We do have a Plan B, don't we?

This is clearly an over the top reaction to conceding eleven goals in our last three matches. What's Plan B should we concede first?

I'll take one for the team Boro Match thread!!!!
at 17:30 8 Mar 2026

I completely agree. The front line aren't pressing, they're hanging back and Boro are simply passing around them. I haven't seen too many decent tackles from us (Ronnie made one on the left hand side). Misplaced passes going forward don't help our cause either.

I appreciate that this side wouldn't be our first choice if we didn't have such a lengthy injury list, but it has been a frustrating watch so far.

I can't imagine any of their players would have relegation clauses in their contracts.

I recall a match against them in Sept '13, when we were top of the league. It was just before Steve McLaren left the coaching staff to take on the Derby job. He had the team purring. There was one episode of tiki-taka play which had the crowd singing "Ole". I couldn't find that online, but came across these highlights from the lad Niko, who was man of the match.

West Ham have to overtake Spurs first. That's not happening anytime soon.

It will not be perceived as us being "on the beach". It is an opportunity to give some promising players their opportunities to showcase their talents on the first team. We are building for the future.

He has clearly been brought in to earn the ten points required to survive this season. Good luck with that!

Ten Point Tudor.

We're growing into the game in this second half and beginning to dominate territory and possession. One elusive glimpse of quality from our front line would win it.

THOMAS FRANK SACKED...

If precedent at Spurs is anything to go by, if that scenario happened, then they'd sack the manager.

I feel sorry for Paul Hall. All he was clearly trying to do was boost a young player's confidence.

If Harry Redknapp told a reporter that a young player in the reserves, with no first team appearances, could be as good as Luka Modric, would you rely on that as evidence in Court for a multi million pound claim?

THOMAS FRANK SACKED...
at 14:02 11 Feb 2026

So Ange Postecoglou gets sacked immediately after winning the Europa Cup, their first trophy in 17 years, thereby securing Champions League qualification.

Next up, Thomas Frank secures a place in the last 16 of the Champions League and gets the sack

Both achievements are remarkable given how poor the squad appears to be, despite the quality of the stadium, the owners expectations and the players reputations. The manager isn't the problem.

I'm sure Ange will throw an extra couple of shrimp on the barbie and put a few extra cans in the fridge, in anticipation of inviting Thomas over for an opportunity to swap notes, seeing as Thomas just secured an early release.

How many goals had Clive Allen scored before he became 21? He had already been sold for a million quid, twice, by then, back in the days when a million quid was considered a lot of money for a player.

That's a really enlightening article. Thanks for sharing. I now see why Jonny Sexton was kept on the pitch for the whole match against the All Blacks in the World Cup Quarter Final.

True. I was watching it thinking that in snooker or rugby union the referee would have given him a warning of the consequences should he continue to commit fouls.

Ireland are in a tough group and probably needed to minimise unforced errors to win today. That didn't happen and the victory, ahem, slipped through their fingers.

Ireland did really well with the ball against Sri Lanka, bar two loose overs towards the end. Unfortunately they simply didn't score enough boundaries when they needed them and were guilty of chasing too hard.
