I was watching the Irish cruise into a 2-0 lead on RTE but my internet feed was so bad after half time, that I had to give up and watch Wales on BBC 2.
What happened? |

The investigation only goes up to 2018. Have City been squeaky clean since then? |

I think you are right on the titles debate. If you take them away what do you do with them?
Giving them to the team that finished as runners up, is getting them secondhand, rewriting history and recognising a justice league
Leaving them blank means everyone has wasted years going for titles that were eventually withdrawn.
I believe the best policy is to asterisk all those league and cup wins with sanctioned as broke financial rules. Do it for Fulham Broadway too. Then start a charity auction for the players to donate their medals to a good cause(s). |

Problem is even if they're all playing well, I don't think you can be competitive in the Championship with many little guys.
Chair, Lamptey and Smyth do ok but Saito and Dembele struggle with the physicality.
Having too many small players on the pitch makes you weaker at set pieces, especially as one of our taller players, Madsen takes most of them. Jimmy is the only other really big player that we've got; opponents concentrate on trying to stop him and we are usually left hoping that Ronnie, JCS etc are out smarting and out jumping taller markers. Isn't it a bit late to start challenging the FFP rules when you signed up to them in February 2013?
Some of these charges predate that anyway. So there must be some false and/or fraudulent practices that cannot be attributed to spending limits. Could some of these be of interest to HMRC? |

Nah, don't feed it, just treat it with the contempt it deserves. |

The Nations League qualifying provides a much more competitive challenge than the Euros or the World Cup.
I do also think this four matches in less than two weeks, which forced us to play five in fifteen days is utter madness. |

Good point James about Isaak but I'm not sure Gazza would want another 'boy' in the line up.
As for two strikers, that would have meant changing the game plan that had been prepared, which causes additional disruption.
I personally think Varane is a much stronger replacement in central attacking midfield than Saito.
Varane's stats.6 passes 100%,not too shabby in 19 minutes

If replacing Vale with Varane was such an awful decision, who would you have replaced him with? Alemayehu was the only other central midfield player on the bench. |

I agree on Scarlett. I thought Varane was playing ok in a mainly more forward role but was having to come deep because our passing was atrocious. Kamara was very shaky.
Both Varane and Scarlett were removed for tactical reasons not because they were playing poorly. |

Saito was running at a retreating defence that was gradually tiring and losing shape, whereas Scarlett was playing in the first half before any of that had commenced.
It usually seems easier when coming on as a sub. |

FFS, FIFA take almost three weeks out of the league programme and we still end up with games being played so close to the restart. |

It's going ahead. I think it's one way, turn left onto the A4 and head down towards the Broadway and U turn under the flyover.
When will they realise, it causes more jams, increased fuel use and extra pollution.

As an addendum to the singing and chanting thread, I refuse to join in with Silver Lining before kick off. We lost in the first game and conceded in the first minute, got an early red card and conceded again before HT in the second one. It's affecting the subconscious by making us believe we have won before we start.
Jeff clearly wrote it for us to celebrate our wins and must be 'turning in his grave' at it's currently misuse.
It's got to stop now, before it does any more damage |

I'm fairly sure we have only named 24 players in our squad. Thereby, keeping the option of adding a free agent or if not presumably Dembele could be added, if fit, before January. |

They only seem to have two games, both against Brazil. In Brisbane on the 25th and Townsville on the 28th. Hopefully, he will be back in plenty of time for the 9th October. |
