2 winners of the women's Euros who were both in the team of the tournament.
1 winner of the women's rugby world cup and in the the team od the tournament.
F1 World Champion
Completed the career grand slam and pair of an away winning Ryder Cup team
The youngest ever winner of the World Darts Championship.

How is this list woke?
Who would you swap out for who to make it less woke?

After Russia and Qatar I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised by anything FIFA do.

Imagine that 10 years ago, Russia, Qatar and the US in the same miserable sentence.

I also think that we’ve forgotten that for practically every ‘average’ person, anxiety it a perfectly normal emotion.

You should be able to say that without dismissing those for whom the condition is genuinely crippling.

I fear we’ve medicalised personality traits.

It’s a massive issue.

What about the 60% of peoples in receipt of UC who are in work?

Not disagreeing with you, but cost of living has put an extra dimension to things.

The £70k is possible but would need a set of really specific needs such as:

1. Exemption from the Benefit Cap: At least one adult or child receives a high-rate disability benefit (PIP/DLA).

2. High Need for Disability Benefits: Multiple family members (e.g., both parents and a child) receiving the highest rates of disability benefits (PIP/DLA).

3. Extremely High Housing Costs: The family lives in a very high-rent area, such as Central London, where the Housing Element of Universal Credit would be very high.

As I said, entirely possible but an exception.

I'd like to know how much the development of the club is bringing in.

It's a bit like the conversations we have about the airport, we know how much is going out but we need to know whats coming in to get a full picture,

How much?!
at 20:49 3 Dec 2025

Just bought 4 first class stamps (first time since goodness knows when) and it was £6.80! Or £1.70 each!

When on earth did this happen?

I’m not as ‘experienced’ as some the illustrious posters on here, but I can remember them being 18p in the late 80s

Out of curiosity, I looked that the Bank of England inflation calculator and if stamps had kept pace with inflation, it would bow cost 47p

How can Scotland afford this?

This is a bit different as essentially it's the Scotish government adding 10% to the teaching bill - it'll be a vast amount of money on top of what they're paying for free precriptions and for Scottish children going to unviversity.

I'd love to know how they're managing to fund it.

Forget whether you agree with it on not, how are they funding it along with free prescriptions and free university tuition?
