QPR thrashed, Boro run riot, night follows day, bear seen heading for wood
at 21:57 9 Mar 2026

Similar to some of the comments above, I think I'm just depressed by the whole situation at the moment. Going to Leicester on Saturday and was planning on going to the away game at Preston too but don't know if I can be bothered.

Thing is apart from QPR and watching Wales, I don't really watch that much football anymore especially premier league - it's just not enjoyable.

I'm off to Leicester on Saturday with my son and daughter - it's her birthday and that's what she wants to do. No doubt we will have a good day (apart from the football part).

I'll take one for the team Boro Match thread!!!!

Boro are a good team and we aren't. Think the officials didn't realise they were allowed to give decisions against Boro, 1st goal handball, 2nd goal, should have been a goalkick not a corner.

Goals change games

In the end, India took a couple of good catches which along with Bumrah's bowling made the difference.

Totally agree with many of the posts especially the ones highlighting that Stephan's latest press conference sounds similar to the Cifuentes ones from the back end of last season. The structure/accountability doesn't seem to be working.

Three game week - the modern excuse

The relative strength of their squad (compared to ours) helped SU as did the fact that 2 of their 3 games were at home.

Some of the difference will be down to the fact that Sheff Utd have better players too. A quick look at a few of the transfer fees paid shows that.

Good to see no kit clash today against Sheff Utd with us in blue and white hoops and them in red and white stripes

Our ‘goal’ today….why was it disallowed?
at 19:12 28 Feb 2026

Smyth was tight on the keeper when the corner was taken but at this point, not offside. At the point Kone heads the ball, Smyth is in an offside position. The lino thinks that he is impeding the keeper at this point (I don't think he is) and flags.

If he is interfering then probably a third of goals from corners should be disallowed. You just know we will concede the same corner in the next few games. Frustrating

If we did drop Butler, who would keep wicket? Do we have another keeper in the squad? (genuine question as I don't know)

I get starting Esquerdinha as we don't really have anyone else to play at left back, with RND not eligible today and Field out on loan. Don't think Vale is the answer as he struggled there as well. Smyth starting might have been an option, given that he came on at half time anyway.

Saito is a shadow on the player he can be and maybe coming on from the bench might be better for him. However, the injuries and a few players out of form is making it difficult for the manager although with the number of fit centrebacks we now have, maybe a different formation at the back or 3 in midfield with maybe Edwards pushing forwards should be tried.

Rest of the Championship thread 25/26

Field has played 6 games since joining Norwich - they have won 5 and lost 1 of those games. He's started 4 games (415 mins in total). Seems to have fitted in very well for them.

Hopefully, assuming we do sell, his potential value will be on the rise.

2 of the subs came on at half-time which isn't counted as a sub moment. So the other 3 subs moments are ok.

I was watching on tv and there were several occasions where it was difficult to distinguish the two teams.

"....but I don’t think Dykes, Kelman and Armstrong were worth what we sold them for.... "

From the recent accounts, it doesn't look like we got as much for Dykes and Armstrong as was rumoured when they were sold.

Constant Calls for Changing Managers ad Infinitum
at 16:37 26 Feb 2026

Both Stephan and Cifuentes before him have done a reasonable job in difficult circumstances (smallish squad with key players continually injured).

Can't see any point changing the manager again when our main issue seems to be fitness/injury and availability which isn't down to the manager.

Can we treat him like an old car and break him up for parts which we can use to repair some of the other members of our squad......??
