Esther Rantzen RIP

She lived down the road from me. We often had her friends coming and staying at our B&B. She fronted some amazing safety campaigns, like make kids sit in a special car seat in the back.

I doubt they Will, when there will be little money left in the game. Sky wont be paying billions for TV rights.

I see Burnham 'really concerned' if Man City owners sell up after rule breaches

They are going to get off as they have Burnham in their pocket.

No chance with the strongly worded statement from the premiership last night. I would hope the police/tax department get involved as they have committed fraud.

Andy Burnham's speech
at 08:52 30 Sep 2026

I love watching clips of politicians when they are in opposition and then how they react when in government to the same situation. It tells you all you need to know.

Plenty of Labour (including Burnham) called for an election when the Torries were shuffling seats. Yet now they have the chance to do the right thing of course they dont.

There is literally no point in voting for any of them.

I think they will get kicked out of the premier league. Fair play to the league as they haven’t fudged this .

It’s not at as they were 2 different bands.

On the strength of Happy Birthday in the 80s, why as a youngster would I of gone and discovered his older stuff . It’s like give Lionel Ritchie the benefit of the doubt, if the first you heard of him was hello.

I only remember Stevie Wonder from the 80s, as the bloke that sung Happy Birthday. And for that reason I’m out.

He plays for a 3rd rate nation against other 3rd rate nations. So of course he will stand out.

The truth is in his first season he was poor, the 2nd season he was loaned out and the 3rd season he improved but wasn’t good enough to get in our starting 11 for the big games. What propelled him were some eye catching goals. but the truth is Tonda didn’t trust him to start in the big games.

We got an incredible fee for him, when you think what Everton paid for Hayden Hackney.

Proofs in the pudding. No assists or goals since he joined Everton and has 26mins of prem football this season. Maybe this is his launch pad , but from the outside it couldnt have gone much worse.

What a great footballing youth system that exists right now.
Man City and Chelsea buy up all the best 14/15 year olds for £1 mill (e.g Max Alleyne from Saints). Then give them a couple token appearances in the first team, before selling them for 15/20 mill. Saints developed Max Alleyne for 8 years before having him poached. Makes you think whats the point.

I can’t take Nick seriously anymore. He winds everyone with his click bait . To credit Downes with an assist, when he MIs kicks in front of an open goal is classic Nick bait. There is no way Nick really believes what he writes

Fantastic musician. Good luck to him as he recovers.
One of my friends had a stroke in their early 40s and unfortunately it was caught early enough.

You can tell Tall Pall was Nicks "Baz"!

I liked Tall Paul, thought he was decent at holding the ball up. When he had a manager that played his was he looked decent and would have netted double figures in a full season.
