I try not to post on here after a game like yesterday... its a wonder I post at all as all our games are like yesterday...

In 13 days I have shipped the best part of 600 sovs watching this shower of sh!te...and possibly a day and a half of travelling and actually watching, and at my age that is serious time wasted... and it was wasted

I said on another thread that of all the injuries we have Madsen is going to affect us the most and since then in 3 games (counting Southampton) we have shipped 10 goals and not scored one.

I was expecting the usual backlash... but I could not believe this thread... someone giving Kone a tug...

To the OP have you been to any of these games last 3 games, or any before ? We are in serious danger of ruining this boys career!! And I'm not exaggerating in that... we are flogging him to death

I was watching him Saturday and I'm genuinely worried for him... he runs and puts himself about, as said on here without Madsen our attacking plan is lump it up and off you go Richard... and that is it.... he as no service, no support .... nothing, but the lad still tries and still puts himself about...

I have honestly come to the stage where I don't want to go anymore.. Birmingham/ Leicester absolutely no chance ...

If you honestly think the answer is Kone is no good, you are not asking the right question sorry

Ohhhh I like the cut of your jib young fella me lad.... the old he know, we know, they know ... reverse psychology....

Unfortunately... not a cat's chance....

Sitting in the car waiting to head over... and for the life of me I can't understand why...

Like this season... last Wednesdays sunshine and 17c as evaporated into a dark dismal Sunday afternoon.... and going to the ground is not going to be a warm fuzzy feeling

I can seriously see a right royal going over over and shipping 3 or 4 goals.. oh joy

As for the ream... Holloway's tombola was out and I have absolutely no idea who is fit, who is @rsed or who is on Expedia trying to cancel the Dubai summer detox....

Afraid 0-3 or 0-4....

Cricket 2026 County/International Thread
at 20:34 6 Mar 2026

Bethell was magnificent yesterday, and in patches we have looked good... Jack's with bot bat and ball... Curran his death bowling in that Nepal game... the Brooks hundred, but we are so inconsistent...

Sorry I know there are many that rate Brook, and he is a talent, but I just can't warm to the lad. I still felt he lost us a series win against India in the summer, he gets out, in all forms of cricket in the most horrendous fashion... and that drop yesterday was frankly appalling given the context of the match

As for Jos a fantastic servant for English white ball cricket perhaps the last vestige of the Great Morgan era, but he look finished in this tournament, I wonder if he as the same fight and will now. Be nice to think he could carry on, but I hope he doesn't in a way. I'd rather remember him for the great player he was

League Cup Winners 1967 - On this day
at 21:12 4 Mar 2026

There as a 12 year old.. my older brother who still goes, that is him coming upto 70 years a R. Our uncle and I think his friend??... we never talked about it in those days and friends his friends who always went

My brother walked from the Bush but my uncle and his friend took me in his car. I was so peed by that, my mum wouldn't let me walk it
.
The day honestly was a blur and i remember not seeing a great deal of the game as I was quite short at 12.

HT was horrendous I can remember my brother and his mate were really fed up, and my uncle saying let's just enjoy the day, we don't often get days like this, as long as we don't fold the 2nd half

I did manage to see Hunt marauding down the middle and then lost it in the penalty box.. an Lazarus head ... and then uproar totally uproar

Took me a few seconds to realise we had scored, and I just stood there and finally flung myself at my brother, who was crying.... never seen him cry before, which both scared me and made me love him even more

Then my uncle was lifting me up and hugging me, and he was crying ... and so I decided it was my turn... the sight and sounds of that day will never leave me... the pure high of joy and sharing that with my family was awesome

And that is it.. 59 years ago... Still waiting to win a cup again..

Has the game gone?
at 13:51 3 Mar 2026

Not sure if it is generational thing or not, or just the saturation that we now get

I remember as a young whippersnapper if I could not get away with us I would go to either Fulham or Brentford just to see a match... even a rare trip down to the Gills...

Now apart from us, I can't remember the last full match I watched. I caught the Arsenal v Scum and apart from the comic value these corner routines are just horrendous

Soon you won't need any talented players, any players like Marsh,Best, Bowles etc... just some big lumps that can score from corners or long throws...

Even kick off now is lump it up into the corner trying to get a long throw. It's more about attrition than talent

Something is fundamental wrong with Rangers!
at 21:56 1 Mar 2026

Think we basically still a young team and that team will have ups and downs... we are having more downs to be sure

2 games ago we went to the team who is 5th and won and won convincingly... and that team as gone on to win both there other 2 games this week

So for me it is far from all doom and gloom, except I chose the wrong games to go to.

Not sure who JS could have put at LB... perhaps Vale, or JCS? And his possible other choice is olying his trade at Norwich

He decided to go with the lad.... and as for Saito... not sure what the thinking is behind him

Yes we are struggling, I guess on many factors, but we know we can defend... we got 3 clean sheets in a row away from home recently....

Injuries have just about decimated us, and the Madsen one is by far the worse one. We have kids in the team that have literally played an handful of games... and are expected to be up to standard, sorry that is not possible.

They are kids and should be bedded in,not thrown in. He need to get to 50 points and then we can at least relax a little, and take some pressure off.

Get hopefully some of the players back before the end of the season

Three game week - the modern excuse
at 09:38 1 Mar 2026

Totally agree with the sentiments 3GW are part and parcel of this league

We can argue the semantics about 46 games ina season is far too much now. The game is faster, players are bigger, stronger and fitter, and so 46 games back in the day is totally different to 46 games now

But clubs are not going to agree to cutting down the size of the league, and lose revenue days.. so the slog will continue, and there the standard will be what is is now"slop"

Of course the clubs with better finance will be the winners... and now we are coming to the sharp end of the season, the bigger clubs are coming into their own. There are exceptions, Millwall, and even Hull, but they are exceptions

We have been really poor in our recruitment, and I guess we are a product of our finances. We can't afford the big athletic players, so we have gone for smaller, "ballers" .... which doesn't seem to work

The only thing I will say, is I think this year we have been on the end of many more 3GW where we are away for 2 of them ...and that can't be right, surely it should even itself out...

