Would a newby be a booby ? Match thread
at 17:20 24 Jan 2026

I was never happy with the title of this Fred. I think it set the tone from which naivety flowed.

Yet again I feel the need to fire up the searchlight with the S symbol to illuminate the skies over Spain and summon up: Spaceman_P. Again!!

Muchacho we need you!

Stupid booking has put him in this position.

Really need to start passing to each other and not giving it away as cheaply as we are.

While I think his basic football skills have been poor for a while now, I still remain of the view: feed the Kone a bone and he will score (just don't ask him to do much more than that currently)!

Dembele the jury very much out for me, and I'd take a 10-2 decision in the absence of a unanimous one. Clearly something there, but it all seems to be when 'he' remembers to do it...if you know what I mean?

Like to see a bloody good shift out of them and support to match from teammates and Rfosi alike.

Film 2026; don't think we have such a thread yet

Given their longstanding M.O. of poisoning their opponents, whereever they are, that was the first thing I said!

Stowmarket will be along shortly.

He took a load off me last year. I was glad to send them to a good place as opposed to the recycling bin. Like you, kept a few sentimental ones, but a real trip down memory lane going through the rest.

Mr. Nobody Against Putin.

Mrs PH is heavily involved with a political film festival we have in town. She's on the selection committee that recommends film to be shown, and has been raving about it since considering it mknths ago. She interviewed the film maker and by all accounts, he's a diamond.

The film has just been nominated for an Oscar.

Not sure if it's obscure, but heavily played during my days in Oz back in the 90s.

I'd be sad to see him go.

He always shows up, puts a shift in, and often during the mire, he has stood out. He's the right sort, and Lord knows we could have done with more of his type over the years!

VAR in the EFL

I think we should allow it.

Then, once we've made the decision, send that up to VAR for review. It'll take them f.....g eons and It'll never come in. In fact, by the time they've determined it, we'll be looking at plans to move further west from the stadium in Greenford we moved to in 2037!

Well, bearing in mind that a oiseau in the hand is worth two in Shepherds Bush, should there be interested parties, then everything is negotiable. Everything.

I go back to 'that' interview at the start of the season in Girona. It was an incredible watch, was surprised he did it and we showed it. Several months on, you can only give credit to all concerned for his improvement.

In fact, you'd go as far as to suggest that if everything in front of him is on it, then he'll play better and so will they. However, our attacking players of late (LCFC first half aside) have looked decidedly ropey.

I know he's 6'4",but that's a tall ask to expect a bloke with a handful of games off Lincoln City's bench, to walk into QPR's set up and fill the Buzz-void.

Personally, I think we need to see a huge uptick in our ability to hold the ball up in the final third and thereafter, do something with it. Currently the back five and midfield two are doing a good job and keeping us in it.
