There's another point I've seen made today that let's say QPR get to the Premier League, and let's say I as a fan want to give them £50m to put Loftforwords.co.uk as the front shirt sponsor (Patreon's had a good month). I'm not allowed to do it, because it's not "fair market rate". But if I want to give Man Utd £50m to put it on their shirt, that would be fine. |

We'd already had a week where Lamptey, Dunne, Kone, Chair and Smyth had all failed to last the first half of games (Dunne managed one minute after half time). I did say at the time I'd probably have gone for a downplay and "let's see how we do over the course of the season" than describing it as "sensational" and namechecking the whole performance department.
Where I do agree with him is that the schedule players have been put through to start this season is nutty and was always likely to lead to this. Millwall have got 13 out, Norwich are missing 12 including four picked up this break. Problem is this has been happening to us for three seasons now. |

He's just being a contrary fcker as usual.
If they'd found them not guilty he'd probably have come out as a whistleblower.
I remember this time last year when he was asked whether he'd manage them if they were relegated down the leagues and he said it would make him "more likely to stay" rather than less.

I've long said this about the total absence of players failing drug tests - it would damage the product.
In a world where there are drug cheats in golf, shooting, archery etc the idea that everybody is clean in an increasingly athletic and endurance-based sport like football is nuts. And yet apart from the odd dopey young lad with cocaine, nobody ever fails the tests. Because if they did, it would become like cycling, or Olympic sprinting, where every time somebody goes faster than ever before (or scores more goals) many people would just shrug and assume they're doped up to the eyeballs.
It's not a good product to sell to the public if the first assumption is it's all rigged/cheating. |

Sadly I think it's only going to increase the protectionism at the very top i.e. Man Utd, Liverpool and to a certain extent Arsenal. The clubs that get screwed on these things are the ones who try and challenge - City, Forest, Villa, even our good selves. |

I feel for the City fans that followed them all the way to the Second Division and sold it out v Macclesfield and things like that. They didn’t ask for it to become a Middle Eastern play thing and in my experience some of them felt v uncomfortable with it and some walked away entirely.
But the people whose kids are suddenly charging round Tooting Common in City shirts can get to fck. |

The story Birmingham are telling, for instance, has never added up to me. Again, a new and rich owner pumping money in claiming absolutely ridiculous levels of revenue to justify it. They've had one limited series doc appear on Amazon Prime, otherwise they're the same shtshow Championship club they've always been.
Wrexham - you can see it. Multiple Disney series, United Airlines sponsorships, US tours etc etc. Birmingham I've been wondering about for a while. |

Yeh. They didn't even say that about Paladini in the Faurlin case, who claimed to have a found a letter saying the whole thing was fine after all in the drawer of his desk about 20 minutes before the hearing. |
