Have you ever betted against QPR ???
at 00:11 13 Mar 2026

Yes a few years ago where we were having a run of form not unlike now and I got on at 150/1 for relegation. Stood to win about $9k Australian dollars if it happened. It was becoming more and more likely until a scrappy win against a very poor Forest side pretty much ensured safety.

Similar odds were available a few games ago and I considered doing it again.

I've never felt more like starting the Blues Match Thread..

This is starting to look a lot like Birmingham''s collapse a couple of seasons ago.

All about the money now. The prem is dull as dishwater, I've had next to no interest in it for years. A bit of a shame really.

What celebrity could help financially for QPR ?

Exactly, I don't exactly think their sponsorship deals would look quite the same without the global TV audience they currently enjoy.

Wrexham will hit a ceiling soon and I'm not sure where the ratings come from then when their plastic online fan base realises they aren't winning the prem and the champions league (but they might still cling to hopes for the world cup or euros...).

There's a couple of people at work here with no prior interest in football who suddenly "support" Disney FC, still believing its some sort of underdog fairytale, but Aussies are notorious for vanishing when any team they support stops winning. No fire drills required as they don't even turn up!

Maybe all their plastic online fans from Nigeria etc could send the club some money?

This was in the ceefax/oracle days and it was still showing as 2-0 around the time the game was finishing, so I thought we were through and then it suddenly updated.

Didn't we ship 4 at Scunthorpe the year we won the league?

Is it time to give Jimmy a rest ???

He'd be back out there within 30 mins after JCS "felt something" that puts him out for the rest of the season.

This season Vs last - progression
at 22:22 22 Feb 2026

I think the amount of injuries we've had would have crippled us in the last few seasons. This time we're holding up ok, not brilliant but ok. That alone for me says we have much more squad depth now with of course still some well documented gaps.

Personally I liked the way he atoned for the miss (second one wasn't as bad) by providing his own assist for the 3rd goal. Good signs. From what I watched the team worked really hard to shut down Hull's playing style.

We shouldn't forget its his first season at this level and how many people wrote Madsen off last season.

Hull had a very distinctive playing style and we set up well to both frustrate them and try to create chances ourselves.

This. Its he said, she said. Innocent until proven guilty.

Surely also any liability would be skewed towards the club where it allegedly happened?

Not much better here in Aus, all about revenue raising. Argue and you'll get a templated response saying go to court if you want to fight it. No human interaction. Of course most people won't go to court over smallish amounts and they know this, because of the risk of have costs awarded against you etc. You get told "its on our website" in relation to rules that aren't obvious, as if the general public spends its time perusing the finer points of driver penalty rules at weekends.

Last time I was in the UK I had a hire car and drove through Harrow the way I always had when living there. After getting back here discovered I'd been fined and credit card already debited by the car hire firm. Wrote to the council explaining I was visiting on holiday, that road had always been fine to drive through back when I lived there and I simply didn't know new rules now applied. Waste of time.
