The time he totally bossed Fashanu out of the game was incredible. With no Macca starting, Fash must have thought he was quids in, the geezer didn't get a sniff! |

Paul did a forward for my tome, as I used to meet him a lot when I lived out in that part of the world and he was working for Star TV. Paul frequently attended Singapore Rs events and is genuinely, one of the nicest blokes you'll ever meet! |

Cook goes at the end of the season and I would be surprised to the point of being shocked, if we retained JCS. If it were possible and financially feasible to add his wages to the budget, then I'd get Ronnie in asap to allow us to handle the departees in June. |

I just read, it was a father and son pairing who went on the rampage! Given how unhinged the world is, it never ceases to amaze me how these things are facilitated by easy access to guns. |

I disagree, fella. Save if it's totally necessary, you have to try and keep these people alive to find out what, why, and who radicalised them; how they were armed and even funded, and msybe, if they know when the next one is planned. Gathering such intel may well provide insights into networks etc. that if infiltrated, could foil future plots and save many more lives. The bloke who apprehended the (better say alleged) shooter, bravery above and beyond. I read a book a while about a 'have a go hero' whose life changed and not for the best. Hope that doesn't happen here. |

Thought Boro looked very good and thoroughly deserved their three points; no shame in that. We made a few errors that were costly, but could have brought it back to 3-2 if we had a bit more composure. However, our performance was streets ahead of the Coventry debacle, in a week we hit 6th! We were right to blow a gasket after the way we started, especially as we looked way off it. Accordingly, it's only right to acknowledge how well things have improved in the interim, aware that we've still got room to improve on those things under our control. We are way off competing with half the teams in this league on an equal footing, so if anyone is getting narked about losing yesterday given all the variables in play, then give your head a wobble. We're doing ok! |
 | Forum Reply | QPR in Reykjavik in 1984- UEFA Cup at 05:29 14 Dec 2025
The lads I sat with at the time and I, wanted to go, but as we were either 6th form/just started working and never went with the official QPR, the cost was a problem. It was either the late George Gristwood or his son Danny, who informed me that there was a travel agent in West Ealing who people were talking to and as I had a pre-uni summer job in Ealing, I was tasked with getting the details. I walked in on my lunchour and after saying I wanted to be in Reykjavik for whatever Wednesday it was, the agent said, Are you a QPR supporter?' Turned out I was the third one to inquire just on that day! The cheapest option: train to Aberdeen and take a boat that took, IIRC, two and a half days to get there with an ETA of around an hour before k.o.. Upon doing so, the boat would do a turnaround and after completing formalities, it headed back to Aberdeen. At the very best, the turnaround might take three hours! If we didn't make it back, then we'd have to wait several days for her return to see if we could get on! Amazingly, we debated for a few days the merits of seeing, at best, 45 mins of QPR, always assuming good sailing there, before sense finally prevailed. Top-top OP by the way. |

I'd love to see the world through his eyes for a day. Not sure I'd last, to be fair. When he scores for us, it's going off the richter scale of nuttiness. Utter loon, but he's our utter loon...he must have been a real challenge for Ma and Pa Mbengue to keep him occupied as a kid! |
 | Forum Reply | Alfie Lloyd at 12:54 12 Dec 2025
Aside of that absolute worldy he scored up at Hillsborough last season, he's not really done anything. I'd leave him where he is to see if he can actually get into the Orient side and get among the goals. As said above, getting Kolli back into the fold would be more preferable. That said, Lloydy would offer more than Frey. |

Knowing a spike was coming, I added a pneumonia jab to my yearly flu and since 2020, C19 jabs. Vaccines are not always 100% successful, but history suggests many diseases are held at significantly at bay by maximum vaccination. Also, while solid advice on vits C, D and a diet centered on a wide variety of plant based food, these should be consumed not as a quick fix but rather, a diet that is your norm. |

I suspect Rory McElroy wins on the basis that it was a victory that irked Mango Musolini; he overcame a lot of nonsense from the Septics; and the Irish, Welsh, and especially the Scots, ain't going to vote for something that glorifies a fine sassanach victory. I also suspect Sarina will pip Paul Furlong for coach of the year. |
