Same
Good thing about there was you could have a smoke outside, and then go over the road and collect a kebab wrapped in Naan bread and bring it back in... Got wasted in there after the Leeds game |

We were chatting about that our last home game down at Canterbury. We seem to constantly sign overseas bowlers and never a batsman. Yet we have plenty of bowlers but echoes of QPR we are constantly rotating them
Anyway, hopefully Middlesex will knock off these 133 runs today and we can sit back and enjoy the promotion... That said, its not started well at time of going to press!! |

The irony is not lost on me that we are discussing the fact that JCS has played enough games this season to manage to pick up 4 bookings
Good for him |

Kent CCC - No secret is it
Lewis Hamilton - Love F1
Welling Utd FC - My non league love
WRC - Would go all over to see this if I had the funds
Elena Rybakina - Followed her since she won Wimbledon in 2022. Humble and not like the others |

I think you mean Higgins
My take is that Holden and Higgins are the backbone of that team and as you mentioned Roland-Jones seems to have been there in that team forever
Good to see Kent going about their business quietly and maybe a rarity of a batting point or two. Compton has been pony all season long and finally looks like he is stringing together a decent innings. I remember walking around the St Lawrence with him and he shocked me when he started 'vaping' - I mean is that healthy for a professional sportsman??
Post lunch perhaps Middlesex could grab a few wickets, would be nice |

And also, I am struggling to get my head around the public transport malarkey
I have read, that if you use the SAME card to touch in and touch out etc, once you do 12 journeys or $35 then it is capped for a week. I believe its OMNY - Is this correct or am I misunderstanding it

As part of her running the NYC marathon we have been offered discount tickets to the following places:
American Museum of Natural History
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt (At sunset)
9/11 Memorial & Museum
Brooklyn Nets (Basketball)
Bronx Zoo Holiday Lights
Rosa Mexicano (Restaurant I assume)
New York Islanders (Ice Hockey)
Some of these are discounts, some free tickets. For those that know NYC well, are any worth doing? Not seem them recommended above which suggests not (Apart from SUMMIT One Vanderbilt) [Post edited 25 Sep 12:46]

Some excellent advice here
Thank you all so much
L Block, all your recommendations are on the door step of our hotel at Grand Central so I will be trying some of those steak places as one of my favourite foods
We visited in 2002 and I have to say I wasn't a fan of NYC. But it was in a mess for obvious reasons and locals were not ready for outsiders. Hopefully it has changed because we are looking forward to going |

Middlesex as we know bat deep so hopefully will get a nice lead
I would still prefer we win on merit and not rely on other results.
C'mon the Spitfires
P.S - Us members have been ranting about Grant Stewart getting his county cap. Taken way too long. He's been with the club nearly 10 years now. Disgraceful he has waited that long |
