Playoff positions to be extended to 7 & 8th place
at 12:08 5 Mar 2026

I like the National League playoff structure. I’ve heard fans of the teams who finish second and third say that they’re disadvantaged by not playing while the 4 teams below them battle it out to play them.

In the Championship, the teams finishing third and fourth should play 1 game at home to get to the final. The downside is that they wouldn’t have played for however long.

What can we learn from Millwall?
at 10:52 23 Feb 2026

Seeing that Millwall are third in the Championship, and are not too far away from the top two, what can we learn from the way they’re doing things?

Is their recruitment better than ours?

Is their style of play better than ours?

Is their management structure better than ours?

Which begs the question, what can we do differently?

Love Twix and Galaxy.

When I was a kid, I loved the chocolate tools which were 1 or 2p each. 😋

We’re in good hands.

Still píssed off with how yesterday panned out, but one thing I’m delighted about is the amount of youngsters who now watch us play.

I remember about 10 years ago chatting to a few mates about where our next generation of fans were coming from as we had an ageing fan base.

We’re selling out home games now even though we’re hardly ripping up trees. The amount of youngsters attending our matches is amazing.

We’re in good hands for the future.

100% down to both Mbengue and the manager. That was one of the most brain dead challenges I’ve seen. He should’ve been subbed.

When we signed him on loan last season, a Barnet mate at work said RE was a great signing, albeit on loan, and he said he’ll go to the top and will definitely play for England.

Yes, I’m excited about this if we sign him.

West Ham tickets

5 tickets were sent to me. I’ve just forwarded each email to the relevant people.

Why is it made so difficult to attend a bloody game in 2026?

Subbing a Goalkeeper - Why is it only done for Injuries ??

I’d say the reason for not subbing them is if something should happen to the goalie coming on. You then wouldn’t have a replacement on the bench.

The best football played by QPR.
at 19:29 16 Dec 2025

Following on from the worst football played by QPR, how about the best?

One that springs to mind was Wolves at home on a bank holiday Monday in 97 or 98 I think.
The first half we was on fire. We were 2-0 up, but it should’ve been 5-0.

Wolves were flying at the time, and we were destroying them. Then they made a tactical change, and allowed them back into the match. It finished 2-2.

Full strength side for West Ham

I’m all for putting out our best team for this match, but what will happen if we have a good run of results in the league beforehand, and we’re in a playoff place, or 1 or 2 points away from them?

Like it or not, the owners or the manager won’t be bothered about the FA Cup.

That’s what he does nearly every bloody game anyway.

Where are we going to finish this season?
at 10:41 2 Dec 2025

I voted 12-18th as the manager makes too many changes game to game.

If he settled on a main starting XI, with the odd tweak here and there, we could even push for a playoff place as the league is crazy this season.

World Cup draw.
at 10:22 26 Nov 2025

I see the World Cup draw is going to use the tennis seeding system for next year’s tournament.

So England can’t meet Spain or Argentina until at least the semi final stage, and can’t meet France until the final.

With Spain and Argentina being one & two in the rankings, they’ll be put into opposite sides of the draw. France & England being three & four in the rankings, they’re also into opposite sides of the draw.

What odds on all four being in the semifinals?

Hi Pat, I’m delighted for all the Irish Rs on here. I didn’t see the match as I was working, but I was keeping up with the score. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it was 2-3 to Ireland.
I saw the video of the last couple of minutes from the RTE commentary. Fantastic scenes.

I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that they can join England in the World Cup.

I was chatting to a manager at work about the upcoming budget this month. This manager is convinced that owners of electric cars are going to have to pay 2p per mile to drive their cars after the budget.

Well said mate. I haven’t seen anything from the so called far right personalities in the media regarding wearing a poppy.

I work on the Underground, and I was added to a whatsapp group which was for drivers who were members of my union. Every year without fail around this time of year, it was anti poppy diatribe. It got to the point that I had to leave the group a few years back.
