Toronto is a nice place, seems a lovely clean city and a lot less violent or dangerous than most Cities in the World of that size, Niagara Falls is spectacular, staying on the Candadian side seems better than the USA one. I went to Toronto in 2010, whilst I was there I saw Toronto play New England Revolution, Toronto were a fairly new team then and the fans wanted a club that was more English than the other teams in the MLS, hence just Toronto FC and not Toronto Mounties or similar, plain red kit and for some bizarre reason a food outlet that sold Chip Butties. Berlin is perhaps my favourite capital city in Europe, certainly in the top 3. |

Philadelphia is a lovely place, at least in the centre and edges of the centre, but fairly quickly you get into some really bad areas. Some of them had old style terraced houses that were back to back, a little bit like Leeds funnily enough, some of those areas were almost wastelands But the centre is a great place to visit including the home of the Philly Cheese Steak, the origin of which is hotly disputed by two establishments opposite each other |

Been to the Anne Frank house a few times, when i first went about 30 years ago it was easy to get in and walk around, now its more hectic and you have to book, but last time i went its a place you could walk around at your leisure and reflect on what happened there and the wider picture of Nazi occupation, its a sombre walk around, I would hate to think they herded people around given it's past and how the occupants left that house |

Forget the obvious destinations such as New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Rome, Prague, Amsterdam, Barcelona etc, all places I have been and liked (Well not Paris) where have you been that not many chose to visit 1. Chicago- My favourite city in America, much better than New York it is sport and music crazy and has some real iconic buildings as well. 2. Shanghai- A city of two halves one part Chinese and the other like New York, again a great City to wander around and take in the different vibes 3. Hamburg- Like Chicago gritty and they like a bit of football and music |

I would go for Slade , the original line up is still all alive, if they did one last massive gig then it is giving the fans what they want. It always makes me a little sad that some artistes see themselves above playing with their ex bandmates again. One particular one that grinds with me is Paul Weller, broke up the Jam at their height as he wanted to get all arty farty with the Style Council, refusing to play Jam songs live etc. When that all went pear shaped he did put the Jam songs back in his solo sets and he got back to the top in the 1990's. But although he plays Jam songs in his set he refused to play a Jam reformation gig, even though his two former bandmates could have probably have done with the money, haughtily declaring that he is all about the present not the past (Still plays the Jam songs at gigs though to ensure he get the crowds in) |

Whilst I would agree with your comments in general, all joking side i would also point out that if you took any football club in the top two divisions from 40 years ago and compared it to now, most would be totally unrecognisable both in terms of their stadiums and who owned them |

I had a look at his stats to see if I was wrong after all it was 16 years ago. I don't think I was he started just 14 games yet managed to complete just 2 and he came on as a sub 14 times, total of 1.216 minutes football. In one of those starts, a defeat at Wycombe he was taken off after just 34 minutes. Yes he was unplayable at times I suppose that is why Pardew didn't pay him much. He improved in the last month of his stay as I said he scored 3 goals and got 1 assist, his only contributions in the League that season all coming in the last 7 games in the final month of the season. He was better in cup games for some reason and that is perhaps why he is remembered fondly for a goal and an assist at Wembley in the JPT final. After he left he did little of note for a couple of years, his career only taking off in 2014 |

Driving depends on what direction you are in and where you park, If i do have to go home after a match, I'm heading down Millbrook Road, I park by Bedford Place and if the match finishes at 5 i'm back at the car by 5.20 and usually going past the M27 roundabout at 5.45, I don't live 30 miles away, but I would say that you can get to Bournemouth & Basingstoke from there in 40 mins. The train station is not that much further than a mile and there are buses. The issue with no train station at the ground is cost, originally due to backhanders to train platform builders the cost was astronomical 25 years ago when the ground was being built, now its cheaper but it is about logisitcs. You can only get a train down that line that comes from the North ie London direction, so if you schedule a train down from there you are isolating those that will get it, ie those that want to travel down to Southampton & beyond. You cant send a train from Southampton Central to the branch line as the old Spur that used to be there closed in 1966 in the Beeching cuts and is now filled in. So if you had a train from Central Station it would have to go past the turning and then be redirected back, that is time consuming given the amount of trains that pass by in a short period of time that would be delayed to do this Just about the only real option would be to run a shuttle service from Parkway up and back, but again it is costly to do that and when you add on building the platform etc and the numbers that would use it not viable |

