First time in St.Marys for over 10 years. I was surprised by the empty seats, but considering the mitigating factors listed above i guess it makes sense. The crowd were indeed crap. Could not believe when people started leaving with around 5 mins to go, when the game was on a knife edge. The rousing chorus from the Northam in the dying minutes of injury time was amazing though, and visibly lifted the team. Pardon my ignorance (as i say, havent been for nearly 10 years) but what were they singing? |

We were largely utter tripe but we beat was was put in front of us (Christ knows how)... I guess thats all we can ask for at this stage. Scienza and Robinson decent. Bazunu pretty good for most of the match apart from (obviously) their goal and shortly afterwards, although he did regain confidence. The clear and obvious issue (other than having no sodding strikers) is the fact that every time we receive the ball we take it backwards and sideways. As soon as we can shake off this disease and start driving forward and creating opportunities we'll be ok - however.... we just dont have the players to do that - or if we do, theyve been so demoralised or poorly coached, we need a siesmic shift in our coaching and playing... |

Slack Jack doing his very best to let them back in though. Totally caught out of position then let the ball go under his foot ffs.... even a 2 goal cushion isnt enough for us.... |
