch) defenders for 90 minutes. |

Involved….doing what precisely?. He ambles around, can’t control a ball, never wins a header, loses it when he does get it. I don’t get the love for him. Literally no point passing to him. Not that anyone seems capable of actually passing the ball. Deeply depressing. |

Our front four consists of two midgets that get flattened as soon as they get the ball, a striker that can’t run or trap a ball and an ex Chelsea academy player with a good left peg, but hasn’t got an aggressive bone in his body. Add to that the two wall flowers in midfield and it is no wonder we are cannon fodder for most teams in this division in our current guise I think McClaren was right….we need a “team of men”, instead we have no choice but to throw on more kids like lambs to the slaughter. |

Or rather…another humiliating heavy defeat. This current line up will not win another game this season. Soft as putty in midfield and technically deficient up front. The development boys are absolutely miles off being ready for this division. Further humiliation to come and yet Cooke and JCS sit on the bench. Something is badly wrong with this club and JS is sinking in the quagmire. The list of methodology specialists quoted by Clive is an absolute disgrace. What an utter and complete waste of money. Sack the lot, bring Warnock in and see the difference in two weeks. The team looks devoid of confidence, belief and spirit. They are beaten before they step onto the pitch. We simply look broken and the fan base are going/have gone the same way. Apathy indeed. |

The season is done. Flip flops are on. The odd player coming back between now and season end is meaningless. Find something better to do until the World Cup, which is likely to be another farce of epic proportions. Depressing. Still. |

Watching football now bores the tits off me for most part. Endless pointless passing, shithousing, feigning injury, awful refereeing with VAR the cherry on top. Watching QPR and being emotionally invested just amplifies the pain. Unless things change, for the better, football may go the way our society seems to be heading. Depressing. |

Plenty of mistakes made last night, but this team is running on fumes, with a massively depleted squad that’s absolutely riddled with injuries that only seems to get worse every week.We ended the game with half the development squad on the pitch, barely out their footballing nappies. Southampton are chock full of quality and squad depth and should be right up there and probably will be come season end. We have to accept that another season of promise has been ruined, again, by an unacceptable incapacitation of the playing squad and not by a lack of effort from the few fit enough to turn up week in week out. It’s probably fair to say that Walsh hasn’t played anywhere near enough senior football matches in the last five years and should be further along in his development and that’s probably true for a few of our development squad. But they have been thrown in at the deep end are doing the best they can under the circumstances. There is potential in all of them, but the going will be hard at this level with their inexperience. The probable loss of Madsen only compounds our problems and the season is now likely over for us, so the focus absolutely needs to be on BW and so called conditioning team. This season has been nothing short of catastrophic. It needs to be significantly better next season. |

Been better than Kone. He has been awful. Said it before, can’t trap a ball, loses it constantly and slow as sludge. Utter donkey. |

That “smallest man on the pitch” just happened to be the best player on the pitch by a country mile. His pass for the first goal was sublime and undefendable. Massively surprised by Blackburn, they looked stronger, well drilled and definitely up for a battle to avoid relegation. By no means the worst team we have seen at our place this season. Anyone thinking we are good enough for a play off push with our current line up is kidding themselves. If we don’t get a few players back soon, we will continue to slide further down the table. Letting Field go was not a good decision. I like Vale, technically good, but very rarely seems to get on the ball, so his touch percentage must be well below average for someone playing in his position. |

Sam Field pulling the strings for Norwich just doesn’t feel right at all to me. It’s exactly what we need in our midfield. Madsen needs two players in there that can regain possession and provide him with the platform to perform. What was also concerning against Charlton, was the number of times Madsen was looking to play a forward pass and there was no one showing or making the runs, necessitating him to play backwards. A front 3 of Saito, Kone and Smyth just isn’t cutting it. Kolli and Bennie added much needed physicality when they came on. Saito and Smyth simply get bullied too easily. Whether or where Edwards plays is largely irrelevant for me, it’s who’s leading the line and whether they can hold the ball up and “get us the pitch”. That is our Achilles heel at the moment. 33 clearances by the Dunne/Cook barrier tells you everything. We clear it, it comes straight back. |

Willock now banging in the goals for Cardiff on a regular basis. Evidence would suggest a long recovery period for damaged hamstrings is a must, unfortunately. |
