Always happens this time of year - there is a bit of a run on stock as everyone rushes to spend their leftover cash and the shop don't reorder stock with next seasons gear about to come in. Went down there earlier this week and they barely had a pair of socks. The retro kits are still available though. |

Clint Hill and Damien Delaney? Do they not count? Both more typically CBs but played LB for us. |

Nardi has been very good this season, but it does make me question the long-term succession planning at the club. Would it have made more sense in the long run to bring in another stop-gap in the Begovic mold, just less fat and shit, for 12 months while integrating Walsh into the first XI? |

It is possible that a lot of the first team boys like Morgan and Kolli may have had holidays booked already, so could be off on them rather than hanging around for this. Would love them to hang around and compete, but they don't get masses of time off before pre-season so some of them may have jetted off already. |

I think this hits the nail on the head. We had started absolutely tanking while he was still here, well before Critchley came in. He did have Chris Willock playing out of his skin, but he also somewhat fvcked his career (although CW & Mr Willock can take some responsibility for this also) by rushing him back and blowing up his hamstrings. Sunderland and Rangers showed him up to be a pretty poor manager all in all, one brief purple patch with us aside. He can go swivel |

Maybe this was the tactic all along? Our policy of signing 5ft technical 'ballers' make a lot more sense |

I hear Ancelotti is leaving Madrid. You think he's worth a call as well? |

When I changed from Danny Shittu to Dom Ball it took months before it changed over properly. Think the website is just a bit ropey at times. |

Congratulations both! I had my first in August and it's been a hell of a ride - those first few days and weeks are incredibly special, as everything outside of your new family melts away and you get to be solely focussed on your beautiful daughter. 9 months on, I've come to realise everything is just a phase. They'll go from being awake every 2 hours and you think it's never going to end, to sleeping 11 hours through the night. From cluster feeding (look it up, nobody ever tells you about it) to hunger strikes. You'll cope with it all and become better parents and people for it. Best of luck! |

Rumour has it he's still somewhere near the outer reaches of the Northern line, working his way through a never-ending crate of Peroni |

Describing Ainsworth as a holiday romance is generous. Felt more like being sexually assaulted in the changing room at Center Parcs by a family friend you used to look up to. |

Was planning on streaming this, but £3 for an U21 game seems a bit tight so will follow on twitter. Imagine there's a behind doors friendly going on with the first team, as a lot of players missing. Sutton, Petrie, etc. From this squad, Wiles is an u16, Cuthbert hasn't played at this level before. Luke O'Brien, the new CAM we signed from Hereford, looks decent. |

Putting that one down to injury, after he came off at halftime against Brugge in the week. |

Ye, really poor. Adam Wharton, Elliot Anderson, and Morgan Gibbs-White (albeit a more attacking player) all overlooked for Henderson. Sends the wrong message. |

That's an interesting point, and does seem to be backed up by the (limited) studies on the subject - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22697802/. Does look like it leads to an increase in non-contact and overuse injuries. This study took place in Tunisia however where training was shifted to 22:00 to allow the players to break fast. It would be interesting to see whether this was replicated in the UK where players play whilst fasting, and to what extent. |

Polling consistently shows ULEZ is a popular policy across residents of both inner and outer London. It's exceeded targets in reducing pollution and led to significantly cleaner air, improving the quality of life for Londoners. The main opposition comes from people who don't live in London but drive in for other reasons - should their concerns be put ahead of actual residents? Of course not. The ludicrous cost and poor standard of public transport in this country is another issue altogether, but I absolutely agree it needs to be reined in and reduced if we are going to encourage people to leave their cars at home. Start by taking it into public control and stop companies skimming off the top while services decline. [Post edited 13 Mar 15:51]

Bizarre that we gave him a contract in the summer though - hardly points to much joined up thinking, immediately bombed out the squad and loaned to a second division Swedish side. |
