Agree, if I was JH I would have rolled the dice and kept Kemper on, he was having the game of his life against arguably the best player in the Championship. However, full credit to JH for the way he set the team up in the first place, the organisation at the back was magnificent. We dropped back into a back five when needed and the line was 100% perfect on almost every occasion. |

Reply | King Charles’ flying form foils West Ham – Report

Excellent report, but I am not sure the stadium is as bad as everybody says. I sat in a home area with a West Ham pal who kindly had a spare place. I think the problem is the not the stadium but more that the West Ham fans seem to have a collective sense of doom. Not helped by the fact that those who want to be more vocal are scattered too thinly like the Arsenal fans originally were at the Emirates. The home fans I spoke to were a pretty good bunch although totally disinterested in QPR and at first they all thought I was mad for putting a fiver on the Rs to win 2-O (which may have been the case if Kolli’s excellent effort had gone in and killed the game). From where I was, the Rs fans in the away end sounded in amazing voice, as usual, and did the team proud. The West Ham fans were all utterly demoralised by half time, it takes some doing to silence 59,000 people. Years ago a QPR mate got a slap from a West Ham skinhead at the Bush, hence I never thought I’d say this but I hope West Ham turn it around (but not too quickly). Their support runs through families for generations and the one thing they are not are glory hunters. Mind you, I’ll still be ripping the pee out of my West Ham mate on Monday for that bloody awful Bubbles dirge. [Post edited 10 Oct 19:49]

It is shite at the moment but it’s also become so bad that it’s comical. Better to laugh than cry. [Post edited 11 Mar 20:51]

The half time stats on the BBC website for tonight’s match are an embarrassment, not a single attack.
I say fly BMX Ben over and make him play in goal and see how he likes being humiliated between the sticks, week in and week out. |

Can’t fault the team for the spirit and effort. Kolli, Dunne, Cook and Walsh in particular. I watched on TNT and the Rs fans did us proud too, drowned out the home crowd for large chunks of the game.if Burrell and Chair were there I think we’d have won. [Post edited 11 Jan 18:04]

I like Frey, especially when he comes on as sub, full of energy and aggression. A real handful for defenders when he’s at his best. Didn’t he notch up nine goals last season, which is not to be sniffed at! |

Very impressed today with how well drilled the team were, keeping their shape in the first half while soaking up the pressure. I was among those sceptical of JS at first but today we looked well organised. As for Saito, well where do I start. Every defender’s nightmare and plays with a smile on his face, even when he was fouled. I liked JS’s post match interview too. Crowd was great, you can see the players love celebrating with the fans. Stoke looked totally dejected at the end, but had the good grace to shake hands after a very physical game. Good to see Gerry Francis and the 70s boys at half time. It’s early days, but let’s enjoy the moment. |

Woke up this morning with this running around in my head, with full respect to Oasis!
And so Chelsea can wait ..
It’s never too late,
To find a better place to play
Slip inside the eye of his mind
And Julien Stephan will find
A better way to play…
AND SO CHELSEA CAN WAIT!!
It’s never too late
To find a better place to play
SO DON’T FORGET WE’RE RANGERS!!
We’ll win today .. [Post edited 16 Jul 2025 7:17]

Jimmy deserves the armband, but no disrespect to Cook, who’s a great pro and will hopefully understand that we all want to see them playing side by side again as soon as possible. |
