Not that any of them would admit it now but in 96 their away support actually sat down, so it wasn't just that they made no noise.
My top three would be,
2019 4-0, an absolute demolition and i actually think Ralph saved them further humiliation because we would've won by more if he hadn't taken some key players off.
League Cup game at St Mary's when they booed the minutes silence for ted bates, i think that's the most evil i've heard st mary's and the noise from whistleing every time tehy touched the ball was deafening.
And one that's more about a single player than anything else, the 3-0 in 2003 if for nothing other than little Marian's goal, which is still one of my favourite ever goals for the club.
Weirdly 96 was a bit of a let down for me as it was just too easy, they never really showed up either on the pitch or in the stands and we took them apart, it's a shame le tiss didn't score too |

wasn't just the worst game against those c*nts it's probably the worst game i've been to ever.
That f*cking amarillo song haunting us and the players absolutely crumbling. Felt like Redknapp didn't even want to win the game too.
Thankfully 2019 cleared some of those ghosts away though |

Gonna be a long week this week i think, as much as i love the derby i also f*cking hate the build up to it, losing to those lying, scabbing, emergency service abusing, charity robbing, fish f*cking c*nts is just not an option.
Shame the club/police have ruined the game with the bubble so you lose some of the menace, also i was surprised last season with how meek their away support had become, more replica shirts than i've ever seen from them and they seemed to just work their way through the league one song book more out of habit.
Think the last time i saw their support so poor was 96 when they turned up at the Dell and sat down in the away end. |

A hill i'll die on is we got promoted despite Martin, he had a squad that should've been top two and got it to finish 4th, then only got through the play offs by changing his style of football.
Everyone with half a brain cell could see what would happen in the premier league, and there were even people in my group on the tube back after the play off final saying we should sack him there and then |

Why would the tv revenue go down? People don't care about the name of the club if they're not from this country they care about the players and success, City were hardly a huge club before their buy out, did that affect the revenue of the premier league.
If Wrexham went up and were bought out by Elon Musk do you think tv ratings would drop? If Saints got bought by Jeff Bezos do you think the tv rights wouldn't sell?
And as for sustainable it's only unsustainable if they leave, City were bought out in 2008, that's 18 years they've been owners, and they're so rich City are a rounding error on their spreadsheet, why is that any less sustainable for them than reliance on tv rights or fans who are fickle because a club is a brand?
Don't get me wrong i hate all of it, i'm not arguing one is good and the other is bad, i think both are f*cking sh*t. But i'm not going to wring my hands in false shock and think City have brought anything into disrepute more than anyone else.
And i'm definitely not going to get angry because they've broken a technicality.
All anyone is getting angry about is that city have broken technicalities, they're all angry about the wrong thing.
You should instead be angry that clubs can go out and spend £1bn on players because there's no transfer cap.
You should be angry that clubs can spend £100m on wages because there's no wage cap.
You should be angry that academy players can be poached before they've played a game for the team that invested in them.
You should be angry that tv rights aren't fairly distributed, that gate receipts aren't shared.
You should be angry that clubs don't have a 50+1 model.
You should be angry that there's no football regulator.
But what do i know, i'm just a legacy fan |

But surely getting a rich investor is still generating income? It's just that some body has decided that type of investment is bad and the other type is good.
It doesn't make a difference to me where that money comes from, the money itself is corrupt and rigs the game.
What's needed isn't relegating City for doing it "the wrong way", it's to put in place rules and changes that stop people doing it any way.
Football needs a complete reset, and simply banning state money isn't that. |

My point is the rule is arbitrary, the issue is the money, the rule was changed after it had been done by other clubs, mainly to stop the rich clubs being challenged.
Why is one way of getting obscene amounts of money in a club different to another? What's different in City spending £100m on a player funded by a state and Liverpool spending £100m on a player funded by overseas fans?
From a pure ethical perspective why is one "bad" and the other "good"?

I know i'll be the outlier here but i do think people are massively over reacting about this.
Yes they broke the rules but is the upshot of them breaking the rules really any different to what Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. do anyway?
I mean every single one of the big clubs rigs the game with their money, so why is it "worse" that that money comes from a rich owner instead of selling replica shirts abroad, or getting more of the tv revenue than the smaller clubs?
The whole thing just smacks of complete hypocrisy to me, Chelsea did it for decades, Blackburn did it for a few seasons, Liverpool and United do it in all but name, and we're supposed to somehow think City have done the equivalent of a tonya harding?
Personally i'd take this all a lot more seriously if they actually did something about the obscene money that kills the game no matter where it came from, because i don't see any difference just because of the source of where it came from |

But that's sort of the point, Stevie in the 80s is as different as to be a new band.
As for Lionel Richie, some of his early stuff with the Commodores was great, i mean Easy is a classic soul tune.
As for benefit of the doubt do you never re-listen to artists you didn't like growing up? I mean i do it loads, for example just recently i've spent time digging into disco music that i thought was cheesy and crap and realised i'm massively wrong about that, same way i've been revisiting pop stuff like Kylie and Madonna and appreciating things i'd have dismissed at the time because i was too caught up in what i thought was "cool" |

Not de ridder, but mr wonderful himself, Stevie wonder.
Ahead of the 50th anniversary tour of arguably his best lp (not my favourite that’s music of my mind) he’s dropped an ep of songs that didn’t make the cut for the album.
I’m still gutted I missed out on tickets for his O2 shows as they’re on nights I’m already busy, but this is a next best thing. I just hope it gets a physical release as I’ve got all of his records up to the early 80s when he went too cheesy for me

I very intentionally keep out Middle East politics because I don’t know enough of the detail to have an informed opinion. But I’ll respect anyone whose beliefs are that strong they’ll take a principled and non violent stand in favour of them.
As for the poppies thing I know they used to not be political but they have unfortunately been politicised, the reaction to James mcclean who was also taking a valid and principled stance shows that.
I often think how angry my gran would’ve been at what Remembrance Day has become, to her it was a day of quiet and somber reflection |

For those saying keep politics out of football do you also think poppies on shirts should be banned and flags with things like stop the boats on them removed from stadiums, or is it just the politics you don't like that counts.

Tolstoy is a fascinating person, a pacifist and anarchist who rejected formal religion and the concept of a church but held strong spiritual beliefs.
