Ultimately, he's ranked 13th in the league for clean sheets if I am reading that correctly on less appearances than some of those higher up
The stats can be deciphered in different ways but I'm sorry he is a solid average championship keeper and for the most part he had done a good job. Is there better out there? Of course but there is also a WHOLE lot worse and we have witnessed it recently |

I think having seen opposition keepers last night, and the keeper on Saturday, Nardi is just fine for us
Is he premiership quality? No
Is he Championship quality? Yes and has made vital saves over the last few months - Rather him than Walsh I am afraid to say |

It is a complete joke that we have taken him - People like Woakes and other solid bowlers must be sat at home thinking what a f**king shambles we are currently
On page 3 of this very thread I predicted that we would regret taking him - Sadly on this occasion proved right |

Sadly - People get off on knocking our champions
Not since Prost/Senna have 2 teammates had equal status (although Prost would have you believe otherwise) and again not since those 2 have teammates been fighting for the trophy at the last race.
I respect McClaren for the minimum team orders and never leaned towards either driver. Oscar will have his day of that I am sure of, but for now, I'm with you, lets enjoy Lando's moment of glory |

I called that on the match thread as soon as it happened and I have seen several replays and my opinion has definitely not changed
A very frustrating ref but we continue to win with him officiating so cant be all bad |

We dont have a spinner is quite simple really
We play red ball in April and September, you wont find much spinning then
Thats why any decent spinners we have are all white ball players |

I am sure his performance yesterday has been mentioned in earlier threads but yesterdays performance was outstanding and deserves a thread of its own. We know he has it in his locker but this season he has been very much on edge (as have we all when he fails to command his box)
However, and even the manager mentioned it, he made some key saves yesterday that could easily have flipped the game on its head had he not made them. He also made a very commanding punch in the box and was good to see JCS and Jimmy go over and say well done.
I don't think he was at fault for their goal but there are people better placed than me to comment on that. Hopefully that will boost his confidence and he can build on it over the Christmas period.
On a side note, our defence looked more comfortable with JCS returning but that's for another discussion. |

This first paragraph is perfect sense and its hardly rocket science. Block anything that may hint at a wicket and make the bowlers rethink. Any cricket fan and even amateur player knows it. I had it drilled into me at school.
I am seriously done with this team in truth. When I got up and saw that Jacks and Stokes had hung around for a session, my opinion slightly changed. But all we had to do was hang around till the last session and THEN have a bowl at them. Oh no, Atkinson (who we know can bat) decided he wasn't up for that.
But I stand by my earlier thoughts. We lost this due to poor bowling and even worse poor fielding. At this standard you cannot drop 5 regulation catches in one innings and expect to win the match.
And I have just read what Ted posted from McCullum, overtrained my arse!! Complete T**t that bloke (Brendon not Ted) |