But bottom line our fitness levels are shocking, out non-performance department is a joke

Pony Up: Dunne's a Pro, Blades for show Fred

Here we are at home........and the game is finished after 30 mins as a contest.

Can't blame JS he must be wondering what on earth is going on here, we are absolutely abysmal.

Whoever told Saito he is a footballer, should be committed, he is past shocking. Varane I'm still trying to work out where he is playing and wherever it is, it's not working he is barely above Saito

And as I type this the boos ring out, and really, honestly it is about time, we are shocking and where do we go from here as a club

I knew it would be tough and I guessed we would be beaten, but the manner is now too much. Kone is possibly the only one that deserves not to be criticised, and deserves better

At half time here 50 points looks like a pipe dream

I doff my considerable cap to you Planet for taking up the gauntlet and starting the fred

There were serious questions being raised after Tuesday who was man enough to face the slings and arrows of outrageous fortunes... you sir are a gallant bedfellow

No Madsen..... 3rd game of the week... the pitch taking on the resemblance of no man's land at the Somme.... Holloway's tombola dusted off... and the walking wounded, fatigued and the down righted knackered, cowering in the corner dreading the fickle finger of fate. . "You're starting Saturday son"

So we go again .. result... mystic Meg could predict this... 0.-3 for the blades... and total collapse of the Nourry empire ensues....

But it is QPR... and so .... with that in mind 1-3.... Walsh with a 90 yard worldie....

Constant Calls for Changing Managers ad Infinitum

I think he is pretty secure as of today....and the injuries will be the deciding factor in keeping him

He is Nourry's man and Nourry is not going to sack him ........ yet

Think the bigger question is how much of this disaster is down to him. If he is a factor in it, then he really does deserve to go along with the non-performance team, no way you can label them performance!!

No if he as very little control over performance... then he might want to walk.... because if he isn't involved in the decision making, it must be pretty frustrating for him.

For now unless there is a major meltdown he will stay

Have a feeling that young Morgan will be sacrificed in the Madsen role on Saturday

When Madsen went off last night my nephew said.... should bring on Varane and move Vine to the Madsen role and shut up shop until HT to reasses where we go.. yeah right

So JS arm around young Morgans shoulder saying " Right Mon petite.... you have not played for yonks, our best player is, oh how you say sh@gged... go out there and make a name for yourself " or words to that affect

Expecting that lad to actually influence thr game under our circumstances is a criminal decision

Madsen hamstring
at 08:29 25 Feb 2026

Totally agree.. it is the modern game played so fast and so physically now

Which makes this recent injury so unbelievable. OK we can say say, pardon the pun, that injuries have "hamstringed" JS choices, but he as to contend with this and adapt

I was one of the few on here that wasn't too upset with the 3 x 0-0 bore fest, I kinda understand that, but what totally defies logic is playing players until they literally collapse

I went last night, and I had every expectation of us being beat, but you kinda hope that he would rest Kone, Madsen and even Dunne

We could have started Bennie for Kone, Varane for Madsen and JCS for Dunne.. stodge it up and even might have sneaked a draw...

But know we play the exact same team.... people are having a go at Dunne... and I can't get my head around it... yes he had a bad game.... but FFS the lad is dead on his feet.... like Kone is.... and now Madsen is....

I left after the 4th... and I'm old enough and ugly enough to shrug a shoulder and say well let's go again, it wasn't my first Shellacking, that was Man utd in 1968... and I'm guessing it won't be my last.

But what is p!ssing me off this morning it the club, not the players... the club have put these players in this position

Inadequate preparation, poor use of resources, poor management, playing and recruiting players not suited for this division... the list can go on and on...

Field...

The club and Nourry... well we assume it is Nourry.... seems to want to portray a ruthless streak... which is well and good, if it is successful... and not done to cut your nose off to spite your face

We have done this with Field and Nardi and in to an extent Kolli. The Walsh situation is farcical if it wasn't so serious... the pre season friendly against Castillion was enough for me to show he is not a very good keeper, but yet we still keep picking the lad, hanging him out to dry

Letting Field go to Norwich was just .... well in my mind crazy... a seasoned pro, never hardly injured, versatile and a decent holding midfielder... to a rival team... it is beyond belief....

OK he wanted more first team games, but every pro knows he is not automatically given starts, there are moments in your career when you are not utilised as much, but I'm guessing like Nardi he was perhaps overlooked.

My only post on here this morning said I'm worried about Madsen and Kone... and lo and behold we have lost Madsen possibly tmfor the rest of the season!!

FFS this is starting to really p!ss me off now. Was speaking to a lad who did Hull on Saturday and said they drove home but still didn't get back till late evening, and he was knackered... how do the players feel ?

We very nearly had Southampton for 25 mins... but to be honest never really tested the keeper.... it is all so flat

Damage limitation now... get Kone off... please JS.... and Bennie on..and I would also get Mbengue off as well

Getting ready to travel upto Slough and meet up with the family before we venture Southampton bound....

2nd game in 3 days for the players.. Hull and back and now on the road again...

Afraid I can't see past a defeat tonight... Inuries, tired legs I think will do for us

I would be more than happy with a 0-0 bore fest tonight... but what is more Important to me is resting Kone and Madsen

Think it will be 0-2, but no more injuries would be the positive
