The flu currently working its way through my household and yes, the worst part was the cough and the build up of phlegm. Continually felt like I was going to vomit because of the phlegm.
Getting over it now - last week was the worst of it for me.
When Brum equalised, I was just disappointed that we hadn't taken one of our other chances which would have made their goal nothing more than a consolation as I felt we deserved the win.
Great response from the team to go again and find the winner and the noise from the crowd was incredible!!
Verstappen is probably the quickest but he does have an advantage on being a one-man team. Everything is set up for him at Red Bull especially the way the car is built, which is why ever other driver struggles in the 2nd car.
Glad Mclaren won both championships as it's rare that a team successfully manages to allow both their drivers a shot at the title. If they had nominated a number 1 driver earlier in the season, they would have wrapped up the drivers title a lot sooner.
There were a few occasions when he gave West Brom free kicks for soft fouls and then didn't give us free kicks for worse fouls.
After we went 2-0 up, it felt like we went about 15 mins without being awarded a free kick. Typical Ward really, no idea what's going on and no feel for the game.
The pitch at Ewood does fall away sharply at the ends and the sides which you would think would help drainage but there is a river right next to the ground, so maybe a water table issue.
I read the article about how the draw will work - why do they make it so complicated. All the seeding stuff and then saying that 2 countries from the same federation can't be in the same group (apart form european teams) is complete b0ll0cks! just keep it simple, one team from each pot in each group and away you go.
It would be interesting to know how much it costs clubs to put on a midweek game, to see what size of crowd is the break-even point especially with the cost of electricity at the moment.
I do think this is an issue - it's noticeable that players like Kone and Saito, who joined us after a preseason elsewhere, looked much fitter when they first joined than they do now.
