I can't believe this is still going on. Have this 3 weeks of internationals before the season starts and start the domestic games later. Or the domestic games finish 3 weeks earlier and have it at the end.
People would be happy to watch internationals when everything else is finished. Having it after 6 weeks of the league restarting is incredibly annoying and boring . |

Yes and is selling things to yourself really that much better? It also separates clubs from their assets which is what the rules were supposed to prevent.
And since when is it not allowed to invest in a business? I can see City challenging the whole FFP rules under competition law. There is no way they are going to just back down and accept any punishment.
Crazy how Man Utd owners can extract as much money out of them as they can and leave the ground to rot no problemo, but actually investing in the club is not allowed. [Post edited 30 Sep 12:39]

If so how is this different to what Chelsea got caught doing and got almost no punishment? |

Would love a pint at the game, sadly everyone else would be allowed one too and a good percentage would act like morons.
There is a good reason it's allowed at rugby and cricket and not at football, although test matches seem to be going in that direction too in the last few years. |

The rabid hatred for some businessman who has done well for himself and points out some obvious problems is way over the top. The energy costs in this country are closing down industry due to net zero and other such nonsense.
And Cantona is a violent thug who jumped into the crowd to attack a fan and then played the race card afterwards to encourage Man Utd fans to attack and harass the victim for years afterwards. |

I watched his youtube goals in the Swiss league before we signed him and a lot were similar to that with him running through on goal with no one anywhere near him, then a bit of a poor touch but the keeper is too slow coming out and a bit crap so he scores anyway.
Having said that I think after paying all that money we should have given him a bit more of a go. |

Things have definitely gone to pot in the last decade.
We were just saying how things have got a bit crapper in almost every way. Drains are blocked for years, grass verges are a massive mess, roads falling to bits, rubbish and rats everywhere. And in general people are far more aggressive and selfish.

Damn, he was one of the greats, made defending look like an art. I used to love those Italian teams, they should have won Italia 90 and were the best team IMO.
A lot of Italian players seem to die young. |
