I believe it was what they call "limbs". |

Its not even close, different class. I've several times sent his reports to non QPR acquaintances just so they get to see how good he is. |

Yes I remember this and the Loft remembered amid the celebrations to sing a very loud chorus of "boring, boring Norwich" as they left the field at the end. One of the most frustrating games I ever attended. |

Reading away with 10 men for me. Knew it was going to happen after that. |

One or two vlogs from the away end to be found on youtube, recommended. |

Only marginally less surprising than a JCS injury. Lets take the most injury prone bloke ever on the most difficult tour when he's in his mid 30s, what could possibly go wrong? |

I remember a few years back he was being a really nasty piece of work on facebook, including threatening people with violence. |

The good thing about this draw is I'll be nearly as close to the pitch as those who go to the game. |

As a veteran of seeing poor and/or underprepared English teams arrive here its going pretty much as expected. I haven't watched any of it, as I've long since grown tired of the media crap around England tours so am giving the whole thing a large swerve. Far easier in this modern day of Netflix and endless other online and VPN assisted things to watch. There has been one ashes away series win since 2001 and that was England here in 2010/11 when they unexpectedly spanked the Aussies handing them 3 innings defeats and declaring at 517/1 in a drawn game, so it isn't just us who don't travel that well. Although the Aussies at least do win games in England even if they don't win the series. We really should have won the last home series 4-1 and would have won 3-2 but for two days of rain in Manchester. Genuinely fancy us to win the next home series too, as their bowling attack is showing signs (which we've completely failed to capitalise on) of father time catching up and the next generation don't look that flash. |
 | Forum Reply | "That" press for the 2nd goal... at 23:37 7 Dec 2025
I read the BBC report first and it put all 3 of our goals down to poor defending while describing the brilliance of the WBA goal. Almost made it sound like we were lucky. Maybe the writer is a WBA fan? The first, a pinpoint cross superbly delivered and a textbook header giving the keeper no chance. The others down to effective pressing causing panic and the modern day refusal by defenders to smack it into the stands when under that kind of pressure. [Post edited 7 Dec 23:58]

I remember being met by hostile police coming off the train at several away venues. Shoving people around, trying to provoke a reaction etc. A visit to Southampton stands out in the memory because the police were actually friendly when we arrived. |

No excuses for not getting out of the group when a bunch of 3rd place teams will get through and there'll be some dross in the tournament due to increased numbers. |

Yeah I was interested in Vegas but some relatives went and said its a bit of a shit hole. Also I have no interest in gambling and casinos. Dubai to me just seems like a place that would be full of w**kers. [Post edited 4 Dec 22:48]

Probably watching football in South America for me. Would love to run a marathon but am not getting any younger and not sure if I'd find the time (or the motivation 😄) for the training. May well do at least a half next year though, that I think I could manage ok. I've seen us in an FA cup final, been to a European cup final, seen my team win the NRL grand final (South Sydney in 2014), watched us beat Chelscum 6-0, been at two Sydney ashes tests won by England in front of a raucous England support, skydived, bungee jumped (never again, but incredible!) and seen a lot of my favourite bands live. So not too bad really. [Post edited 4 Dec 22:39]
