 | Forum Reply | I'll take one for the team Boro Match thread!!!! at 21:14 8 Mar 2026
I thought we were totally outclassed today. If Boro can play like that next season, they could well finish halfway up the PL. I'd like to say we hardly.made a tackle but the truth is we rarely got close enough. Perhaps the 1st should have been disallowed- for handball or offside or both. Mbengue's positioning for no 2 was poor. Again! 3 was a class finish. And ,hopefully Smith will learn from the penalty. But, top and bottom, we are having to play too many players who are struggling/not good enough to cover for all the injured. You get away with it sometimes. But not often. |

Heat pumps are OK. Pricey to install but not expensive to run if you keep a constant temperature. Bringing it up to temp is the big cost. |

I played against h as a 10yo and 5 a side with him in my teens. His twin brother, Tony, played semi pro for Southall |

Is there anything about Twitter that isn't a shtshow? Only thing keeping many on that toxic site is a history of a huge base, which is declining. Many people/ govts/businesses are quitting. |

I've been to White Hart Lane but not the new one. Do I need both if I'm going for the 92? There won't be any trouble getting tickets, especially if they carry on charging £76 each. |

I was there as a 14yo with my younger brother. Thought we were getting stuffed at HT. Great comeback. Was also at Wembley the year before for 2 World CUp games. The 2-0 win over Mexico and the SF against Portugal. |

The difficulties we have is that far too many of our loanees aren't even good enough for National League level. The current exceptions are Alfie Lloyd (Lincoln in L1), Cooper (Sheff Wed), Emerson Sutton (Harrogate in L2), Akindeleni (Morecambe in Nat League). With the exception of Cooper, who is now injured, the others are not regular starters. They aren't going to improve if not selected by their loan clubs. |

Much is a repeat of what was issued on official Web site a while ago. I get the benefits, provided they can be delivered. My concern is that a move to Cat 1 will add Co siderably extra costs, on a monthly basis, due to additional staffing. If so, is that an affordable cost? It will take years to deliver a conveyor belt of first team players. |

Injuries have caught up with a mid-table Championship squad. Who,'d have thought it. Go back and read the report from Southampton and add up the value of the players they had at their disposal. Then compare that to the value of our squad and add in who we have missing. Is it any wonder performances have slumped. Maybe, just maybe, many of the players who are in their early 20s, or younger, will be a little better for a season of Championship football. If that happens, then a top half finish is achievable. However, if you expect a serious tilt at the top 6 you're going to need a few years of steady improvement. |

The building blocks all came off the bench on Tuesday. Morgan, Bennie, Adamson, Esquerdinha and, even Varane. Expect to see more of those 5. Plus Smith, Alahmaeyhu? |

Walsh was poor but he wasn't alone in that. I'm not sure he could have done anything about the first or the last but, as I'm sure he would acknowledge, he was largely responsible for the others. Saying that, it was Mbengue who lost Matsuki for the unmarked header. And Mbengue got skinned for the others. Overall, Walsh has looked the best of the 3 keepers we have used. At 23, the potential is significant. Perhaps he should have had a L1 loan earlier, but it's far too late now.p |

One thing that has impressed me is the discipline to stay in shape and deny the opposition space. It starts from the front and both Kolli and Kone worked hard to limit their options. If the front 2 make life difficult, it's so much easier for the rest of the team They only had 2 attempts on target, the goal and Walsh's save. The goal was preventable with both RND and Ronnie culpable. The way Hull started I didn't think it was going to be so comfortable. |

QPR teams have already been involved in 2 x 1-0 home wins this week. Hard to see past a repeat on Sat lunchtime. FYI - DS beat Cardiff 1-0; the women lost 1-0 @ Craven Cottage. |

It's that last bit that really concerns me. I invested in the 2021 Bond, which helped to build the training ground. I've extended it for another 3 years to support the love to Cat 1 Academy. But if there's a £10m charge over the ground, the value of the bond would be close to negligible. |
