Yes, I definitely empathise with them - in many ways it shows up how flawed VAR is. He blew up early for Senegal's goal but then because he doesn't blow up for the second incident, it gets scrutinised. Even then, you could argue that at every set piece there are similar tussles going on between defenders and attackers that don't result in anything, so it just seems random to focus on one challenge among hundreds that take place in a match. Football is imperfect; that's why it is so thrilling. You can't use VAR for everything that goes on, so why use it at all? [Post edited 19 Jan 17:22]

Totally agree about playing Kone on his own. He looks a different player when we feed him in the box, rather than him having to play deeper with Burrell in front of him. Maybe stick Morgan as the extra man in midfield with Madsen and Hayden? Yes, we have injuries but we still have a decent starting line-up and should be looking to beat Oxford IMO. |

Absolute scenes. I don't blame Senegal tbh - completely bent. |

Arguably none of our four wingers have been great this season. |

I didn't see the match and have only just caught up with the 'highlights' on ITV4 - a Stoke shot into the side netting and that Kone chance. So yes, 0-0 is not a bad result away from home with our injury list. However, what value does a draw really have with three points for a win? I suppose morale is higher in not losing. And yes, the away support does seem to be getting thin gruel in terms of entertainment recently - our good early season away form seems a long way away. |

Meanwhile the Death Star signs another excellent player despite the 115 charges. |

Is the film anything to do with the play? |

I saw this yesterday. It really is incredible but I suppose the 'selling 9,000 tickets in an afternoon' proves there is a lot of interest, particularly among younger fans and those priced out of Premier League football. Bizarrely, the ground is another significant selling factor - after all, wouldn't you rather watch a game there than somewhere like last week? |

The tournament has been really disappointing so far, as evidenced by the eight 6-2 results. |

The problem with means testing pensioners is similar to what happened with the winter fuel payments. Not a good look to be seen to be hassling pensioners about free bus travel and I'd be amazed if this happened as whichever party does it will be despised. It's not like buses cost much to travel on in London (capped at just £5.25 a day). Kids under 11 travel free already and whenever I'm on the bus half the people seem to get free rides by badgering the driver anyway! |

We've definitely seen potential to improve - for example, the goal against Leicester and the Sunderland game last season. However, he has regressed a bit this season. There are games where you want him to be dominating the midfield but he's been ineffectual. Arguably, that's because we've played two in the middle - maybe in a three, he'd have a bit more leeway? He is a funny one - I still think he could be a much more progressive player in the future but can see why we will sell him at his current value. [Post edited 14 Jan 10:28]

Honestly, I'm done with football when they're disallowing goals for that. What a farce. |

As with everything in modern football, the rules have changed to benefit the bigger clubs. https://talksport.com/football Sign a £62.5m winger in January and of course he can play in the semi-final. |