Maybe Leicesters can compare, but not the rest. Up front we have 3 strikers capable of a a goal every 2.5 games not many squads have that. In the centre of the midfield we have Shea Charles player of the year at Sheffield Wednesday last season, we have Flynn Downes a vital part of the promotion squad last year, we have Finn Azaz a player who was the most highly rated player in the Championship for the last 3 years, we also have Caspar Jander a decent looking signing. Out wide we have Ryan Fraser who is still good, we have Tom Fellows again a highly respected player at this level, we have Leo Scienza whom the jury is out, we also have Jay Robinson who Still doesnt know where to play who for one reason or another is getting little game time at present. At the back we have Taylor Harwood Bellis who scored for England this time last year who cant get in the side, we have Ronnie Edwards, a revelation at this level for QPR last season, Nathan Wood a solid player at this level and Quarshie, whose distribution in the early games perhaps got him more criticism than he deserved, even Captain Jack who would get in some Championship sides. At full back Manning is experienced at this level and we signed two experienced Danish Internationals who both cant get in the side, whats going on there. Even in goal we have two keeper who whatever you think got us over the line two years ago. Then there is Sam Edozie & Joe Aribo, why are they not getting a game ? This is a big squad with when compared to most of the other sides some quality in it, so what is going wrong ? |

Fonte only came in the January but drastically improved the squad. Antonio scored at Wembley in the JPT, but in the League was a bit of a disaster, he started just 14 games plus another 14 off the bench , for most of the season he was not great. He scored 3 goals in the last 5 games, these were the only goals he scored in the League, he was young and raw his career never really took off till he went to Sheffield Wednesday in 2012 on a free transfer, Forest signed him for £1.5 million and after a year sold him to West Ham in 2015 for £7 million there he truly blossomed. When you look that we used 38 players that season, about 5 key players held the team together but struggled due to those around them, other regulars included. Lloyd James 30 League games Papa Waigo 35 Paul Wotton 26 Jon Otsembor 19 Neil Trotman 18 Lee Barnard 20 Joseph Mills 16 We had a decent 6 a side team, but a poor squad |

If we had gone to Stoneham the nearest station was Parkway, the access by walking was not that good, no real footpaths and so quite dangerous. There would not have been enough parking and that there was would have all had to funnel out of Stoneham Lane and in one direction to the motorway. it would have been gridlock. St Mary's has fairly good access when compared to most grounds in the Premier League and a fair few in the Championship, try parking near Anfield, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham, Man Utd and it's difficult, queues at train and underground stations are massive and in the case of Anfield miles from the ground. Stoneham was not the right place for a football stadium, yes it was near a motorway but the area around it didn't allow for smooth access to and from the stadium. |

I am saying that in the context of the Championship, if you look at the quality and Quantity of our squad it should be walking this division |

I wouldnt go with Wilder, yes he has got Sheffield United promoted, but has not done well anywhere else when he was at Middlesbrough he was sacked after 11 games with the club in the bottom 3 three years ago. I am not sure he is familiar with the club, he left in 1986 and I don't think he has been back much since, in the near on 40 years since he left without getting near the first team, the club is now unrecognisable, we have moved grounds, had multiple changes of ownership etc. Volatile managers don't usually work unless they are truly top knotch and winning things, otherwise they usually flit from club to club because either the players have got fed up with being abused or the owner has got fed up. Managers have to be diplomats, they have to juggle keeping a big playing squad happy with keeping the owners happy, if a manager doesn't suck up to the owner then he won't be there very long unless they are winning things, they create friction not unity. |

We need a leader and organiser in the centre of our defence, we get one of those and we stop conceding silly goals and the problem is solved |

1. There is very little around the ground for pre match, two pubs, one which was home fans only and another which was packed with Saints fans, it shows that we dodged a bullet with trying to build a ground at Stoneham in the 1990's 2. I didn't think the atmosphere in the home ends was as good as it used to be, perhaps because the drummer wasn't as prevalent as it used to be. 3. It was easy to park, they had a free area for the coaches and mini buses. 4. They had run out of food by half time 5. Why do Derby people call each other Mi Duck |
